A Pirate's Life for Me

The Spire
Secondary Meeting Chambers
The Zeltron stood quietly, her arms clasped behind her back, a habit that she had picked up after the time she spent with the elder Tasgetius. Her ruby hues looked out the large window before her, the cityscape spanning out before her. The Spire was a massive construct that jutted up into the heavens from the world below, a small smirk crossing her lips as the thought that even the buildings of the Outer Rim Imperium would from time to time attempt to reach out and grab a piece of the Stars that lay before them.
As the door opened, she remained quiet, her back to it though she was always mindful of those individuals that came and went in her presence. While it was clear that the Supreme System Lord wanted to deal with this matter, other such negotiations and dealings took him away from such an important meeting, and thus he had entrusted it to her, his most trusted Underlord and a close ally since they had come clawing their way out of the Netherworld of the Force.
Planting her heel upon the ornate polished marble flooring of the large meeting hall, she slowly spun in place before looking upon the rag-tag group of individuals.
Pirates....
Every last individual, though they would have their use. With a soft smirk gracing her lips she stepped forward towards the large table, her hands coming out from behind her back to rest along the edge. Looking over those individuals in the room, she took a moment to collect her thoughts before she ran her hand along the edge of the table, causing the lights in the room to flicker to life. The window slowly become covered by a heavy blast shield to make the meeting a bit more private.
"Please take a seat, or stand, whichever you would prefer."
The Zeltron said with a soft and soothing voice before a protocol droid pulled out her seat for her. Slipping down into it, she crossed a leg over the other before softly waving her hand to the protocol droid, sending it around the room to take any orders for refreshments. The woman remained still, bringing her hands up so her elbows rest upon the arm rest, her fingers pressing into her chin as she calmly calculated and sized up each of the individuals that were present.

Thorn was at a loss to think of what had drawn the attention of the ORI. They were fairly unknown to him coming from beyond the cluster of planets that was the Hapes Consortium, but not so much so he blew off the invitation for his crew, or some of them, to meet with him. Captain Thorn was dressed no differently than he would be on any other day of occasion. His white muslin top was tucked into a tan canvas breech front pair of trousers. The legs of which were tucked into a pair brown leather boots, which clicked a muted thud along the ornate stone floor of the meeting hall. Sleeves were rolled just below the elbow on either arm exposing the colorful gear work tattoos his arms bosted in a full sleeve. A blue vest rest atop the shirt, and the captain finished the ensemble with a brown top hat.

Rathe took a seat, why not, the Zeltron had, and the natural pheromones she produced made it that much easier to relax and comfortable. Of course a Zeltron was sent to negotiate. She would be able to get whatever she wanted if she pressed her natural abilities far enough. Then again, she might get some unwanted attention from the captain if she did that as well. Thorn was known to have a wandering eye when it came to women, or so was the reputation.

"Rum, all the way around," he said to the droid as it came around.

His blue orbs settled on the Zeltron once more. Giving her seated form a once over, the pheromones were already making him a bit more unlike himself, or more like himself. Drumming his fingers on the table, he looked to the rest of the crew which had come with him before addressing the alluring female.

"To what do we owe this pleasure? Seems we got someone's attention..."

Insert Hilarious Title Here
This had been. . . unexpected, to say the least.
The Epicanthix had been dragged away from the engines of the Dragon's Thorn and was dragged to this meeting with [member="Thorn"], [member="Detorin"], and @Ydrin.
Kath was clad in cleanish white lace clothes, and her signature bronze goggles on her head, but even intense scrubbing couldn't remove all of the grease from her pale skin. She shuffled awkwardly and waited for her Captain to make the first move. As he sat, she sat next to him, and tried to look casual, blowing a lock of red hair out of her face.
The pirate leaned back in her chair, her grey eyes on [member="Ada Teighry"]. Without Kath, the Thorn would fall apart in a day.
Thorn may run the show, but the engineer kept the ship together.
She had some say, too.

As the group stepped into the meeting room, Ydrin last in the line with his hands clasped behind his back, purple eyes flickered around the room attempting to take every detail in and evaluate any threats. Finally those eyes landed on [member="Ada Teighry"], who he offered a brief nod to. He understood why the four of them were here, that this was essentially a job interview with Ms. Teighry, but Ydrin did not know much more than that nor did he know why he had been invited.

Sighing, he sank into one of the offered seats, tugging at the collar of his waistcoat so that is continued to reach up and cover his mouth, hiding it from view in its entirety. Leaning back slightly as a protocol droid placed a glass of rum before him, he offered a quick nod to the droid before turning his attention to the woman before him, posture mirroring her own.

With his usual limp, the old pirate lord wandered behind the rest of his fellow crew members. A meeting of some importance was to be held, and although he held not much of a leadership role on the ship, his experience gave him the right to advice and oversee such events. Whether or not the captain liked it, Detorin wouldn't allow these greenhorns to make any mistakes if the Dragon's Thorn were to become a name to be revered. In some way his past helped push himself to help shape the Thorn's future, the longing to once again be the terror of the hyperlanes. But those days were far away, and if they were to reach them they would need money and reputation. Both of these necessities could be found under the so called Outer Rim Imperium. This is why, at the moment, Detorin had no trouble meeting with them.

He sat with the crew, pulling the offered glass of rum to his mouth and taking a sip. It wasn't the best he'd tasted, but it was never really about the taste...
"Seems like we're all here. Shall we be gettin' started then?"

Leaning forward slightly, her hand ran along the edge of the large ornate table. The lights of the room slowly flickering and growing dimmer as the table began to shine with a feint blue hue. With a simple press of a button the table came to life, the hologram projector humming dully as the image of a large pyramidal shape vessel began to slowly rotate before the group. Small read outs popped up here and there, showing off its armaments and the capability to carry various smaller vessels within. It was then that her voice finally cracked the silence of the room once more.
Taking a moment to collect her thoughts, she brought her elbows up to rest against the table, her chin coming to rest against her hands. Looking over the image, she had studied them so many times that she could nearly point out every little point of interest on the vessels. Looking from each of the respective members that had arrived to the meeting, she brought her hand down to run along the table again. A few more clicks brought up the images of the vessels in orbit over the world, a sight she was sure that the guests had already seen.
"These are the vessels that we send against Pirates, or other such individuals that are deemed to be a hazard to the Outer Rim Imperium...."
She trailed off for a moment, letting her words sink in before she leaned forward once more.
"However. We have a proposition for the Dragon's Thorn"

Thorn did his best to not be distracted by the Zeltron. Her pheromones were not making that easy. Rather than wanting to be looking at a ship, he was too busy undressing her with his mind. Look it was her fault for inviting pirates to a meeting. Their brains would always be in the gutter. The ship, however caught his attention when he was told it was a thing they used to hunt pirates in.

Hand flattened on the table as he leaned in to get a closer look. So they had a proposition... Thorn wondered what it could be. He studied teh woman now. Was she loathing this meeting? Did she think Thorn was beneath her? She likely did, and this made the pirate captain smirk.

"What is this proposition you have then? I'm certainly all ears provided it keeps you from chasing me in one of those things."

As the holographic display of blueprints of a ship flickered into view above the table, Ydrin's attention snapped from the Zeltron before him to the blue, translucent image. His eyes flickered around the blueprints, committing them to memory while they were in view, he held no illusion that these were just for show, there was a reason these ships were being shown, and from the slight tensing at the corner of the Zeltron's lips, that reason was to be soon revealed.

Sure enough, as soon as the blueprints was replaced with the image of the same ships gathered around the planet, that reason was revealed. The ships were designed to target pirates. Closing his eyes, Ydrin could easily imagine the struggle the crew would have to survive against such a large gathering of such ships, let alone escape. When the knowledge that and offer was on the table came, a wry smirk crossed his lips. 'I thought I had escaped politics by leaving.' He sighed and rubbed at his forehead while his captain broached the subject of the offer itself.

'So,' Ydrin's closed eyes cracked open minutely to stare at the Zeltron, 'this is your stick, but what's the lure? And how are you going to wield the stick? Is this a threat to get us to listen, or one to force us to follow the path that gives you the best payoff?' Huffing slightly in amusement at himself for falling back into his old role back within his old House, when he was still nobility, Ydrin leant back, content to stay silent until the proposition was spoken.

A soft smirk crossed her lips as she sat up, smoothing her hands out over her crossed legs as she looked upon those that sat around the table. Her hand coming up and lightly snapping her fingers, showing another sign of power. It was nearly nothing between the snap of her fingers and the doors bursting open to reveal a series of heavily armed guards rushing in before taking up positions around the individuals, with two more guards placing themselves between the Zeltronian woman and the pirates.
That same soft smirk rest upon her lips as she looked towards the captain, then to the one whom had spoke, though she had brushed it away for a moment. She was more interested in testing the waters and watching before she closed her eyes. Taking in a deep breath, her eyes shot open again as they quickly moved over the faces.

"There is no lure. No catch or hook. This is not a threat, this is a promise."

She spoke bluntly and to the point, as she felt no need to beat around the bush as it were. Nodding softly, the guards lowered their weapons before marching out of the room, leaving the meeting as it had been once before, just the five sitting at the table. The silence only broken once more as she spoke.

"The proposition is simple. You join the Outer Rim Imperium. You act as you decide, and we will not interfere. You pillage and plunder to your hearts content and you come right back here. Our mechanics fix up your ship, and you get to continue about your lives. All we ask is that you share a small portion of your gains and you swear yourselves to the Imperium. Or there is the alternative."
