A new toy....

Arthos Vynea

Teth was the home of many influences both old, and new in the galaxy. Several force groups had used the planet at one time or another, and in fact there were rumors that some still did. The now long dead Galactic Empire had influences on Teth even still, via an old Stormtrooper legion now long integrated into the planet's defense force, and the Imperial Shipyards floating in orbit around the planet itself. Now another force was making it's presence and influence known on Teth, a figure garbed in shadows and rumor, who's influence rested more in the darkness then in the light.

The pulling of strings throughout several sectors had nearly landed the sale of the old shipyards into her hands at quite the cut in price. Of course when someone negotiates from the bridge of Tulak Horde Star Destroyer people had a tendency to see things the way you wanted them to. Joining her was one of her many apprentices, Viceroy Arthos Vynea of the CIS. He arrived in no official capacity, and without an escort, merely his personal ship. The CIS believed him to be all theirs, while his true loyalty secretly belongs to his Master, @Kära Vi'dreya.

They shipyards themselves were silent, and still as the army of worker droids waited as silent sentinels for their first orders. The cold steel of the station even felt lifeless as Arthos reached out with the force to touch it, his inner passions slowly trying to move out while still hiding his own sensitivity within himself. There wasn't a single other life form on the station other then master, and apprentice as they stood around a large table an image of a new ship model hanging above it rotating slowly. Arthos did not speak as he awaited his master's plan, watching the spinning image he was curious as to what she had planned.

Teth had been on the tables since Kyros had first reached Knighthood; a planet outside of the influence of any major power within the Galaxy it was largely unmonitored, and since it was neither the largest or greatest shipyard her procuring of it had barely made a rustle within the forests of Teth. Nor was she stupid enough to use her own name or persona, of course the power she held was still obvious to those she had acquired it from.

And now there she was; already production had begun on minor aspects of the yachts they would be producing: drones and droids, speeders and escape pods, everything a rich businessman wanted. But the model itself was still on the tables, still to be negotiated and devised. That was why Arthos was here. She knew he had more worth than to be a simple puppet within institutions such as the Senate and whatever the CIS' equivalent was. But the time would not be wasted where training was concerned, either; Arthos had a long way to go, even if he had been promoted within the CIS' Force Sensitive structure. He would always remain her Apprentice, until such a time as she saw fit.

Now, as they stood within the boardroom which held a nice holoprojector, she turned her sights to the Zabrak at her side. "Military vessels are overproduced, the market is stagnant and exclusive to one Galactic Power or another; who wants to share their military knowledge with potential enemies?" Shaking her head she turned back to the holoprojection of a standard yacht vessel, sleek in design. She knew what its structure would be like, already, she had worked out the mechanics... But Kyros was not one to live a luxurious lifestyle, despite the wealth and power she had amassed. She did not know what a wealthy businessman would want outside of the essentials.

"That is why we are directing this at a different market, one which is for the most part dormant due to the warring state of the Galaxy, the constant chaos. Do you understand, Arthos?" But, of course, he knew there was another reason: behind the scenes it was also a guise for another market, one which only the wealthy could afford to upkeep. "Already we have an order in from a governor on Lianna, 20 of the highly trained ones. But we can't get them to him without the yacht prototype. That is why I summoned you here. We begin the true port of business today."

Her slaves were brilliantly raised, taken from birth, infancy or a young enough age that they could still be moulded. But slavery was illegal throughout most of the Galaxy, and even where it was permitted the likelihood of vigilante and Jedi liberators was, as ever, high. Patience and caution mattered in this trade.

The Imperial shipyards of Teth were about as far from civilized space as you could get at this point in time. It had once been an important installation, and in it's own mind it remained quite imperial. The Empire it served was long dead and ever attempt to recreate it had ended in failure for one reason or another, and quite possibly due to the fear of what it had once been. It had left them incredibly easy to manipulate though, the entire structure craved order and command, and RI had provided that quite handily. They'd only been to happy to give their support and loyalty to their cause with shadows and whispers for promises, and in truth they wanted nothing more. The years of isolation had resulted in a very ingrained garrison they had no actual desire to go anywhere, or do anything.

The ship's hull was already constructed, as well as its vital systems, the floors were empty though as blank canvas it sat in the station's dock awaiting the hand of the artist. Pressing a button on a nearby holo display unit Arthos blinked as the an enormous model of the ship appeared in lights above the design floor. It was designed in such a way that you could have the model appear at half scale and actually move through it as it was designed. Removing the exterior walls to reveal the naked floors, and systems installed into the craft itself he nodded to the image. "I understand completely, Master, and I believe we have something here that take the market by storm. The initial shock value matters more then anything with these models, we have to make our brand stand out much farther then the competition, a shock and awe strategy of luxury."

Very good, it seemed her student had the right head on his shoulder. Nodding her head softly the woman turned back to the basic plans which had been brought up on the screen, little more than the outershell of a potential product. It had been hastily formed, lacking any details. But that was the point, they were here to sort that out. The measurements put it at just under 400 metres long, with ample space for the sort of clients they were aiming their vessels at. "Strip it of the military grade weaponry, it will be redundant given our target audience. Basic armaments will suffice, with offensive backup in the hangar. That way it is out of sight and mind of the client." No rich member of society wanted to see their security procedures, simply trust that they would do as they were intended to.

"The funding which would have been put into the armaments should ensure top quality furnishings and an increased speed threshold." Yet Kära herself was not a luxurious individual, she never sought anything frivolous and thus would require input on the finer details. "Tell me, as a Senator of various Major Powers in this Galaxy, what sort of fixtures and fittings do higher men desire?"
