Failure Is Not Fatal
Roadin did one final check of his gear as the airspeeder moved between skyscrapers at terrifying speeds. The blacked-out transport moved with barely a whine as their droid pilot twisted and turned between the buildings. The artificial lights from the windows they passed were little more than a blur, almost akin to the streak of stars as a ship entered hyperspace. Yet no one paid any heed to their reckless journey; this was a team of professionals.
“Everyone good?”Roadin asked. Six pairs of eyes looked out at him from beneath black makeup. Each gave a curt, affirmative nod. This was the third bank they’d hit in the system so far. Each operation had gone smoothly. The Hutt Cartel provided the Intel, paid off the people on the inside. All they had to do was follow the plan.
“Perimeter alerts have been disabled, we’re good to go.”
“Approaching drop point.”
The speeder descended swiftly and came to a complete halt over the squat building. All six alighted and the speeder vanished into the night sky within a second. They moved out in pairs towards their entry point, coming to a halt at the edge of the roof.
