A Meeting of Miniscule Matters

Savri had heard of the Sancutary Systems Liberation Army. An organization dediacted to restoring peace and order in the Western Reaches. These people knew how the galaxy should have been run. Through Democracy. Through Strenghth. It was only through these things could the Galaxy truly be safe. From Tyrants. From Extra-Galactic Invaders. Planets had to be kept in line. Galaxies at large had to kept in line. Syestems had been destoyed because of the failure of multiple Galatic Goverments. It must be stopped. That was why he was here. Together The Army of Light and The Sancutary Syestems Liberation Army would be an Alliance to be reckoned with. " Are we Approaching the Coordinates?" He asked to the bridge officer who had dared to enter his private Sanctuary. " Yes Sir, [member="Eris Volcata"] has boarded the ship and is awaiting your arrival." He said. He was quite stern " High Channcellor" he quickly added. The man had beliefs. He would dare not address him in an inappropriate manner and lose his belifes " Good. I'll meet her shortly" he replied.

The invitation to treat with a potential ally was not to be taken lightly by Eris Volcata, but that didn't mean she had to like it. What this so-called Army of Light had to offer, she couldn't fathom. After all, she had never heard of them, and she was reasonably familiar with the galactic political scene. Still and all, it wouldn't do to let her natural skepticism get in the way of achieving her goals. And so she had presented herself at the coordinates with a bodyguard -- [member="Wesley Cole"] -- and select other members of her team. She had been a fighter all her life, but at almost sixty five years old, she wasn't necessarily the quickest, the most durable, or most dexterous these days, so she needed some backup.

She waited in the conference chamber, standing straight in a basic grey pantsuit and a high-necked traveling cloak, clutching a cane in both hands in front of her. She didn't lean on it -- today had been a good day as far as her joint pain was concerned -- but it was there in case she needed it. She wore her game face as well as a subtly jeweled brooch at her throat.

Savri proceeded to the Conference Room where he had directed his guards to take [member="Eris Volcata"]. When he entered the he was awaited by a one [member="Wesley Cole"]. The man seemed out of place in a meeting room but we all have our comforts. " Welcome aboard the PLS Archlord. I am High Chancellor Savri Sal II, formerly of the Sal Dynasty, and Survivor of the Dommion." He said once he entered. " You all must be... Exhausted. Please have a drink." He said passing them each a glass of whiskey. " We have much to discuss. Starting with who we both are."

Wesley still wasn't sure of his place in things. One moment he'd been just another Bakuran subject caught in the crosshairs of bigger fish, the next he was escorting something of a leader of their cause - [member="Eris Volcata"]. The woman was a tough old bird, Wes could tell straight off. At the same time however, she exuded a motherly confidence that he couldn't quite place. It was fitting though. If they wanted to be recognized by the greater galaxy, they would need someone familiar with the political scene - and he could readily admit he was not.

Today though, Wesley knew exactly what he was doing here. He was a bodyguard. His usual casual attire had been replaced by a pair of worn utility trousers and a heavy fabric shirt. Around his waist rest the brown leather belt, an aging blaster pistol nestled into the soft leather holster. It was mostly for show, Wes couldn't even remember the last time he'd worn the weapon much less fired it. The Bakuran didn't anticipate needing it but its presence made him a little uneasy. His attention was averted as the doors opened and a uniformed figure stepped into the room. A severe man stood before them, his eyes appraising their small delegation before introducing himself. The realm of politics well outside Wesley's domain, he paid attention as best he could, kindly refusing the offered drink.

Eris accepted the drink and even raised it in a silent salute to their host, [member="Savri Sal II"], before lifting it to her face. She gave it an experimental sniff; whiskey wasn't exactly her thing, but she could appreciate the good stuff from the cheap stuff, at the very least. Still, she did not drink, only lifted it to her mouth and let the liquor tingle against her lips before lowering her glass and setting it on the table. "Your hospitality is much appreciated after a long journey. Allow me to introduce my associate, Mr. Cole," she said, half-turning to her compatriot. She took the opportunity to subtly wipe her mouth before turning her attention back to Sal.

"My name is Eris Volcata, General with the Sanctuary Systems Liberation Army. I assume I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know," she said, her tone turning slightly wry, "Otherwise I'm not sure why you would have invited us. Unfortunately, my research into you has turned up frustratingly scant detail," she confessed, grasping the head of her cane with both hands now. "Perhaps you could be so kind as to fill me in on the salient details."

She gestured to the chairs flanking the conference table. "Shall we?"
