A meeting in the Market

[member="Se-khem-ka"]

The marketplace of Tairos was abuzz with activity. Both Anubians and Cathars were bustling about either to make purchases, get to work or home, or make a good sale. Sekhet-hotep-et was currently interested in the current stock of human slaves, and was certain she could easily outbet the others in this auction. The auctioneer, a shrewd and little grey Anubian (little for an Anubian, that is) that was already calling out in Annekh, describing the current batch of slaves. A few of them seemed fit and healthy enough for fighting pits, but most seemed only useful for common housework.

"I can find better house slaves in a common caravan..." She'd slowly shake her head, internally shuddering out the disturbingly intimate stare one of the auctioneer's guards was giving her. When the slaver called out for the first bet of five-hundred credits (the humans brought along this universal currency when they first invaded as colonists over ten thousand years ago), she decided to not make a bet, and simple watch the selling. The price was quickly increasing with every hand raised and voice calling out; seemed the local buyers either wanted the fighter slaves, or underestimated the overall value of the stock.

Tairos. Why Se-khem-ka found himself in a marketplace is beyond him... oh right. He was low on food. He watched on, looking among the many colored stalls filled with colorful fruits and vegetables. One particular stall caught his attention... yet it was more of a stage than a stall. An auction appeared to be going on, but what was the merchandise?

Se-khem-ka approached the small stage and noticed slaves lined up bound in plasteel restraints. most looked scrawny and underfed, while a select few looked good enough to fight. One of them seemed well enough to become a soldier. He looked on, not noticing the person he was headed for. He smacked into the figure, stumbling on top of them. "So sorry. I should be more careful next time eh?"

Sekhet soon became bored of the procession, and simultaneously disgusted by the leering guard (he looked like he was an old man...), and had turned around to leave. But, much to her surprise and annoyance, she ended up colliding with a man a couple feet shorter than her, but her unfocused state left her unbalanced enough to where she was the one sent to her back.

With him awkwardly landing on top of her in a most embarrassing position, she yelped once they hit the ground. She quickly looked up to toss him a furious glare and made to slap him, but stopped herself when she saw his face and heard his voice. He seemed genuinely sorry, and looked much more likable than the perverted old Anubian, and his voice wasn't the worse thing to listen to. Instead of slapping him across the face, she simply sighed and pulled herself up, easily carrying him to his paws.

"You are forgiven, sir. Are you here for this worthless stock of slaves?" She jerked her head back to the stage, ignoring the few amused and annoyed glances sent their way. Some seemed to not like her comment very much...

"You're joking, yes? I wouldn't even let them touch my armor." He flashed the woman a smile, dusting the sand off his fur. "No, I'm here to purchase food, seeing as I'm running out of it."

She'd smile softly in return, then turn to gaze through the crowd. She'd point down the street to her right, towards the food stalls. Various fresh meats and fruits would be seen amongst multiple stalls.

"The food is that way. I think I shall accompany you to purchase some fruit..." From how fine her fairly revealing silk clothing was, she seemed to be a rather wealthy woman who could afford to buy much in this market. When she turned to look back to him, she'd let her eyes flicker over his form to study him for the briefest of moments, all so she may gather what type of man she was dealing with.

Mentioned armor, and has a very muscular build... He's a soldier, definitely.

"I appreciate the company." He flashed another smile, walking with her. He noticed the way she scanned him, tilting his head slightly. "Don't drool." He chuckled a little at his own joke, cracking a smirk.

The rich Anubian would roll her eyes, her own smirk growing on her face. She internally thought it odd that she got along with a stranger so well, but she payed it no mind.

"Do dream on, warrior." She'd stare back at the food stalls, waiting for him to take the lead. A question quickly came to mind as she waited. "What are you called, warrior? I am Sekhet-hotep-et."

"Smart one, aren't you? Figuring out I am a warrior. I am Se-khem-ka. A pleasure to meet you." He bowed courteously, rising back up to his usual rigid stance.

"From what I can tell, you're either of noble blood, or just rich. Or both."

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Khem." She would bow in return, before turning to lead him off to the food market. She did not move with the rigidness and air of superiority that most rich people had, but instead was casual in her movements. Her arms hung loosely by her sides, and she would have a natural saunter to her hips as she walked. Of course, this all disappeared when she was allowed those she deemed "lesser species;" She was cold and impatient when it came to aliens.

"And yes, I happen to have a great deal of money." She'd answer him as she moved, slowly turning her gaze over her shoulder to see if he would follow.

"I can see that money isn't the only thing you're rich in." He took a moment to gaze upon her exposed thighs, his stomach doing frontflips for a bit as he bit his lip. He realized he was gawking, and snapped back to reality, picking up a fruit and inspecting it.

Sekhet quirked an eyebrow when he heard his comment, and glanced back over her shoulder to catch a quick look of his eyes being a bit too low. Of course, this was simply because he was a man. That's what she thought, anyways, so she'd let the comment and gawking go. Instead, she'd tease him just a bit while they were out here. It had been far too long since she had any form of fun, even a simple book to read!

So, she'd lean on a nearby law stone (similar to the Rosetta Stone) and cross her arms underneath her chest, and rest one leg over another so that just a bit more silky fur one her legs would be released.

"Do take your time, Se-khem."

The goods? That's a clever one. She was quickly growing to like this man and his confidence, and that was saying a lot. Generally, she felt neutral to most others, Anubian or not. She'd tilt her head to the side, openly eyeing him as he looked over the different pieces of food. She'd slowly walk over to him, and stop near enough so the ends of their fur were almost touching.

"I would suggest the http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Meiloorun_fruit]meiloorun melons. They are quite exotic, even in the outer galaxy." She'd point to the odd-looking melon, which the stall owner agreed with her rather excitedly on.

This woman was going to be the death of him. He could practically feel her through the force as she got very close to him.

She's bold... but I'm bolder.

Se-khem "accidentally" brushed his leg up against her, the feeling of her furred flesh against his sending shivers down his spine.

"Oops." He had a smirk plastered onto his muzzle.

Her own, imperceivable shiver wiggled its way down her spine, and she didn't bother trying to hide the fact she enjoyed the little accident. Indeed, he was a different one, once that she enjoyed. With a smirk, she'd grab a few meiloorun melons, hand the merchant a few hundred credits, and hand them off to Se-khem.

"Let's not get too excited out in the open. How about we have a meal, Se-khem?" With another flicker of her eyes over his form, and a thought for his personality... she deduced she found him a bit attractive, to say the least.

"A meal sounds great right now... maybe roles can be switched and I can cook." He smiled, picking up some meats, fruits and salts and handing credits to the shopkeeps. "My mother taught me to cook a while back. So what do you say?"

With a smile, she'd nod her agreement to him. She'd help carry some of the baskets, and also pay for a few foods in case he couldn't afford them alone. Personally, she hoped the night would go beyond a simple meal. Of course, she wouldn't let her hopes show in any way, outwardly.

"Shall you lead on?"

"Of course. Right this way." He held out his hand for her to take, holding two baskets in his other hand. "I'll be sure to carry you if you get tired." He flexed to prove he could do it.

She took his hand with a smile, her imagination going to a few different places of where this could go. But, the flexing was a bit much.

"Yes, you have big and lovely muscles." She'd roll her eyes, giving a small chuckle.

Se-khem chuckled with her, leading her through the city to his home.

About 38 minutes passed, and they finally arrived at the decent sized abode. It had large stone pillars, each having etched images of all of the Anubian deities; a gilded doorframe and door; and elaborate outdoor furniture.

"Welcome to my home."
