Duel A Matter of Honor

During the liberation of Mandalore, Adenn and Clan Mortui had been there. It was the third time they'd fought for Mandalore, for Sundari. The first being when the dar'jetii had betrayed them, the second was the failed liberation when the Network/VJE had attempted to free Mandalore. This third time, Adenn had sworn they would go all out. They would fight to the end, and do whatever it took to free Mandalore. So Clan Mortui went to aid the Mandalorian Union, with the fleet choosing to dive head first into the fray, planning on creating a hole in the Sith fleet alongside other Mandalorian assets.

Instead of helping blaze a whole alongside a Mandalorian fleet, they had been left out to dry by one Jaster Awaud. The man and his fleet had gone elsewhere, to do what, none of Clan Mortui knew. What they did know was they had been left out to dry. Two of their ships, vessels which had served for decades, were destroyed, countless Mandalorians were lost in each event. And in the end, their fleet had been supported by jetii ship assets, not Mandalorian ones. That left a bitter taste in their mouth, particularly Adenn's, and he told his clan that this matter of honor would be settled in due time.

That due time had finally come, as some modicum of peace reigned across Mandalorian space once more. Now was the best, and only time, to settle this matter. Several days before the event, Adenn contacted Jaster Awaud and his clan. He sent the man a simple challenge, one to avenge the blood and lives lost. It was to be a battle in a clear field on Mandalore, all weapons allowed, and everything but death on the table. Adenn wanted to see what Jaster would do. If he would behave similarly to the space above Mandalore, or with honor. And futhermore, Adenn wanted to avenge those who died because Jaster never provided them aid in battle.

Today, that duel would take place, in a clear field several dozens of kilometers away from the construction site of Sundari. Adenn was present, and alongside him were a handful of members of Clan Mortui. They were there to ensure honor was upheld on the dueling field. Amongst their number was Gunner, Adenn's closest and oldest friend, and the Admiral of the Fleet, who had last countless vode die. Those two, plus a further three vode, were there as witnesses, and friends to Adenn. At their head was of course Adenn. He was clad in his usual armor, helmet already donned, though he was gazing off towards the construction of Sundari, patiently waiting for Jaster Awaud to arrive.
