A Lotus Welcome

Hazel Zanteres

The Angel/Devil on your Shoulder
Location: Mid Rim - Monastery

Today was just another ordinary day for the Order of the Sacred Lotus. The skies above Monastery were bright and clear, the weather was pleasant and Sanctuary was abustle with activity. And Hazel was going to take full advantage of that fact. A couple of days had passed since the Mandalore refugees had arrived on the planet, and had run the good doctor ragged. To no fault of their own of course, she had taken it upon herself to oversee their care; and take on the turmoil that situation had piled on her. Ultimately though Bethany had insisted on her taking at least a few days off now that the refugees were all tended to. Hazel couldn't really argue against the woman; especially when she was persistant about something, and she knew Bethany was correct - she needed the break. She was even making plans to visit her home planet Hapes; which had been a very spur of the moment decision for Hazel.

So here she was standing at one of Sanctuary's landing pads, dressed in more casual clothes; though if she were honest with herself, she literally had just ditched her lab coat and called it 'casual'. That and the turtleneck really wasn't best suited for how hot Monastery could get at times.

The reason for her being here was that she was waiting for the arrival of one [member="Tarion Daemora"], the Prince of Kashi. Who had sent a message some hours ago, indicating he was on his way to finally visit. Hazel remembered back when she had first mentioned it to the others, they had been postively bewildered at the fact some prince wanted to come and see the Order; that and how she had ended up even crossing paths with him. Hazel had just shrugged, not really knowing how it happened beyond just happenstance.

Her encounter with Tarion had occured some time ago, shortly after she had first arrived on Monastery and officially joined the Order. She had been offworld restocking her personal supplies when she had run into the young prince who had gotten seperated from his companions and ended up in a bit of a scrap. Though that had been quite the understatement given he had suffered some injuries in the process. Not one to just let someone in need go without aid, Hazel had been quick to assist him. During this time they had discussed a number of topics one of which ended up being the Order of the Sacred Lotus. She must've made quite the impression on him, as by the time they parted ways he had spoken of his interest to some day visit the planet to see it for himself. Of which, Hazel agreed to show him around if he ever did.

And today was that day apparently.

Hazel had sent quick messages to [member="Bethany Kismet"], [member="Michael Sardun"] and [member="Hal Terrano"] about the impending arrival. Given that they were the Order's Council, it was probably not a half bad idea to have pop up at some point to greet him. Though she knew they'd likely be busy; Bethany especially given that she was probably catching up with Kahne, whom had only just arrived yesterday with Samara, his Padawan.

Who knows, maybe they'll come cross some of the other Order members during their tour around.

For days the Sacred Lotus had intrigued him with a level of curiosity that could only be describe as certain excitement. To him, the order sounded much like his own planet's Guardians of the Breath, though less...secretive, this had made Tarion crave an understanding of them. As he had promised this Hazel, he was on his way to visit. This woman had not too long ago patched him after a what he considered a misunderstanding between him and some people he had bumped into after getting separated from his small group at the time. After some words exchanged, the order had been brought up. Afterwards, he had spoken with some members of the Outer Rim who encouraged his meeting these people.

So, here he was, now landing on the planet of Monastery. It was more beautiful than he could imagine, truth be told. It was beginning to seem like all around him, the galaxy was starting a new war within itself. One Tarion felt he had no place in at the moment. He felt himself neutral to all it's bickering, and power slides. Sure, the Dominion was open to him, and the ORC was a loyal ally to his planet. But none of this seemed to really involve his being. This was why, even though he was a warrior in heart, in his spirit he knew he did not belong in those battles. Not yet.

Dressed in his Kashi fashion of a heir to the throne, Tarion felt at peace here as his steps took his further into the planet's city of Sanctuary. Blue eyes like crystals proposed that at the moment he was more awe struck by the planet, than focused on his original goal for being here.

Hazel heard the crackle of her comm as Sanctuary Control confirmed and permitted Tarion's ship to land. As she waited Hazel reminised about their past encounter, specifically when Tarion had brought up the fact he was a prince. It had pretty much been an offhand comment as she was tending to his injuries. Even now she wasn't sure whether he had intentionally kept it a secret or whether he had simply forgot to mention it. Though he did strike Hazel as the type of person that wouldn't just strut around proclaiming himself to be royalty. The moment it came up had been fairly amusing in itself, Tarion had commented on her similar her acions were to the 'Royal Healers' - stern and to the point. Hazel had brushed it off with a simple: 'Royal healers? What are you a prince of something?' Which in turn Tarion had simply nodded. She had been momentarily surprised, but was quickly back to doing her job. In her years of being a doctor, Hazel had never been called upon by any kind of royalty, let alone somehow running into one.

She let out a soft chuckle as she watched Tarion step off his ship and was immediately looking around, awestruck by his surroundings. Hazel had no doubt most of the people that first came here had the exact same reaction, she certainly had.

"Welcome to Monastery, Prince Tarion." She greeted him with a small bow of the head.
