A Jedi to the rescue [Rasu Gan]

[member="Rasu Gan"]
Nauren always got into situations like this, always got into those moments when things always went wrong around him and he found himself in an ever deepening hole.
Lets go back a few minutes though, to before he had a number of blasters leveled on his head and he was looking down the barrel once more.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nar'Shadaa, Refuge Sector 024
Fifteen Minutes before
Nauren yawned as he sat on the crate that was one of many inside the warehouse he had been asked to meet those around him in. It wasn't a grand place, actually it was rarely used these days and to be honest, he wasn't sure who owned it but he had been told it was a good place to meet up for information swaps. He was in the process of looking for the sabers of a long dead Jedi who had been active during the Clone Wars, a student of one of the most prominent figures that the history books talked about. That was why he had gotten a tip that someone on te planet might know a thing or two on where to head next in his search for them.
Anyways, that was why he found himself sitting on a crate in some warehouse that was off to the side of the street where it received little attention. But the fact that very little if anything was covered in dust made him curious about this place. It was obvious people still used it and quite often, but the problem came that his curiosity made him glance at the case to his right. He couldn't hold back his curiosity though as he smiled to himself and looked around to make sure that no one had entered in the warehouse itself while he decided to entertain that curiosity of his.
So with his body lifting from the crate he turned and knelt down, eyes scanning over the surface and smiling to himself as he looked for any identifying marks. A lot of the time shipment crates had a specific code that went with them, just to keep the secured but those locking mechanisms weren't exactly completely secure. Well, for forcers they were as he held his hand over the lock and waited while the force lifted from his palm and made its way into the container. A lot of the time it was a rather simple job to open the locks of a crate, usually just allowing the mechanism to work itself as if he had punched in the code itself, but he found these had a bit more complexity to them.
He was going to enjoy cracking this puzzle, his hand moving over it and waiting for the work to... well work. It was a bit hard really, someone really wanted this shipment secure, but every machine cracked if you pushed in the right place and this was no different as he smiled and stepped back.
Problem was, he stepped back into someone else as he smiled to himself and looked up from where he stood, a few men looking down at him with very unhappy features etched on their face. His own body shot forward and turned like a rabbit that had just been caught by a fox and now looked at that fox with that awkward guilty grin as the five goons leveled their gaze, and two of them with their blasters on the young man.
"Now i know what you guys are thinking, and before you do it, let me just tell you that that is a very bad idea. I mean I know it looks bad, but i was only just looking in the crate and seeing if it was anything interesting."
The men just stared at him before shouldering their weapons and drawing stun batons.
"Well kark..."

The Jedi truly despised Nat Shaddaa, however it seemed it was just her luck that the Shi'ido would return to the back-water world. Hutt's never could create a peaceful place, and while the lights and flare of the planet might seduce others, it also hid the shady deals and crimes that occurred under the surface. It was the fact that no one tired to hide these dealings though that made the woman's work so much easier. It was always the same gang, at the same warehouse. It made the Shi'ido laugh just at the thought of it all. They truly never learned. One of these very gangs had been causing the Sanctum some trouble, having reintroduced the spice trade once more to the Kessel system. Not wanting their hard work to have gone to waste, Rasu had planned to halt the shipments before they could shroud the system in addiction once more.

As the warehouse came into sight, the Shi'ido pulled her cloak tightly across her body. Rasu appeared almost invisible as she blended with the bustling crowds of the lower city, averting the attention of any unwanted eyes. She smirked under her hood, enjoying the fact that one could easily infiltrate gang territory and remain unnoticed. One did not even have to be a Jedi to achieve such a feat. It seemed the common thug was declining in skill, however the Shi'ido showed no sigh of complaining; all the more easier for her.

Leaving cover, the Jedi approached the entrance, slowing her pace as the sound of voices reached her ears. Taking a deep breath, Rasu scuttled into the entrance, taking shelter behind a stack of crates before peeking at the situation unfolding in front of her. A young man appeared to be causing trouble, however the group of thugs did not show any sign of forgiveness. Knowing that she had to intervene otherwise the boy was surely doomed, Rasu wrapped her hand around her lightsaber before approaching the group.

"OH WHAT HAVE YOU GOTTEN YOURSELF INTO NOW TRIS?" she would scream, plastering a deep scowl on her face. Hoping to pass off as some motherly figure, Rasu quickly jogged to join the young man before sending her palm flying hard into the shoulder of the human. "Something stupid no doubt?" she said eyeing him up, hoping her would play along as well. Drawing off of her motherly emotions, Rasu thought back to how she would have reacted to Allana, staring at the man with the disappointment and rage of any embarrassed parent. All the while her hand lay resting on her hip, fingers wrapped carefully around the hilt concealed underneath her cloak.

"I hope he hasn't caused you fine gentlemen any trouble?" she said, now turning to the thugs. Her voice radiated concern and sympathy. Knowing that their answer would determine the outcome of the situation, Rasu awaited the answer, all the while, praying the man behind her had any sense to play along.

Nauren's eyes had been moving a million miles a minute as he looked between each of the five men, the blurring in them truth to the low level of sight he had. That was something he was more than familiar with feeling less than comfortable over, that being his eyesight. Even when he was back on Naboo around Feena he had problems with it and it wasn't a secret why. His mother didn't have the most hawk like of vision... or for that fact mole like vision. He was lucky he even had eyes with her being his mother, being able to barely see was just a benefit and one he could augment with what little training he had in the force. Something else that he was more than familiar with thanks to them was the feeling of two metal cylinders in his sleeves as they sat hooked into place.

With the thugs about to move on him he almost dropped the hilts into his hands before blinking and seeing a Mirailan shouting and coming this way. Someone named Tris seemed to... wait is she looking at him. Nauren was confused and his hands stayed the dropping of the sabers, watching her come up to him and scold him like he was her kid... granted the half-breed elf with what looked to be nearly if not utterly blind eyes probably didn't fit next to the green skinned human-like alien... but hes known worse combinations during and uncomfortable job on Tatooine...

He didn't even want to know what the child of a Gamorrean and a Rodian would look like now that that mission came to mind...

Anyways, his mind drifted back to the current situation and he looked on at the woman again with a questioning shift in his eyes before looking past her. This woman is trying to stop a scene, which made him confused how this one even knew that this was all happening. He had no idea how she would have known... unless she is the contact. But if she is the contact, why did she run in and get herself into possible trouble rather than getting out of this place as soon as she could. Maybe she was just a senile woman who actually thought he was this Tris person, there was this possibility considering the trillions in the galaxy. Someone was bound to have a similar appearance sooner or later... but no. He could tell she was completely sane by one look at her eyes.

So why did she come up with this selfless idea. He had never seen her before, he had no bounty on his head so shes not a collector. Was se just being kind for no reason, but she had come without a weapon and only an idiot would walk into a gang outpost without a weapon. He atleast had a blasterpistol in sight at his side, which the thugs had seen already being why they were taking precautions but... all of this seemed odd to him and he looked at the woman once more before debating on if he should play along. They thugs would likely attack anyways, it wasn't like the chance to entertain themselves wasn't something he put past them, plus his empathy was flaring up with their emotions even if he was restraining it, considering how close they were.

"Ya... just being stupid... sorry." He hung his head, hoping the woman knew what she was doing but his hands retreating into the slightly too long sleeves of his jacket, the sabers nearly in his hands incase he needed them.

The situation had escalated quickly for the Shi'ido. What had supposed to have been a simple infiltration mission had become a lot more complicated. She could have easily let the situation proceed without her intervention, however her moral code had forced her to aid the young man. Her good nature appeared as a curse at times, leaving her open to betrayal of confusion. For all she knew, she could be aiding the group she had been sent to shutdown. Time would tell. Questions could be asked once these thugs were dealt with.

Grateful for the wit of the man behind her, Rasu turned to face him as he spoke, flashing a quick smile before meeting the gaze of the armed men once more.

"See he's apologised. Trust me, he will get a severe scolding when I'm through with him. This idiot will have wished you had got to him instead of me." Rasu said, her face still fixed in a grimace, hoping to find some form of approval in the stoic forms of the guards. However nothing would show, leaving the Shi'ido to become more worried and frustrated. She knew what the outcome would be, knowing these guards would not back down. Rasu had done her best, but it would seem it was time to reveal herself.

"Look gentleman. You're not getting to this young man without going through me first." addressing the group now. Witnessing the smirks and humour now rising on the thugs appearance, Rasu sighed softly. Obviously they had no idea who they were dealing with. "I assure you it will be no easy task." As she spoke, time seemed to slow for the woman. Blasters were raised, as her lightsaber fell from her cloak into her waiting hand. Golden light would be emitted from the hilt as it cast a shadow on the surrounding area. The guards stopped, some even lowering their weapons in surprise as the lightsaber continued to hum in the Shi'ido's hands.

Using this moment wisely, Rasu grabbed the arm of the man behind her, still keeping her gaze on the guards, fixing them with a focused and determined look. "Find some cover." she said, pulling Nauren in close before releasing her grip on the man. Something was definitely off about that boy, something that caused the woman's mind to prickle as if something had brushed past her consciousness. However she pushed the thought to the back of her mind as the shock began to wear off, and blasters were once more primed and aimed at the Jedi.

"This is your last war..." she began however her voice was drowned out by the eruption of blasterfire. In an instant her weapon became a blur, as she weaved intricate patterns with the saber. Energy bolts ricocheted in various directions, colliding with crates, beams and panels as Rasu continued her vicious dance. Thugs would never back down peacefully it would seem.

Well, for as long as her charade was working, he was prepared to help the woman in the same way that she had just tried to help him, that is until he saw a familiar cylinder enter her hand and the golden glow of an all too familiar blade showed itself to him. He sighed and knew what that was enough to know this woman was one of three things, or rather one of two things unless she was the calmest and kindest sith he had ever seen... and to be fair, the sith weren't known to be that deceptive these days so he pretty much was sure what this woman was, that being a Jedi, or more likely a Warden considering her outfit, get up, and the use of an otherwise strange colored crystal compared to their common colors.

Normally he would abandon Jedi to do their thing and escape their sight before they would realize what he was too, but they were stuck between a rock and a hard place as it was. Plus the woman had already got herself into enough danger, as well as was using her own body as a shield for him, that he was not going to just pull away and abandon her. So instead of hiding himself like normally, his hands released the hidden hooks in his sleeves, and in seconds two familiar objects entered his hands too. Instead of outright activating them, though, his hands raised and he reached out with the force to knock the blasters of the two with them towards the side, just enough to cut across the lower legs of two men. It was a trick he knew would only work once, but it would be enough to lessen the abilities of 2 of the five men, and arguably the most threatening ones considering the blasters won't work for much longer in this small area.

Now his next move relied on her own, he expected the woman to see the use of the force, and then instantly recognize what he had done. Whether she saw the sabers in his hands or not would probably give her a measure of assurance for his own safety, but he had been lucky enough for her to show up. He would never have been able to take on the five of them at once, but her intervention had given him the chance to split them up and to make this much easier. His body would pull away to the right, the blades igniting and him hoping onto the nearby crates as he tried to divert their attention into two different directions. He would hope that the woman was as good as she seemed, otherwise, he might have just gotten the two of them both in a deep situation as his sabers cast a soft glow on the crates, their color an odd grayish color.

Blaster bolts screamed as they were fired towards the Shi'ido. Rasu skillfully halted their path, catching them on her sabers before redirecting them back at her attackers. She could sense the caution now in their moves. They were aware of her skills and the advantage of surprise would no longer aid the Shi'ido. However there soon came a gap in blaster fire, followed by several screams of anguish. Rasu turned to face the young man, now holding two ignited sabers similar to her own. Her mouth opened slowly in surprise, however her attention returned to their attackers as they too came to their senses.

Recognising what the young man was attempting to do, Rasu extended her reach with the Force, swiftly pulling her wrists down, causing several crates to crash to the floor. The thugs leaped out of harms way separating the five, leaving Rasu and the young man to deal with fewer opponents. As Rasu veered in the opposite direction, she lured two of the five away, leaving her partner with the two disabled men and the fifth individual. She had hoped to avoid involving the young man at all, however it appeared that the Force had worked in a way in which both would be thrust into harms way.

With the blaster fire having lessened, Rasu began to inch towards her attackers. Her blades had decreased in speed however owing to the reduction in opponents. The Shi'ido could easily overcome these two thugs, now extending her blades forward to catch one of the blasters. The weapon dropped to the floor, now a sizzling mess as Rasu sent a surge of Force energy hurtling at her attackers. Both men were flung off their feet, crashing into several crates with a sickening crunch.

Normally when someone met Nauren, they were meeting a carefree kid looking for artifacts and books he could sell to people to make himself a bit of cash. He was someone they looked at and saw in the kid a quick mind on with the spirit of a child at times. This was ever the truth with the current moment as he smiled and taunted the two injured and the one who looked at him like he had his head screwed on backwards considering that he had taken to sitting down on the crate infront of the men, one of his sabers off while he held it in his hand and his chin against it, the other humming with that same grey color to it, crashing over the crates and his own body in its muted glow.

Seeing as he had to deal with two injured ones, it would be a quick work when it came to dispatching them but the last one had decided he didn't enjoy Nauren's demeanor, drawing a vibroblade he had on hand. For some reason the galaxy had been learning to combat those with lightsabers, likely due to the frequency of their presence at this point and of course those who were gutsy enough to take them on, to do so well prepared.

"Let us play a game." He said before deactivating his sabers and letting them slide back into his sleeves where they would catch their hooks. With the blasters gone, and him having two disabled foes to deal with, he was not in the mood to keep out his blades when he could just use the force if he needed to. Granted there was still that last one with the blade, but the other two seemed to want to get to him first with how they were moving.

He pushed off the crates with a smile and his hands shifted up and into a ready stance, front hand opened up and his second held close to his chest while he waited for them to take their chance. The wait wasn't long though as the first man tried to simply bull rush him, leaving him to quickly bound back and up, adding a bit of push through the force to get him onto the crates before jumping forward and onto his back before he was sent crashing into the very same crates, dispatching himself while the second was a bit more cautious when it came to rushing.

Of course though he did as he through a wide punch, wind up and all, at Nauren. He was generally pretty bad when it came to hand to hand combat, more accustom to slugging matches that he would easily lose thanks to the fact that he was normally half the size or even three times less the size of the opponent, but that was why he smiled as the fist caught him in the jaw. He could taste blood, no loose teeth though and his smile against the fist appeared when a small line of blood found its way to his lip. Definitely cut up the inside of his cheek on his own teeth. The return for the man's punch was a shot towards the lower half, bringing his knee right into it before slamming his right hand from his chest towards the man's own face and then for good measure once he found the pain to his lower regions taking effect, a quick jump and kick from Nauren would send him to the ground.

It was the last one he sighed about and let a saber drop to his hand, watching the man. But, soon his eyes went elsewhere, specifically to a fire suppression system nearby which his hand twitched towards and the nozzle went off, spraying the area with foam and almost as a reflex his eyes closed, the force taking over his sight. What happened next barely took more than a second, the sound of his saber cutting out twice before being deactivated, the man screaming before trying to grab at his hands, both gone and on the ground with Nauren looking up at the former aggressor.

"Are we done here." He asked, looking at the man who tripped backwards and made Nauren sigh. His chest was tight, breathing heavy and he certainly could taste the iron from his blood that filled his mouth. His muscles felt wrong too, specifically his left thigh. He probably put too much energy through it when he jumped earlier. His vision was dizzy, and far mor blurry than usual, the quick bursts of energy were taking their toll and Nauren knew that. Three men and he felt like he would fall forward if he tried to exert himself. Thank the heavens the green woman had been here, and wounded two of the men.

Speaking of which, his eyes moved to try and find her through the foam and spray that had gone off from the suppression system, hoping she was ok. His saber having already been deactivated and returned to his sleeve.

Checking the two unconscious men, Rasu knelt beside their bodies, sensing both had maintained their pulse. She had not intended to kill as these were mere thugs. Perhaps this beating would be a lesson and the pair could seek a different path. However Rasu's conscience remained clear of any guilt. The men would live. Satisfied, the woman rose from her position, gripping her sabers once more in preparation to deal with the other three that faced the young man.

However Rasu was halted by the sound of a siren before she found herself covered head to toe in foam. The woman stood frozen for a few moments, confusion and annoyance now clouding her mind. Obviously this had something to do with the other fight however a ear-piercing scream signaled the end of the brawl. Coming to her senses, the woman ran to the young man's aid, foam flying off her form in chunks. However it appeared the man needed no assistance. While he too was covered in foam, already dark red patches began to seep through, stained by the blood dripping from his face.

"Where are you hurt?" she asked, already noticing the weakened state of the rogue. He appeared to be off-balance, stumbling and swaying as he stood among the foam. Clasping his arm before he fell, Rasu lowered him to the floor before clearing away the debris along his body with the Force. She was no healer, but there was sure to be something she could do to aid the young man.

He blinked as the woman appeared through the foam, in an instant moving to clasp him still as he didn't realize just how badly he had been swaying from overdoing it with the force. In fact, he could barely even see straight, which was saying something considering her was already half blind as a bat thanks to his parentage. Either way, he was dizzy and if she hadn't helped him down, he probably would have come down on his face in another few moments, causing him to shake his head when she inquired about injuries.

"Most of the blood is theirs, I think. One landed a pretty good punch on my face, though, cut up my cheek on the inside of my teeth which is where the majority of my blood is coming from. Might haveknicked one of my arms too on the one's blade when I got it out of his hands. Darned things cut just as well as a saber." He tried to laugh a bit to get his mind off the thing before trying to push himself back up.

"Honestly, I'm fine, thanks for the help but I think I can handle getting out of here."He was still dizzy, even shaking as he tried to sit up much less stand. It was clear he was lying out of his own teeth so the woman would get out of here and stop putting herself in the same place as him considering the commotion caused. Granted he knew that the Jedi would probably try to continue helping him and as much as it annoyed him he knew it would happen. A Jedi was a Jedi and they enjoyed helping others out for some insane reason.

Probably just feels good for them, their only way to get joy out of their boring lives.
