Jedi Valkyrie
Even now that time had passed, walking up the main steps of the Jedi Temple sent a bit of a chill down Katherine’s back. She had been there when the Dark Empire attacked Coruscant, defending the Temple from intrusions. But the Valkyrie had underestimated her opponent that day, which allowed the enemy to capture her.
Then came the torture, broken bones and Force Lightning. It felt like it had lasted an eternity, right up until she was finally rescued. But that had only been the beginning of a long, painful journey for Katherine.
A Padawan fell that day, but a Knight rose from its ashes.
Now it was Katherine’s mission to ensure no other Padawan made the same mistake she had. Didn’t matter if it was one of her own, or just any Padawan that stepped through the doors of a Jedi temple or enclave.
It was the reason for her visit to Coruscant, wanting to gauge the overall situation with the current lot of Padawans. Whether she’d find one to take under her literal wings, or to just help a young student in need.
What Katherine hadn’t anticipated, was literally walking right into one.
The Valkyrie was lost in her own thoughts, her gaze staring off into seemingly nothing as she walked through the Temple hallways. Despite the physical changes she had gone through, Katherine still maintained old habits. Only nowadays it was impossible to miss the towering Jedi Knight as she moved.
Unless it seemed, the other person was also lost in thought at that same moment.
“Oh! I am so sorry, I was not paying attention.” Katherine said, looking down to see a bob of red hair, a shade darker than her own.
