Private A Helping Hand (Draven and Tiland)

Draven had borrowed a ride off of Kashyyyk late one evening. In the moment a calling was heard to him. Draven did not often get callings through the force. In fact this was his first instance it directed him on a path. Well, at least that he could recall. Draven had been isolated and withdrawn for awhile. At least in his early years of youth. Though when the order of the silver jedi took him under their wings. He began to slowly open up and flourish. In fact in a bit of time. Draven even would be going on an expedition with a group of Padawan within the order to collect crystals.

Though for now Draven was enroute towards the outer rim. Particularly he found himself set en route towards Kathol. Going towards the northern region where the ruins of a capital city remained. Once the transport found a place. Draven could disembark at. He got down onto the ground and began to roam through the ruins. Checking off landmarks and doing his best to focus on the tug.

Eventually, he found his way into a smaller building. Well what he assumed what had once been. Then looked for a clearing. Where he removed his black satchel and set it down. He was dressed in a brown robe this evening and tan pants. Putting the hood down. Dravenclosed his eyes and knelt. Then began to slowly let his consciousness slip into feeling the flow of the force throughout the world around him. Draven found himself in this state for awhile. Before finally finding a point the force seemed to center upon. Which was enough to cause Draven to recall his mind. Stand up and begin to seek out to what or whom the force was trying to draw him to.

Ah, it was good to be back in Kathol. It had been a long time he had joined the Kathol Outback and eventual Kathol Republic in an expedition into the nebulae to learn from the Aang-Tii, but he spoke no word of such thing to anyone, or ever gave any hint of what he had learned. Some abilities were too powerful, too dangerous, and too tempting to be spread carefully, though there were those who would kill for such abilities.

He wandered now among the ancient capital of the Precursor Cthol, seeking some indication of them and their legacy, or perhaps something else. Tiland was not entirely sure. But he felt a presence not too far away, one of a young Jedi, unless he missed his guess. That was unusual for Kathol. Even with it being the Kathol Republic and once capital of what would become The Kathol Outback and the Outer Rim Coalition, Jedi were still rare this far out. Even between the Pilgrims and the Light Hand, he didn't think there was more than a few dozen Jedi covering the entire Outer Rim, excepting those from other orders.

Tiland picked his way through the ruins, using his staff to balance himself on the tumbled and crushed rock as he wound his way through the rubble. "Hello!" He called out, voice echoing between the buildings. "Are you looking for something?"

Draven reached out and touched the walls of one of the ruins. Noting how organic the structure turned out to be. He was careful not to damage it any further than the hands of time managed to do. He wasn't here to harm the structures though he did find them fascinating. Draven was not as well versed in the historical tales of Kathol. Though it wasn't any indication he was against learning what tales the land had to tell him.

It was undeniable somebody had made these lands their home once. Though what had happened to them? What were they like when they lived? What would they say to newcomers? If they even would of accepted pilgrims and other travelers into their lands of course. Draven's mind began to wander along his path. Sure he still remained aware of where the energies drifted and alert enough to sense danger. Though lands often had tales to tell and it didn't take but a moment of listening to begin to pick up the faint whispers.

Draven was also trying to divert his focus away from a headache that was starting. He was prone to these from time to time. At worst they were blinding in their intensity. While noise of certain pitches and loudness seemed the most common trigger. It didn't mean the stray one did not form.

Suddenly his progression drew to a halt as a voice called out and echoed throughout the area. Draven unknowingly winced at the pound in his head. Though he took a breath and centred his thoughts. "Hello. I am not here with any harm intended. Though I am unsure the honest answer to if I am looking for Something. It could be a something, it could be a someone. I just am following a path which was laid before me, and seeing what the next step is from there." Was his response.

Draven was careful in his wording. He did not want to assume it was a Something he was being lead towards. He also did not want to assume the destination was an end. Sure it might resolve some matter, or it might prove to be the start of a journey. This was Draven's first adventure as well as the first time he just followed the force as it instructed him and the possibilities were endless. As quickly as it started his headache decided for the moment. That it was done being a bother. Which Draven was relieved for. It meant that he didn't have one of the harsher ones this time.

"My name is Draven Eterena. Might I inquire to whom I am answering?" Draven added on as a polite natured formality. Despite having yet seen the individual who called to him. Draven decided to begin reaching out with the force to sense his surroundings and see if he could locate the entity which called to him. As his consciousness slowly glided over the ruins around him.

Tiland quirked an eyebrow at the phrasing, formal and deliberate, but also unsure. That was certainly something, and one perhaps more unusual for these regions of space. They were out on the frontier now, far, far away from even the main regions of the Outer Rim. It was the remoteness, and the friends he had in the Kathol Republic, that drew him back here from time to time. And sometimes, he would seek out his old instructors among the Aang-Tii, but they were more aloof and hidden than had been the case before.

But he could sense this person clearly now. Draven Eterna. Not a name he was familiar with and by the voice, he was young, even for near-humans. He adjusted his course and slipped through a crack in a wall into the next street over. They were close now. He paused, tilted his head, and listened. The footsteps and echoes were just around a corner, so he turned it until he came up to the other.

Tiland smiled and gave a polite bow. "Jedi Master Tiland Kortun. Very nice to meet you, young Draven." He paused for a moment and tapped his chin. "If you are on a path to seek something, perhaps I can be of assistance."
