Quality - 5.5.
Special Features -

  • Resistant to most edged vibroweapons and slugthrowers, as well as ordinary blaster pistol fire.
  • Can be used as a short-duration vacuum suit.
  • Sealed against most chemical and biological hazards, and resistant to extreme heat and cold.
  • Provides excellent flexibility for the wearer.
  • Equipped with micro repulsorlifts which allow the wearer to survive long falls without injury, as well as skim along the ground.
  • Equipped with an inertial inhibitor, which eases movement and allows slightly faster reactions for the user.
  • Boots are equipped with electromagnets in the soles, allowing the wearer to walk on a metallic surface in zero gravity without drifting away.
  • Equipped with a sonic damper field emitter, allowing the wearer to move silently.
  • Helmet is equipped with a holographic imaging system which grants the wearer night vision, the ability to see through smoke, fog and fire, and the ability to see the electromagnetic spectrum. Also has electrobinocular functions and a directional audiofilament.
  • Communications provided via a built-in encrypted comlink, or by a suit-to-suit comm laser system.
  • Equipped with a utility belt, containing the necessary equipment for most missions.
Description -
The A-GP-001 Liner Coat is the standard type of body armor used by the Empire of the Line's marine corps. Developed for commando-style operations, the armor was engineered to offer protection and enhanced capabilities to the Line's troops, while retaining the necessary mobility used in their tactics. It is made almost entirely out of flexible materials, making it far less cumbersome than many other types of body armor, and unlike more rigid plate-style armor, it can be adjusted to fit almost any species and body type.

The Liner Coat consists of a blended spun-plast and callacord weave coat and trousers, worn over a vacuum-rated durafiber body glove and sealed with a bronzium helmet. The body-glove and helmet are environmentally sealed, protecting the user from most chemical and biological hazards. It can regulate the wearer's body temperature during periods of exertion, and can also protect them from extreme heat and cold.
Significantly, the Liner Coat can be used as a vacuum suit, equipped with a 30 minute built-in supply of atmosphere. The boots are equipped with magnetic soles, allowing the wearer to walk on the outside hull of a spacecraft or station; they also have a pair of low-power micro repulsors, which allow the wearer to jump from great heights without suffering injury, as well as allowing them to "skim" a centimeter or so off the ground for added mobility. The Coat is also equipped with an inertial inhibitor, which eases movement and allows the wearer to react slightly faster than normal. For stealth, it is equipped with a sonic damper field emitter, allowing the wearer to move silently.
The Coat's helmet is equipped with a suite of high-resolution visual sensors feeding into a panoramic holographic display, which provides the wearer with top-notch 360 degree visibility, as well as a head-up display which can provide navigation, targeting, communication and mission data. The sensors are equipped with a number of filters, allowing the wearer to see through smoke, fire and darkness; they can also visualize the electromagnetic spectrum, allowing the wearer to track power emissions and communication beams. The helmet is also equipped with electrobinocular functions, including long-range zoom and image enhancement, a rangefinder and a radiation meter. Finally, the helmet is equipped with a directional audiofilament, allowing the wearer to listen in on and record distant conversations and other sounds.
Communication is provided via a built-in encrypted comlink, using a rotating frequency code system developed by the Line to prevent eavesdropping. In jamming-heavy environments, a suit-to-suit comm laser can be employed.
As an added bonus, the helmet's holographic display automatically overlays the face of anyone wearing a Liner Coat into its rendering, allowing members of a team to recognize one-another by sight and preventing enemies from using a stolen uniform as a disguise.
The Coat is also equipped with a utility belt as standard equipment, which contains four spare power packs, two thermal detonators, two medpacs, water and ration bars, four luma flares, two grappling hooks, two pairs of stun cuffs, a glowrod, a tube of stimpills, a roll of matte black space tape, detonite and remote detonators, a reusable computer spike, a combat vibroknife and a holdout blaster.

The Liner Coat provides adequate protection against most battlefield hazards the wearer is likely to encounter. Designed in particular for close combat in urban environments and aboard starships, its blended-fiber coat, boots and trousers can turn most vibroblades and slugthrower projectiles, and can protect the wearer against a point-blank shot from a common blaster pistol. It is less effective at blocking more powerful weapons, such as heavy pistols and rifles, but can dissipate at least part of their energy and reduce the severity of otherwise life-threatening wounds.

Overall, the Liner Coat is a decent piece of equipment, providing its wearer with a good amount of protection and a great deal of flexibility. It is hoped that it will serve the Empire of the Line well in its future conquests.

No, you must have a company capable of producing a product on a mass scale. A faction is not able to produce products on their own.

I'm actually in the process of making a company to produce this and other equipment. I had intended to do this already, as part of the story I have planned for my character.
It shouldn't take long, but if you'd like to archive this in the meantime, that would be fine.
