A Gathering of Champions

The Jedi Order was not what it once was. Not the fabled Orders of old, from the Old Republic millennia ago. No. Now the Jedi religion was scattered across the galaxy,under several different banners. And taking a position to help safeguard the Jedi Praxeum? That put Coren Starchaser in a strange position. Working with the staff that had been there when [member="Ember Farseer"] was in charge of the Praxeum, it made Coren much more the guardian of the Praxeum, making sure they kept themselves out of the conflict, allowing Jedi to learn at the Prax.

Coren was a member of the New Jedi Order, one of the Eclipsed, helping to lead the strikes from Underground, and the Shattered Jedi. This was another splinter group, focused on combating the dark side. But he was re to be the one that would grab attention and drive the dark side off. He had others that would help, members of the NJO, like [member="Oros"] and [member="Cambria Zadira"] were here, at the Prax from time to time, and assisted him.

But no warrior was capable of doing what they did without instruments of war. Maybe not always the Jedi way, Coren had others who could lead the Jedi through the darkness, like Arcanus, if only he could fight it back. However, he knew that there were others who he needed to be in touch with. The Silvers had a number of Jedi he knew would be interested in what he had to say. But first, he had sent a message out to the source of the new warships and Jedi material: [member="Veiere Arenais"]

“Your presence is requested on Eira Pechel. Jedi Starchaser would like your assistance.”

The King of Commenor would be granted a landing rights and as the Jedi General was alerted, be guided into a small room overlooking the main atrium of the Praxeum. Starchaser would be there, a black cloak hiding a spacer garb, something the Prax was used to seeing. Refreshments were provided and Coren was awaiting the other Champion of the Light.

“Your presence is requested on Eira Pechel.
Jedi Starchaser would like your assistance.”
Veiere Arenais sat within his personal quarters aboard the Kingsguard as his personal staff piloted the vessel through hyperspace, en-route to the world of Eira Pechel. He knew the name 'Starchaser' from the old days of the Galactic Alliance's Jedi Order, having met with many Jedi from all over the Galaxy and heard of countless others, especially those with the reputation the likes of Coren's. His request to speak with Veiere came with a mixture of feelings, anxiety and expectation mostly, for despite Veiere's three decades of service to the Jedi, the Force and to the Galaxy, his far more recent past clouded everything.

"Five mikes out".

The intercom beside the entrance to his quarters blared with the voice of his crewman, Veiere's gaze lifting briefly in response. Their leave of Hyperspace would soon herald their arrival to the new World, one he'd not visited before, and one that would see Veiere being drawn back into the politics of the Jedi Order of today. Not the same Order that Veiere grew up in; one that was splintered across the Galaxy and made up of numerous different branches with varying ideals, yet all fighting for the betterment of galactic society and within the faith of the light...

That life seemed to far gone. Distant from the realities of Veiere's present day life on Commenor. Once upon a time, he had been a Jedi Master, a warden and even Grandmaster for a time. His faith in the Force remained, even today, yet his place among the Jedi...-That was another story entirely. A story of failures, regrets, loss, murder and defeat at his own hands. In a time of weakness, the Dark side of the Force had taken him and it was in those days that Veiere lost all integrity and respect for himself.

Coren's curiosity towards the new Fleet wasn't misplaced...-For the former Jedi Master had removed all remaining sign and evidence that a Dark Jedi Order had ever existed, instead turning all assets over to the Jedi Academy Network, one that would allow not only the Jedi Praxeum to make use of the fleet, but so too the Silver Jedi Order and all others who followed the Jedi Path. It was something he had felt he needed to do, to at-least try to bring something good out of so much wrong doing in the past years.

"This is the KingsGuard of Commenor to Traffic Control. Requesting instruction and rendezvous with Master Jedi, Coren Starchaser of the Jedi Order".
The two Pilots at the head of the KingsGuard had began preparations for their descent and eventual landing by the time Veiere Arenais had reached the Cockpit; he wore not the fine garments of a King like one would expect but rather the humbling attire of his days in Exile. The garb mimicking the known traditional apparel of the old times, the robes that he and his Master before him had adorned during their history of service and training together. It only seemed right that he would come to this meeting, not as a politician but a former associate of the Jedi, and man of the faith in the path they once shared.

It would not be long now before they would reach the surface of Eira Pechel, and Veiere learn whether or not this meeting was of a positive nature, or otherwise demanding his repentance for his past sins.

Summoning a King by request, that was not something Coren was known to do. Even as one of the Grand(er) Marshals of the New Jedi Order, he didn’t create summons, he went after who he was looking for to have a discussion, but now things were changing. Without a real central government structure, the AiE was a lot more paramilitary group who was destined to help the light side, and the forces working to keep the Sith at bay. A bit extreme, he knew, but still, useful.

And a way to move Jedi from place to place, between trips to the Praxeum or their various orders. Or moving other supporters to help set up cells to restore the galaxy to its glory and freedom. Fascism and dictatorships were not what the galaxy needed to thrive. The Alliance, and the government it protected was. But the man out of time that was Starchaser was doing his best to keep the Jedi gathered. And working with the Shattered provided him some solace, knowing there were others out there who were keeping the war effort moving, but even the Shattered needed to go to ground.

And he and a few others found themselves at the Praxeum.

Having heard that King T’Challa Arenais had arrived, he grinned. Finally. He had sent two of the Jedi Sentinels to retrieve the King and his guard. He knew he had nothing to fear from the other. They had similar backgrounds, both had seen the light and the darkness. The Sentinels would greet the King and lead him and the guards up to the room. Coren didn’t want to draw any unnecessary attention to Arenais and walking out on the main landing deck would do that. However, when the King entered the room he had set aside, overlooking the main courtyard, he’d turn with a grin.

“Welcome to Eira Pechel, King Arenais.”

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

When the welcoming party arrived to meet Veiere at the end of the landing ramp to his ship, he could not help but feel gladdened to see the sight of two Jedi, they of whom bowed in greeting and would receive the very same formal acknowledgement in return, giving the former Master a taste of his old life and no doubt there still plenty nostalgia to come.

Despite having received the invitation, not knowing it's true purpose, Veiere had chosen to neglect the company of his Sovereign-Guard, much to the dismay of his advisers back home upon Commenor. While they had been useful during the liberation of his home-world, they had also been brought into his employ under the ever-clouding Dark-Side of the force, when it had influenced him above all else. They remained a reminder of his past mistakes, and the impression that they fed to others was something not of a Jedi's preference nor approval.

Following the small entourage towards where [member="Coren Starchaser"] would apparently be expecting to meet with him, Veiere took the time to look about the new world that he had arrived on. The air there was fresh and the skies overhead vibrant compared to the transit between worlds, a vast improvement from being cooped up within the KingsGuard like a wamprat in a cage....-Well, perhaps it was a little more luxurious than that, yet still Veiere was so ever fond of the natural worlds he visited and the way the Force flowed in it's natural state, harmonious and free.

When Veiere entered the room, he did so alone while the two Jedi Sentinels remained outside. Though he was a King back home on Commenor, he had never had much liking for such titles, ever so privileged and feeling as though he were arrogant every time he was reminded of his position, Veiere simply lifted a hand in gentle dismissal, "Please, call me Veiere...-I never much cared for titles outside of the Order" he then smiled apologetically dipping his head with respect; "It's good to finally meet you Master Starchaser. Yours is a name that's often come to my attention over the years...-A renowned Jedi Master of the Galactic Alliance".

"Naturally I'm curious" He added, his attention clearly piqued by all of this; "What can I do for you?".

It was a matter of protection for the King and for Starchaser himself. He knew he was a high value target for the Sith Empire, maybe the First Order if they were paying attention, and there was a bit of paranoia in the man, after Taeli Raaf’s betrayal. And the loss of Romi Jade to the dark side, it all rang true and had him nervous. On Eira he doubted it would be a factor, but with the two together, it was one of those things that he was instituting, not keeping too many Masters at one place. And why he kept himself away from the Praxeum as much as possible.

He was part of the Praxeum but he was also part of the Shattered Jedi, and the two orders didn’t blend well, but he knew that they needed to work together. The Shattered Jedi would take the brunt of any attack that came for the praxeum, keeping the students safe. This was a point of much discussion and arguments with [member="Arcanus Sunstrider"]. But Coren was finding his own balance, he just hoped the other Jedi would understand.

On his feet, Coren nodded. Feeling a bit too Jedi-y here, but at the Praxeum? It was kind of expected. “Of course, Veiere.” Coren did hate ceremony, after all. Probably why he was one of the worst Jedi. “Title just make it better for ceremony, but that’s not why we’re here, is it?” He nodded, agreeing with the King. “Sadly, we’re living in a post-Alliance galaxy. But its where my goals and focus stem from. And even with the events of the Sith, the remnants of the New Jedi Order are working to repair our standing with the Alliance-in-Exile. I believe some of them had made it out to Commenor, recently.” Still he was not here for that.

“Please, sit.” He motioned for the table, and the small wetbar that was set up. Already a cocktail made, just Corellian firebrandy on ice, Coren grabbed his own drink. “I’ve been in the loop with procurement here at the Praxeum, and in the greater Academy Network, been seeing a lot of deliveries, a lot coming from you. Don’t you have your own Jedi to supply?” He knew the stories, knew the past, but he wanted to confirm a few things.

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

"Not in a very long time, I'm afraid" Veiere replied to [member="Coren Starchaser"]'s question as to the possible Jedi under his care or guidance. He took the seat offered, as well as the drink and nodded to the man with appreciation. Taking a brief moment to consider how to express his current status where the Jedi were concerned, so much time had passed and yet it was still a deep wound festering guilt and regret within him. "The irony of things doesn't escape me" He commented, perhaps more to himself than to Coren; "Had [member="Darth Carnifex"] not invaded and occupied Commenor, I might never have left my Exile nor had the opportunity to take back the mantle of King over my home-world" he smiled faintly, turning his attention to his drink momentarily for distraction.

"Speaking truthfully, sometimes I wonder if people have forgotten what I did back on Deneba, or the incident that saw the Dark Jedi threatening my very Capital demanding my release. A day my own wife was forced to arrest me under crimes of treason...-We did what we could to keep Commenor out of it, but during those days the Enclave was under CSA territory. Perhaps they're afraid to bring it up", this was the first time Veiere had spoken so openly about the past to anyone outside of his wife, [member="Lady Kay"]. The Galaxy may have moved on, but every night still plagued Veiere with the memories of his actions, and the pleas of the Jedi he had cut down within the Enclave.

"My ambitions were strong, and my failure was hard felt. Years of resentment and complacency I seemed to witness from the Jedi in the Galaxy, fueled my emotions and twisted me up. Everything that I had created, I tore down because my expectations were too high. The Dark Side of the Force found me, and I let it consume me" admitting such a thing to another Jedi, especially one that he knew by such a reputation alone...-It wasn't easy. "The assets I've committed to the Jedi Academy Network, are the former weapons and tools for War that I had previously dedicated to the Dark Jedi Order. As well as the Temple on Rannon that has been cleansed of any residual Dark Side presence...-I did this hoping that perhaps something good could come out of so much darkness, so many mistakes".

"These days, I leave the fate of the Galaxy in the hands of better Men and Women. My life as a Jedi ended the day I walked away from Deneba".

Not for a while… Coren knew the man’s history. It wasn’t hard to read the HoloNews and especially for someone who had a bit of importance, to put it lightly. “They’ll come back. Everything comes around, for better or worse. And yeah, that happens. I had vanished from the galactic stage for a bit, but Omai Rhen had contacted me, and Nemo Ven sent a military team to pull me back in. There were concerns of the next stage in the Alliance, and with the death of the former, I don’t know how the Alliance would have faired without someone at the helm when Raaf performed her act.” He took a second, remembering those who were lost. “But something needs to shake us out of hiding.”

“I mean, no one is perfect. Some people have lapses. I was an Chiss-Imperial enforcer, working for an offshoot of the Sith.” He knew he had to share his story, especially when he was around some of the students. They needed to know that they could make mistakes, but some… some were heavy. Did Veiere hurt people? Yes, but the galaxy could come back, and in the Unifying Force and Living Force, there was always a solution for everything, and the right people would all serve their purpose.

The Dark Side was the pathway that some people suspected would hold the answers to some. Coren knew the feeling. He was a warrior, a defender of the light, and it put him in direct contest with many of the Jedi. “They’ll be used to help those that need it. The Jedi will be using them to the best of our abilities.” He looked at his drink.

“Just going to keep away from the Jedi? What if we need you?"

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

Just going to keep away from the Jedi? What if we need you?"
It was a fair and reasonable question, one that might have crossed Veiere's mind had he thought that the Jedi would ever trust in him again...-Or at-least enough so to need him. His dedicating said resources to their Organization was Veiere's way of contributing and trying to support them, but when Coren asked if he planned to keep his distance, it actually surprised him a little.

"I've never turned away those in need before..." Veiere answered, though it wasn't truly an answer to what Coren was asking of him. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not normally the bleeding heart sort, I certainly don't enjoy making a spectacle of myself but with the things I've done, is it even a possibility to return to the Order again?" Veiere knew the code and what it encouraged for the Jedi, forgiveness and second chances, any possible outcome that would bring another closer into the light ought to be one to take a hold of with both hands, but putting what they preached into practice to such an extent was incredibly rare. Veiere couldn't recall a time where he had succeeded in persuading someone of the Darkside of the Force to turn to the Light...

Then again, Veiere was no longer so heavily influenced by the Darkside and this had been proven when he had used Force Light against Carnifex in a desperate attempt to avoid being executed while his world burned ahead of them. "If that was the case, if the Jedi were to ask me to rejoin the Order...-I wouldn't turn it down. I suppose that I would hope that it might enable me to somehow make up for the things I've done...".

[member="Coren Starchaser"]

The Force called people from all walks and paths to where they needed to be. Coren believed that wholeheartedly. It started decades before, when he was thrown in carbonite for 20 years. The man had found out the Sith were using him, had corrupted him, and that the targets he had gone after were not tactical for a protection, they were designed to send messages to keep systems in line. It was a terror ploy, and he was the shock trooper. Finding that out did bring him to the Sith, and confronted those who were on Csillia, the warlords who followed the path similar to the Sith Empire of the current era, the One Sith of Skywalker’s time.

And then the Force had spoken to him, or the Sith, but someone had said it wasn’t his time, that wasn’t his fight. And the next he knew, he was working for the Lords of the Fringe, realizing the Sith had turned the galaxy’s axis. “Can’t turn away those who need it? That sounds like an attempt to put things right. And the Order isn’t what it once was. The Jedi aren’t what they once were, but the variety in the galaxy? We have more similarities than differences. Working within the light should be something to strive for, not a definition of if one group, or another, would take you in.

“Do some research on my name sometime, some… nearly 25 years ago? Then get back to me of if you think you’d be worthy to come back to the Light and the Jedi. And take a look at the galaxy now, the Sith Empire, the First Order. We need those who are ready and able to take a stand. Past differences be damned.”

The Jedi were growing by the day, his informants were showing him where new groups were popping up, and they all called back to the ideals of old. Soon they would have to make a stand, but he needed the right players on the field.

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

"I have been trying to make up for the past, though I've also sought not to make a spectacle of myself. As soon as people see or hear of someone trying to do such things, they tend to doubt the integrity behind their actions" Veiere replied to [member="Coren Starchaser"]'s initial statement. The man's dreams were the stuff of nightmares, all the guilt of his past actions weighing heavily upon him, a burden he would carry forever more, as far as Veiere knew.

"Still...-I've first hand experience with both the Sith Empire and the First Order. I had a contact within the Order of Ren, [member="Samka Derith"]...-Though I've not reached out to her in a very long time, nor heard anything of the Girl..." The Knights of Ren were extremely secretive and kept their business very close to heart. Despite the First Order's militant approach towards those whom opposed them, few knew the names of the Knights of Ren themselves, and even Veiere only knew of two of them. Samka and [member="Kyrel Ren"], if Kyrel even was his first name...

"I'm sure you've heard plenty, as far as the Sith Empire and Commenor's recent political relationship is concerned. The Emperor has forced us out of our supposed neutrality. It's sure to wake some snakes in the First Order sooner or later, as well...", he and [member="Lady Kay"] hadn't discussed the First Order all that much recently. They'd been a long standing ally of trade for Commenor dating back to before the Systems Alliance had come into form. Still, the First Order had been present when Veiere and his resistance had struck back against the Empire and retaken their World. It was always in the back of the King's mind, just what consequences or retaliatory action would be taken by the First Order for the threatening of their own people, and the disruption of their embassy on Commenor.

"I'll look into your past if you'd encourage me, though I'm in no place to be playing the Judge. I don't need to see whatever skeletons you may have hidden in your closet, to know where there's a good cause to be found. I'm curious however....-What would you have me do, exactly?".

“Sometimes people have doubts, but its like hope, you can’t trust what you see or hear sometimes. You just need to know. And with making amends? It is a huge area of concern. Luckily for me, my issues were concerned in a very small region of the Unknown.” And that meant when he moved away from that and stepped closer to the core, no one knew what he had done, and what he had done to repair the damage. Thankfully, the Lords of the Fringe were a unique group who worked on both sides of the fence and assisting those he wronged, was a bit easier.

“The Sith are a common enemy, and the First Order, well, they were a foe to the Alliance for years, and the Ren, they’re a group I just can’t seem to crack. Not that I need to, I know they show up, enforce their utopian fascist dogma on people, and need to be removed from the equation.” The Corellian shrugged. He was a warrior, and that meant following the paths he knew to be the right ones. Going after the dark side, allowing for freedom of choice and democracy to take over. It allowed a bit of chaos, but so long as the galaxy could make their own decisions? His work was amounting to something.

“The Alliance-in-Exile is always around to provide support to those who need it. Not as armed as we once were, but we know our place in the greater scheme of it all. And we can provide support.” Hit and runs, sure, but that didn’t matter. He looked at the King of Commenor for a second and nodded. Getting people to answer for their crimes was important, but this self-imposed exile? He wasn’t sure if much more could, or should be done. “Recruit, gather forces, spread the word. The galaxy is taking a dark turn, and I’m not sure its going to e easy to come back from.”

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

"I don't expect to lose the reputation, nor the scrutiny of other Jedi for the things that I have done" Veiere responded first to Coren's remark regarding making amends for the past, "I cannot stop others from judging me. What I did was horrible and will stick with me for the rest of my days, but where making amends comes into play, something that's occurred to me since your invitation is that I may be the one keeping myself from adhering to the call of the Force, for the fear and guilt that I harbor...-If that makes any sense to you?".

Being ostracized by the rest of the galaxy typically came with the territory of following the Jedi Path, those that did not understand the power of the Force, feared those that were able to use it, regardless of whether they were Sith or Jedi. The Order was there when times were rough, naturally, but in times of relative peace it was all too common for the public eye to scrutinize the Jedi Order for every little mistake or failure to live up to anything less than perfection.

"As far as recruitment is concerned, I can speak for the entirety of Commenor's military force when it comes down to the innocent being downtrodden. Despite our former neutral stance, that neutrality was built upon the premise of peace, and those who seek to disrupt and oppress the lives of society, the good fair and innocent people, I will do all that is in my power to raise a force to strike back against such foes..." but that was the fortunate gift that came with being a King over a World, a nation whose armies that would readily follow Veiere into battle if needs were dire. It wasn't something that the Jedi would necessarily approve of...The Jedi Code speaking against conflict by any means necessary unless in the pursuit of the defense of others, without any alternative. There were so many blurred lines being made in the Galaxy, that it wasn't something Veiere would take into action lightly.

"I'm not sure any Jedi would be willing to follow me ever again, however...-I'm not capable of raising a new branch of Jedi as I did over Yutan and Deneba".

[member="Coren Starchaser"]

The galaxy was calling to everyone. It was time to step up and put your best foot forward. It was something that Jorus Merrill and Omai Rhen had said to him, and what pulled him from being a warrior for a cause, into a leader of such. The former Grand Marshall, stepping into the role shared with Taeli Raaf after Omai’s passing didn’t mellow the Jedi, but gave him some more focus. “Sometimes we are our own worst enemies, my friend. But the Force knows what it requires to protect this galaxy.” And if one side, dark or light, had too many, it could spell disaster.

There were many ways to call oneself a Jedi, and you couldn’t make everyone happy. But that was not what it was about. Protection, knowledge, defense. At times they took different forms, regardless of what traditionalists thought. There were peoples across the galaxy who would rally to the Jedi’s call. And that was part of what kept Coren going. Was he a Paladin of an age passed?

If he was, this galaxy was well and truly lost.

“I don’t want to place the people of Commenor in the crosshairs. Its not what I called you here. But having a force to assist others? If people and ships volunteer. I do intend to form a coalition between the governments that will step up.” He had the Alliance in Exile at his back, and the Silver Jedi had signed on. It wasn’t going to be long before he knew something could happen. “We are looking for a team to defend. And if it comes to it, make a strike, but too long the Sith are moving unchecked.”

“And do not worry. If you find those who are looking for the Jedi… I’ve got a map for you. It’ll bring you into my underground network around Commenor.” He was really thinking of everything.

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

"You've got my full support" Veiere confirmed, though he would need to inform [member="Lady Kay"] of his decision, his wife had always known that his path had been with the Jedi. She had often told him this when his days seemed darkest. "Though I am curious about this 'network' of yours. You said it's near Commenor?" he soon asked, wondering if perhaps he had heard of it already. It was difficult to believe that the Jedi could have set up right under their noses without Veiere's picking up on it. They had a Jedi Temple now upon the World, though that seemed solitary and peaceful, nothing like the busied coming and going of people that Coren's choice of words had suggested.

"If it's alright, I'll take whatever intelligence you have on the state of the Jedi these days, I'm afraid I've been somewhat out of touch and aside from knowing about the Jedi Praxeum and the Jedi Academy Network, outside of the Silver Jedi Order, I don't hold any details that would allow me to rendezvous with any of them..." The Silver's were arguably the easiest to get a hold of, not for their largely political and militant climate but rather the fact that his Son [member="Caedyn Arenais"] was dating one of them, the young [member="Asaraa Vaashe"].

"I also have an Apprentice who could make use of further experience among fellow Jedi...-There's only so much that I can teach her, where as I'd like her to gain numerous perspectives that she might form her own mind off of them" [member="Loreena Arenais"] hadn't joined him for this venture purely out of Veiere's lack of knowing what to expect from the meeting, still, his daughter could likely benefit from the connection yet.

[member="Coren Starchaser"]

Having the support of someone like [member="Veiere Arenais"] was important. Not because of his role within the Commenor monarchy, but because of what he represented. Someone who had seen both sides, had been on both sides. Fallen and returned. The capital he had, and the resources, yes, those were important. Starchaser was back to doing what he did best, fighting a war of attrition, and guerilla combat. He had his battlegroup, and the rest of the Alliance was around, but it was more like the underground. Waiting for the time to establish the proper government, the one that would allow him the peace of mind to defend worlds. And change the galaxy.

“Only near Commenor in the mobile sense. An underground network of rebels and Jedi. The type who know the galaxy is in a dark place, and are working day in and out to help relieve the pressure. Assist those who need it, and bring light to the darkest corners of this galaxy.” He grinned. “From freighter pilots, to cells on corvettes, we’ve got people who are waiting to be lead. And they are rallying behind the Jedi.”

Maybe it wasn’t the point of the Jedi to lead, but wasn’t it also counter to the Jedi’s mission to allow darkness to sway the galaxy? To rest its control? [member="Darth Carnifex"] was a cause of greater concern. “Right now, they’re helping move Jedi, the ones that are without a nation. I’ve got connections in many groups that are pro-Jedi, still.” He nodded.

“We’ve got Jedi from all walks, and the Praxeum is under the protection of the Shattered… the New Jedi Order’s remnants. But the Order isn’t enforcing their rhetoric. We can definitely offer her a place to learn.”

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

[member="Loreena Arenais"] was a good student, though that also came with some partial bias for her as her Master was literally, also her Father. Knowing her history however, he didn't expect that she'd do well situated in any one place and Veiere still held every intention on completing her training.

"We would be honored to visit and spend time with your Order, of course...-Though her place is, for the time being, best at my side that I can nurture her into a greater Jedi Knight than I ever was. I've had several students in the past, but none of them requiring my particular guidance so much as my daughter does now, after all that happened to her Home-World. Given she's also been trained by the Mandalorian Empire, I don't believe that life within an enclave or temple would suit her nearly as much as being by my side as Commenor rebuilds and we seek other opportunities to help aid the Jedi, now that you've given me this chance".

Commenor's connections with neighboring powers being what they were, Veiere still had strong contacts within the Silver Jedi Order as well as Caedyn's Je'daii Order (Though they themselves had fallen on hard times). It would be interesting to see what could be done to help encourage and strengthen the beacon of light in the Galaxy, one coveted in darkness and war. Unfortunately, his was a face easily recognized in the Galaxy, thanks to his political position residing over Commenor alongside his wife. It made subtlety nigh impossible across most world's connected to the Core and Holo-net Capable. The Outer-Rim World's weren't always so, but finding one that wouldn't carry said risks were few and far between.

"The Jedi Temple on Commenor is mostly quiet. Few come and go, but there doesn't seem to be any full-time residents there. If there are Jedi out there seeking shelter and peace for a time, or wish to study and learn beyond the reach of the Sith and the First Order, I can offer them sanctuary there. All Jedi Personnel will be allowed to come and go as they see fit...-However, being able to identify their vessels would be easier, to ensure they're not pulled aside, suspected of being a risk to the people. We've set up a new intelligence operation that rarely spare newcomers from being investigated. If we could organize some form of special transponder codes for Jedi frigates and so on, I can ensure they be given access without customs intervention".

[member="Coren Starchaser"]

To say there was excitement in his mind, he wouldn’t be lying. Having another Jedi stepping back in, and one who was as esteemed as Veiere was. Starchaser knew his role was to help adjust the Jedi and work as best he could to unite the light and push the goals of those who represented it to a singular path. Starchaser listened to the King and nodded. “I understand that. My two children grew up while I was locked in a cryo state, hidden in the Unknown Regions, in one version of the Chiss Ascendancy or another.”

“Its definitely good to have a helping hand, but you need to know when they are ready. I’m not sure I’d have been able to do that. But as you mention, children can be better than their parents. Kaia and I have had this discussion and she was overcorrecting to save when I was… trapped.” He nodded. “And having a training past that includes the Mandalorians? That’s something else, isn’t it?” The Jedi nodded. “There are more way to be a Jedi than to be diving into a war. Helping direct the galaxy and even a small cross section? It helps.”

Getting the light side gathered, and focused was what this galaxy needed. Even without a war machine, the light could outside the darkness. And it was true, perhaps it created darkness but sometimes hope could be lasting. And that was what Coren was hoping for.

“We have the Jedi Academy Network. I know we’ve got a variety of Jedi groups. A few corvettes, frigates, even cruisers depending on the group’s size. I have been doing my best to get them together. Silvers and Coalition in the Outer Rim are helping out as well, providing homes. And I’m bringing in certain Jedi to the Alliance and old Underground networks. For missions and protection… If Commenor needs anything, we can bring them all together.”

"The Silver Jedi Order would be a considerable asset to have on board, perhaps the largest representation of the old Jedi across the Galaxy today. I haven't had a great deal of experience with the Outer-Rim Coalition, however I've heard good things, that they are mostly genuine in their want to protect the people of their corner of the Galaxy" Veiere replied, smiling a little as they discussed the growing ambition of [member="Coren Starchaser"]'s. Since the beginning of their meeting, Veiere was feeling considerably more confident in the future, both his own and the fate of the Jedi Order. Coren was a man of considerable reputation, and perhaps he was exactly what the Jedi required to come together and work as a collective.

Veiere had a deal of experience in fighting for such a goal in the past, known for calling together three different Conclaves and being a part of the last Jedi Moot that had involved the New Jedi Order of the Galactic Alliance, the Silver Jedi Order and the Jedi Order of Deneba long back when he stood as Grandmaster of his organization, he knew to expect all of this to be hard fought, if at all successful. There were some Jedi out there that he had crossed wires with, having been a former advocate for the old way of training and running an Enclave or Temple, he hadn't been humble enough for them not to see reason in arguing against him at every turn. Despite this however, experience carried knowledge and learning for times ahead such as this, was something to be thankful for.

"[member="Lady Kay"] will no doubt appreciate any support the Jedi would offer, and vice versa, we would seek to support any of those good people out there in the Galaxy to the best of our ability" He spoke up once more. His Wife didn't have a great deal of experience with the Jedi, something that most likely seemed unusual given the Man that she had married, Veiere's entire life spent training and working as a member of the Order, save for several years that he had taken away from the path in order to promote Commenor's best interests; "Is there anything you would ask of me on my return home?".
