A friendly duel between HoloNet friends [Krest ~(*-*~) (~*-*)~]

The calm breeze was brushing against Hayato's face as he sat, legs crossed, on a small hill, meditating. The hill was right next to a small training ground, made of smooth stone slabs. This is the place where he would meet Krest, a Zabrak Templar Knight. He had never met Krest in person before, but had had HoloNet conversations with him. This was how he had found out about Krest being an aspiring Blademaster, just like him. Shortly after he had found out, he had proposed a friendly duel between him and Krest. Not to determine who was the better swordsman, but to improve their skills with the blade.

After a while Hayato spotted a speeder moving towards his location, most likely Krest. So he took the helmet that was lying next to him and put it on. It was part of his new Templar armor. It was kind of new to him, to wear a different thing than his usual attire, but he had worn it enough so as to not be completely unfamiliar with it. He moved down the hill and waited for the speeder, and hopefully Krest, to arrive.

Krest sped across the ground, pulling speeder up to the spot. With him he had the typical Templar armor, his blades, and his crossbow. He had every intention of a duel this day with another man who enjoyed the art of swords as much as him. He parked his speeder close by and stepped out, waving to @[member="Hayato"]. "Nice to see you in person finally. I assume you're ready?"

Ah, it was really Krest. He was finally able to see his friend in person and it was great, even though they would be fighting any minute now. He returned the wave and moved closer. ''It is indeed great to see you, friend. And I am already ready.'' He walked over to the other side of the training ground and bowed as a greeting. When he was done he took his lightsaber and said ''So, shall we begin our duel, or do you want to do something else first?''

@[member="Krest"]

Krest pulled up his own saber, igniting the blue blade. "We have been talking about this for quite some time no? I think it is time to fight." He pulled his blade down to the side, holding it aloft. His version of the Juyo opening stance. Be was exited to fight, especially against another bladesman like himself. So he waited, ready to begin his duel with @[member="Hayato"].

''Very well.'' He said. It was true, they had been talking about a duel for quite a while now and Hayato was happy that they finally got to fight for real. He ignited his golden Lightsaber and entered a Soresu fighting stance, the one in which he lifted his head above his head and stood with his hand in front of him, waving his hand in a challenging way. ''Let's do this then.'' He waited for his opponent to make his first move, since he had entered a more aggressive fighting stance.

Krest burst forward, his figure a blur. The Force sped up his movements, allowing him to close the gap in a matter of seconds. He sped by @[member="Hayato"], his blade ripping through the air twice, once for his chest, and a second for his back. No need to hold back.

Hayato watched the man burst forward at high speed. His speed was impressive, though Hayato focused on that as well and he was able to match Krest's speed. He saw his lightsaber coming towards him in front of him, so he moved his own blade to block it, holding it with both hands. Then, when the Zabrak's blade came from behind, he moved his foot and turned his upper body to block the blade behind him. He only used one hand to block it, though he used the Force to enhance his speed and strength. Afterwards he drew upon the force to make a telekinetic blow against Krest's arm and hopefully taking out his lightsaber, though he doubted he would hit since his aim wasn't very good and Krest was moving at a high speed.

Krest's saber flew from his grip, but it didn't stop the Zabrak. He turned on his foot, sending a backhand for @[member="Hayato"]. He sent the force from his fist, attempting to knock the man back long enough for him to use the force to bring his blade back to his hand. Once his blade was returned to his palm he ignited it, slashing across for the man.

Apparently Hayato was a better marksman than he had imagined, seeing as he had hit Krest's Lightsaber and knocked it out of his hand. He was about to move in for a knock out strike with the pommel of his Lightsaber, but he got interrupted by Krest's fist. He got knocked back for a second and moved his hand free hand to his face. He was dizzy for a second because of the blow, but then shrugged it off and moved his hand back to his Lightsaber to block Krest's slash. He was pretty defensive, which was logical seeing as he was skilled in defensive combat styles.

Hayato was impressed at the Zabrak's fighting and acrobatic skills. He could only imagine what they would be able of achieving once they had a lot of experience in bladework and swordfighting. They would be an unstoppable force if they were to work together and fight a common foe. That was one of the reasons Hayato wanted to be friends with Krest. The others being that Krest was an aspiring bladesman and an overall awesome Templar. Then Hayato snapped back to reality and saw the oncoming attack. He repositioned himself again and blocked the Lightsaber attack. He then tried to attack, seeing as Krest was trying to break his defense by keeping up pressure, he wanted to break that routine by going on the offensive. Right after he blocked the attack he spun around and used the Force to enhance his blow against Krest. He hoped to throw him off by doing that, so that his defense didn't break down after a couple of blows from the Zabrak.

Krest stumbled back from the sudden attack, catching the blade along the edge of his. He continued back, shaking his head a bit. He should be use to sudden changes, yet they constantly caught him off guard. Annoyed, the Zabrak tugged on his rage, increasing his strength and speed more. He spun, leaping to @[member="Hayato"] and cartwheeling to the side, slashing on his way over. The two could prove an unstoppable duo, and he couldn't wait till he got the chance to fight at his side.

It seemed that his tactic had worked. The attack had caught Krest off guard and his onslaught of attacks had been paused. Now he would have more time to power out Krest and end this duel quicker, though it seemed that this attack had only made Krest angry, which would probably mean that his power had increased. His oncoming attack proved that. It was more powerful than the previous ones and he had to use both his hands to deflect and he had to use a bit of the Force as well. Then he got ready for the next attack by going into a stance which allowed him more stability, so as to be able to block the next attack better.

Krest built the force up in his foot. With a quick stomp he sent a wave of force outwards, intending to set the man off balance. He strikes thrice, back to Juyo, slashing hard. He continued hard, utilizing his pure offensive tactics. The best defense was a good offense after all. @[member="Hayato"]

Hayato was completely caught off guard by the Force Wave. It ruined his stance by making him loose his balance, which meant that he was unable to block the three attacks. He was only able to block the first one, the second one almost knocked his Lightsaber out of his hands, but got deflected and went just past his upper arm, then the third attack knocked his blade out of his hands and he had to sidestep to dodge the attack. The Lightsaber landed somewhere in the grass around the training grounds, outside his field of view, so he had to fight Weaponless for now. He drew upon the Force to release a powerful blow that was intended to shake up Krest and make him loose his concentration for a couple seconds to allow Hayato to run and find his Lightsaber. Depending on how this moment played out, he would either loose horribly, be able to continue somewhat without his weapon, or find his weapon and continue like he had before.

Krest stumbled back from the force blast, shaking his head. Still the force caught him off guard. Still he had to get use to it. He threw his saber outwards though, to have it land right in between @[member="Hayato"] and his saber. Krest ran after the man shortly after, sending his own force blast outwards. He needed to finish this quick less Hayato found a way to counter the Zabrak. And it wasn't something hard to figure out after the first couple of clashes.

Hayato moved towards the direction the Lightsaber had flown into. He needed to find it, otherwise he would loose the duel pretty quickly. He was about to jump off the stone slabs into the grass, when a Lightsaber hit the ground in front of him. He immediately stopped. One more step forward and he would've lost his leg and that would not have been very nice, would it? So he decided to turn around and take Krest in a fist fight, seeing as he didn't have a lightsaber either now, but first he was knocked back by Krest's Force Push. After a couple moments he recovered and leapt forward with one fist drawn back, one in front of his body, his legs pointing backwards and his body arched backwards. He had enhanced his jump with the Force, which explained how he was able to cover the distance between them like that. He was building up a powerful telekinetic blow with his drawn back fist which would hopefully knock Krest out if it were to hit, though Krest had all the time in the world to dodge and make his own counter-attack.

Krest moves forward still, even as the man jumps. He focuses the force in both his fists, adopting his boxing stance. He sent out his own wave to counter @[member="Hayato"]'s push before thrusting out his second, aiming for the flying man. Force boxing was his niche, and he aimed to use it.

Hayato was still mid-air when he released his Force Push, that turned out to be a big mistake, since Krest was preparing two Force Pushes as well. The first of them countered his own and the second one sent him flying in the opposite direction. He landed somewhere in the grass. He was a bit dizzy because of the force and speed at which he had crashed into the ground and he needed a couple of seconds to recover. He shook his head and looked up expecting to see a Zabrak running at him at high speed, ready to knock him out.

@[member="Krest"]

Krest kept his fists up, continuing his run for @[member="Hayato"]. He burst forward, the force speeding his movements. Once close he'd send another force punch for the man, his eyes narrowed in deep focus. He had every intention of winning, and he was going on as such.
