Blind and Broken
Gray had gone around and collected himself some crystals usable in lightsabers. He needed to get one put together but didn't know a thing about how to put them together. He didn't know what all parts were needed, where they went in side of it, or even what the different parts would do. He was a fighter, a mercenary, a gunslinger, but he was not a craftsman. He couldn't make anything out of anything, even if given forever. So how was he going to put together a lightsaber, which was something he had to do himself. He knew he had to, because it was suppose to be an extension of himself. He was aware of that because of his own attachment to his blaster pistol.
Gray needed to know how to do it, and the best craftsman he knew was his own cousin [member="Jack Raxis"] who was a natural at making things. He needed his cousin's help, and figured he would drop by and get it. He had sent a message ahead to Jack that he was coming to the homestead to visit and get any help on lightsaber building. He landed his ship and left Key in charge of it. The little droid was always too eager to meet Jack for some reason he hadn't figured out. He was in his casual clothes with his duster on. He walked up to the front door and knocked. Here was hoping Jack actually knew something about building a sword made of light.
