A Common Myth-Understanding of Life

There was much to prepare for. Kay had a big announcement to make to the Commenori, but she just wasn't quite ready yet. The round room hadn't been used much. It used to be the throne room, one that she had foolishly created after her abduction and fall to the Dark. Since her husband [member="Veiere Arenais"] had brought her back to the Light and with it restored her hope and confidence in herself, she had the room abandoned. Even the throne itself was removed.

Kay paced around the circle in the middle of the empty room, her hands resting almost protectively around her belly that now had an obvious bump. She still had more than a few months left to go in her pregnancy, if all went well, but it wasn't as though she could hide it for much longer. Not unless she hid herself from the public eye.

Of course such an announcement should be seen as something to celebrate, and for the King and Queen it surely was. Yet at the same time Kay was filled with worry. Worry over whether or not the child would be a target. Worry over whether or not they would be able to raise the child in seclusion or if the child would always be in the public eye. And of course there was the worry that she wouldn't know how to care for it. Kay hadn't really been around children younger than 4 standard years before. She'd never even held one.

Then there was the matter of the Government. Would they force her to step away from ruling for a time? Would Veiere? He himself was stuck between two worlds, one that he was destined for; the Jedi, and the other that he married into. Despite his reassurances, Kay still felt as though she was holding him back from what he truly desired, from the path that he longed for. So whenever he'd leave Commenor to go to Deneba or elsewhere, she never begged him to stay. It would be selfish for her to do so. She had spent most of her life alone, so she was sure that she could make do well enough while he was away.

Just so long as there wasn't any trouble.

But so many staff members came and went. It was hard to keep anyone in her employ, outside of [member="Darlyn Excron"] and [member="Darben Skirae"] anyways. Those two, and even including Darben's assistant Mute, would always have a place here.

Kay stopped in her pacing and looked about the room. She needed to make the shadows disappear. There needed to be more light to represent the hope for Commenor and her family's future; and also to give any that threatened them less places to hide.

Light. Flowers. Colours. Friends and family. That should be what the announcement should show. This room, once decorated would suit it perfectly.

A strange feeling came over her then. Not one of foreboding, although it was dark. But it was certainly familiar. Her eyes darted through the room, searching the shadows, but not really seeing anything of note. Of course that didn't entirely mean anything.

"Who's there?" Kay's voice just sent echoes in the empty room.

[member="Mythos"]

Motherkarking Commenor. it seemed Mythos had been dead for centuries because last thing he remembered Commenor was nothing more than a footnote in the Empire that was the One Sith and the vast territories that encompassed it's glorious rule... the past was what the Sith lord dwelled in and what gave him his most exquisite powers. Mythos had returned from the land of the dead but with the price of a loss of power for what seemed months before he tracked down his son... and devoured him. All humanity was forsaken in him, all honor and semblance of goodness that Kay had come to know when she visited him in Naboo and at his throne room in Atrisia. Now it was he who would come visit her in her Throne. Getting to commenor was not difficult for him, no one looks for a dead man and even if they did clones created of him by the One Sith still lingered in the galaxy and they were numerous... he was just one more clone... no one would suspect him being the original. He arrived to the neutral capital of the faction as a civilian in a civilian transport with civilian clothes. For the occasion he was well dressed, he was planning to make it into the capital palace and see his old friend but once he docked and saw the signs and the news and the fact that Kay did not only hold a position in commenor but was the Queen of the system and the faction itself Mythos smiled and mused to himself. "You have come far friend... Time to catch up"

Of course... he was not going to get an Audience... he would need to make an Audience luckily many of the ex mercenary soldiers of the One Sith ended up doing details here and there pulling security and to Mythos' luck, one of his personal Atrisian officers had ended up in palace details. Not anything substantial but knowladgable enough to know the layout of the place. He made a holocall and asked a few questions, mainly, how high was the throne room...

It was pretty high up... In his back Mythos carried a backpack with gear and supplies and most importantly his dual lightsaber. It was quick flight to the center of the city, quicker to identify the building in question and even quicker to realize that this place was jam packed with guards that made his excursion detail look poorly armed. Mythos stood inside the rented speeder, a luxury ride he himself had picked out when he arrived. He liked to ride in style... Before he got out of his speeder he donned his Sith Assassin cloak and covered his face in an alley then stepped out to a few prying eyes well over a few kilometers in the air. Using his strength in telekinesis Mythos used his ability of force flight directly into the floor he knew the Throne room was located in and took out a guard in a balcony silently... without messing up his clothes.

It would only be a matter of time before the guards were alerted and he checked the mans pulse to make sure he wasn't dead. He took off his cloak and placed it upon him and took off the cloth he covered his face with as well and walked his way to the throne room... sensing Kay and her presence in the force while not hiding his. Two guards stood in the gate of the throne room and Mythos' yellow eyes sent them on high alert. "I am a friend of the Queen... she is expecting me" He said as they reached for their weapons and communicators. He expected as much and slammed both of them with a powerful telekinesis surge that was silent but strong.

Mythos walked through the dark and empty halls until from the corner of his eye he saw his old friend in the middle of a giant empty room. She asked who was there... he wondered if she would remember him... imprison him... know what happened to him at all... no one seemed to remember.

"A Throne room Kay?" He said as he walked into the light. "it suits you... Ironic that it is now I who visit you on yours"

It was the movement at the door from the corner of her eye that caught her attention as [member="Mythos"] strode in. She turned to face him, a mixture of confusion and startlement taking hold on her features. At first she didn't say anything. She merely stared as he approached and stepped into the light.

"You're...alive?" Of course she still couldn't believe it. Mythos was dead. Not just once, but twice. Back on Atrisia, he had faked his death, only to run away and raise his family in peace. She was there at his fake funeral and saw the rise of his replacement. Then she had heard of his death again, only this time he didn't reach out to her, not even when Atrisia was attacked by the Jedi and so many innocent people had died. Her husband was there in that battle, fighting to help the people of Atrisia. When still no word of Mythos came, she was sure that the rumours were true; he was really gone.

But now here he was, walking into her home with eyes more yellow than she'd ever see them before. He was much darker than he was when she had seen him last, having gone through some Force training at his Palace. So what was he doing here? There were so many questions that needed answers.

"Ironic indeed, Silver-Tongue. Much has changed in a relatively short time. What brings you here?" She used his nickname instead of his name. She wasn't entirely sure if his visit was a secretive one or not.

He halted in front of her throne and smiled but it was not the smile she would remember, the beaming open and sincere smile filled with playfull glee and hidden intentions that were harmless... it was a smile of self importance and arrogance, it was a smile of evil. Once he arrived in her throne room he let go of his force pressence fully, allowing himself to relax without fear of Jedi and the likes to detect him. Her words brought a chuckle to him. "Being dead was boring... and my silver tounge is a pile of ash somewhere in Atrisia" He stated matter of factly, still smirking and eyeing the queen. She was different, her eyes were different and also there was something else, something was off about her and it wasn't just her force sensitivity after her training that made it more notable... no...
His face could't hide it, when he realized it his eyebrows went up as if a lightbulb in his head turned on. She was with child. Very interesting.

"Thank your husband for me... he was a Jedi who helped defend my world from those who would seek to kill it." He said, sincerity and seriousness dripping from his words. He leaned back on air and pondered, what did bring him here? was it to catch up? Of course not. She had power, he was a shadow but most importantly... Mythos was bored. It had been so long since he had built something, created something, killed something other than a teenage brat who shared his blood. He wanted to be part of something again. "It would seem I'm unemployed" He said humorously adding a glance over his shoulder to make sure guards were not sneaking up on him while he spoke. "I want to do something again" He said this time without the humor, eyes looking over to the void. "Build, train and fight... " His words echoed to himself more than to her or anything else. He sighed and resigned himself to life at this moment, he had a plan but needed help.... he couldn't talk about it now however...

"I would have loved to have you in Atrisia permanently, if the statue of lava crystals didn't give that away" He said with the humor and smirk coming back. "Any chance I could stay here? Help you in whatever? I may have a few marketable skills."

Kay folded her arms across her chest, glancing down to her feet momentarily as she shifted her weight on them, before looking up to [member="Mythos"] as he stopped in front of her. That smile of his was a little unnerving, as was the look in his eyes. Harsh experiences have caused the playboy that she knew to grow up and she wasn't entirely sure if she was comfortable with that yet. He had never sought to cause her harm, but that could have changed by now. He was here and unannounced. No guards had come and it made her wonder just how he had accomplished that. The Silver-Tongue was apparently no more.

But as always, he stared at her. That always made her uncomfortable in some respects. She could see it in him the moment that he realized her condition. Mythos wasn't the first to come to notice it in such a way. The silence, the fact that they didn't point it out made her worry ever more about the child's safety. Would it be used against her by hidden enemies? Only time would tell.

Kay nodded to him as he spoke of her thanking her husband. So he knew that she was married? Well, it wasn't exactly something that was hidden from the public. Still, at least he wasn't getting after her for marrying a Jedi, or making fun of it.

Mythos changed the topic and she was thankful for it. But it caused her to raise a brow. "You want to work for me?" Of course she had a Ministerial position available, one that could be what he was looking for. But it seemed to be a cursed position. Those that she had given it to tended to disappear. Kay didn't want that to happen again, so she had kept it more or less empty.

He remarked on wanting to have her stay on Atrisia, and reminded her of the statue he had made of her, one that was destroyed when the Jedi had attacked. Kay laughed then, a quiet and uncomfortable laugh. Of course he had wanted her to stay, but she couldn't resign herself into doing so. She favoured loyalty and he was a playboy. Atrisia was also harsher and darker than she had liked. Kay would've spent her days there forever being the outsider. She couldn't see herself living that way. Her visits there were always short.

She tilted her head to the side a bit as he asked to stay and then nodded after a moment's pause. "You may stay. But I'll need to know a few things, like how you got in here without my guards stopping you, if there's anyone after you, and lastly, if you'll be able to abide by our laws when you are here."

Mythos combed his hair back and pondered, this time his eyes resting on the architecture of the room around them. He was versed in culture and design and the room was not designed like anything else in the palace or in Commenor for that matter... if he didn't know any better he would say this room was designed by a sith. He nodded when she asked, he did want to work for her and if there way pay and it was any good he looked forward to it.... not that he needed money. When she asked him three questions Myhtos laughed a well needed laugh, he loved to brag and was proud of all his power but his skills in infiltration were legendary in Assassin circles. "Kay I was trained as a Sith Assassin before anything else in the One Sith... it's not a well known fact but..." he paused, remembering with bitterness his days in house Chaf. Not only was Mythos trained as a Sith Assassin but he was trained by the greatest sith assassin in recent history [member="Darth Ophidia"]... The Pale Shadow herself... he wondered if she was still alive in that moment.

"It is not the first time I have infiltrated a palace with a queen on it, it probably wont be the last" His eyes met her then, blazing yellow orbs of fire that made the point that he was no longer a playboy or filled with any kind of goodness like he was in the past. His eyes closed and he folded his legs levitating in mid air with the use of telekinesis. "I am a Sith Lord Kay... one who has seen death, real death... and come back from it stronger. Your guards lie unconscious outside this door if I wanted you dead or harmed you would be..." His eyes opened after that statement, from yellow to red. "I think you know that" He let silence linger mainly to meditate on her last questions. Was there anyone after him? "The Galaxy thinks I died in Atrisia, I like to keep it that way which is why I ask the position you put me in to be as far away from the public as possible or else I will have to change this body" That last statement... it hit him as well. He paused and frowned realizing it himself. 'Can I do that...? I can do that... if I follow the ritual if I re write the scrolls and.... Yes.... I can do that' He thought to himself, snapping back to the queen and her final question.
Transfer essence was a skill few Sith in this galaxy had but without it he could not have returned from Chaos itself, he did not think of doing it again but now he was confident enough to try.

"As for your laws I am aware of them and shall follow your command and orders as I did to my Emperor during my tenure as will..." Comparing Kay to the late dark lord might seem uncomfortable but it was the only way he could make that point... if he was allowed to serve the Commenor Alliance he would take the duties zealously.

Kay watched while [member="Mythos"] combed his hair and looked about the empty room. What was he searching for? Or was he just pondering on her lack of decor?

She lowered her arms slowly, letting them fall gently to her sides as he spoke of his skills. Ah yes, she had forgotten. He had moved into the assassin line of work not long before his first 'death'. Kay was safe from that, despite her being a former Republic politician. It was their friendship that had spared her from such a fate and nothing more.

Kay took in a deep breath and let it out slowly as he spoke of death. Sure he may have seen a lot, but so had she. The months of torture that she had endured during her abduction should have killed her many times over. Yet she was not allowed to die. Did it make her stronger? Possibly. Though she still relied on others. Her blood innocence died in those cells, after the first time that she was made to kill in cold blood in order to regain her freedom.

She held his gaze, noting the change in the colour of his eyes as well as the power behind them. If it was one thing that Mythos had kept during his journey, it was his habit of showing off. He did that a lot around her before, showing of his wealth, his homes, the artwork that his people made of himself as well as that creepy lava crystal statue of herself. He also liked to show off his power and skills in the Force. It was partly why she asked him to teach her to defend herself against others like him, by using Force Shields and levitation. She knew he wouldn't refuse her, for it seemed as though he did everything that he could in order to please her. It was strange how he took her refusals as a challenge to try harder.

Kay shook her head a little as he spoke of changing bodies. There was no need for that. She clasped her hands in front of her, glancing to the doorway momentarily before turning her gaze back to him. "There is no need for you to change bodies. I can keep you out of the public eye." She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, wondering how [member="Veiere Arenais"] would take to having a Sith Lord in the Palace that he didn't know. Yet Mythos' being there would serve a purpose. "You say that you'd like to build and train...well, teach my guards how to properly prevent assassins like yourself from infiltrating the Palace. With a child on the way...it could be that we'll need that extra protection. You'll be provided with room and board, some pay and benefits as well. Does that sound alright with you?"

Mythos smiled as she gave her consent and blessings, of course he did not excpet anything else from her and was rather exited to begin his work as zealously as possible. He nodded when she mentioned the child and gave her a smile that for the first time seemed remanecent of the days when he had kindness. "Congratulations Kay, I'll do everything i can to protect you both... as for your Guards" He said as he looked back over his shoulder as the guards he had previously knocked out just now came wobbling in. He sighed, he had a lot of work to do... they were well equipped and well armed but poorly trained to face Assassins and Sith. He placed his feet down and stopped levitating turnung to face the guards, one finger extended to the senior non comissioned officer. "You there" He said, pausing to wait for any other guards who would come. "Tomorrow, Zero fivehundred at the palace lower entrance in formation... any palace guard not there is fired... spread the word"

The guard looked at him confused, his face a plethora of emotions from anger to confusion to fear to the 'Who in the Blazes are you?' expression which amused Mythos greatly. Of course they would want confirmation from their queen of whatever it is that they just heard. He turned back to kay with an extended finger and a puzzled look on his face, he had forgot something... "One more thing i did want to run by you" He pulled into his suit and produced a datapad and began tinkering with it. Once he had gotten what he wanted he used telekinesis to pass the datapad to her gently. "I have a design for a ship, back in the days of my Mustafarian connection and the forsight i designed it but never really got around to building it.. i don't know the state of Commenors navy but..." he shruged to himself, a little arrogant in his posture and smirked. "I can help with that too."

Kay bowed her head as [member="Mythos"] congratulated her. It was funny how people tended to not say anything on the subject until she did. Maybe they thought that it wasn't their place. But that would be all over soon enough, once the official announcement had been made.

Her attention was drawn to the guards once a few of them came in to check on her. She didn't know which methods were used against them, but she was glad that they seemed to be okay for the most part. Their confusion was understandable, yet they were used to Force Users of all types finding their way into the Palace. She nodded her head to give them reassurance."He is my friend and he's going to be training you all to better stop others like him from breaching our walls."

"What about Mac?"

"Mac has been gone for some time. I expect that it's personal business and I've been unable to reach him. So we'll need someone else in his stead. Follow his commands as you would follow Mac's"

"Yes, m'Lady"

She raised a brow as Mythos had something else on his mind to divulge. The datapad floated towards her and she took hold of it, looking over the ship that it displaued. Kay wasn't an engineer or anything, but it looked impressive. The mention of Mustafar reminded her of [member="Ultimatum"] . He was a dear friend and former ruler, but now he was elsewhere.

"It's a unique design. Our fleets could certainly use an upgrade and expansion. I'd appreciate your help." She held out the datapad for him. "Would you like me to give you a tour? You'll need to know your way around, afterall."

As expected Kay gave guards reassurance that this new deadline so early in the morning would be quite serious, Mythos had a whole day planned out for them... a whole month if he had his way, they were well trained and efficient when it came to standard military procedures and for what he could see marksmanship... Not against sith and force users. Mythos had trained his own guard to be as efficient, the Legendary jar'Kai that numbered only three hundred yet alone they were able to stand against the likes of Jedi masters and Sith lords together even going as far as to single handedly taking on the Republic Senate guard in Donovia. he would do the same to them, train them to be a powerful and effective unit designed and trained to fight and kill force users. On other news Who was Mac? His name threw Mythos off as he looked at Kay with a raised eyebrow and an Inquisitorial look. As Kay looked into the design of his new ship she seemed quite impressed, Mythos smiled contently and narrowed his eyes. The Ship was unlike anything in the galaxy and it would be unique, three hundred meters of pure firepower and the latest and greatest in technology.

It was meant to be his new personal vessel, powerful and imposing but also gallant and graceful as well as aesthetically pleasing. It was not the first time Mythos had designed a ship and if it was up to him it wouldn't be the last, he loved to tinker and fix ships to be fast and strong always looking for the next new design but right now his focus was on archaeology... he had to find something. That was a story he would tell her on another day. When the word 'tour' hit his ears Mythos perked up like a Tuk'ata expecting a treat. "A tour? Don't mind if I do!"

Kay caught the look that [member="Mythos"] gave assoon as the name Mac was mentioned. Of course he wouldn't know the staff by name, but that'll all change later. Most especially with the tour.

She smiled a little as a bit of the old Mythos came back at the prospect of going on a tour. That was nice to see. Kay gestured for him to walk along side her as she led him down the hall. "I'm not sure of which way you came in, but this is the west wing."

As they proceeded through the tour, she showed him where nearly everything was; such as the kitchens, the training rooms, the meeting rooms, bath houses, Minister offices, Security offices, her own office that held her bedchambers up the stairs, and even including the secret passageways. The Royal Palace was old in some ways, yet she held a fondness for it's architecture.

Kay led him to his own chambers which was conveniently placed near the security offices and armoury. "Here's where you'll be staying. Godfrey is the Head of the House. He'll see to your housekeeping and mealtimes." She stepped to the side of the door, letting Mythos inspect it on his own. "I can show you the grounds and Chasin City if you'd like. There's plenty to see. I just need to have some tea first and a bite to eat." She'd been getting hungry more often these days. Usually stress and a busy schedule kept her from having much of an appetite. But keeping to that wasn't a good thing for one in her condition to do.

Mythos followed kay, smile on his face the whole time as now he would finally get to inspect and asses the palace and it's security as well as whatever else she had in store to show him. Her comment brought a smile to his face. "I came in through the roof actually." he stated matter of cactly but humour and arrogance still stinging in his tone, always showing off obviously. He wondered if there would be any other people of high importance coming to assess him or meet him but for now he was content with the privacy and personal meeting with the queen herself. Queen, he was still in amazement of just how far she had come. 'The Slave savior herself... She must be loved' he thought to himself, 'she must be loved more than I was loved...' and that was not a small feat. First place they came to was the kitchen and Mythos already could smell the delicious food being prepared, the cooks smiling and greeting with kindness. It was nothing like the high speed and pressure driven kitchen of Atrisia, there the cooks were always under pressure to create everything absolutely perfect and without flaw. He was starving.

She took him through all the places and one by one Mythos secretly scrutinized every single thing he found imperfect. For starters where in the nine blazes of chaos were the turrets and guns? Sniper nests? Guard towers? The bay for the Medium and heavy armor? Artillery pieces? Shield Generators? the take off and landing pad in riding distance for a switch deployment of surface fighters? That simply wouldn't do. He did not know how Kay would feel about heavy military presence but if he was to keep her alive there would need to be more than a single layer of security, there would need to be several and some that went beyond the palace itself, a regiment alone would not do. the Secret passages were a welcome change of pace, finally some tactical knowledge and military infrastructure. When he got to his personal chambers he was surprised to see that it was located next to the armory, he shot a wink at the female guarding the weapons and her look surprised him. He would need to inspect those weapons sooner rather than later...

the room was beautiful the architercture of the halls and meeting rooms and the palace itself was astonishing and it wasn't a bad place at all to spend nights. "I'll need a few extra meal times... is there a gymnasium?" He asked, this was important to him as well. Before when Kay met him he was fit but not big by any means, now he was packing muscle and bulk due to his time in Midvinter. He was hungry too, he nodded to her request and smiled. "I'd love to, I have a great speeder I rented if you want to go undercover to avoid the notice.. also.." he produced a sealed pouch from his suit, plasteel and pressurized to keep the freshness. "I don't how much of it survived but... it might be the last in the galaxy." He presented Kay with precious Atrisian Tea from the royal gardens. "I don't drink tea that often, I knew you did" He smiled and shot her a wink, he had a feeling she more than anyone would appreciate this gift and he loved being praised for his greatness in bringing rare things.

Kay smirked as [member="Mythos"] told her about arriving into the Palace via the roof. Her eyes were immediately drawn upwards, almost searching for holes cut into it. "The roof, huh? Why am I not surprised...."

She nodded as he mentioned needing extra meal times and a gymnasium. That didn't surprise her. Whatever he had gone through since they last saw eachother, he had built up his physique. Maybe that was partly due to growing up. "Just let Godfrey know and he'll be sure that you're properly fed. Also, you're able to go into the kitchens and cook your own meals as well. The staff will let you. And yes, the gymnasium is attached to the training rooms."

Kay began to lead him back to the kitchens, taking note that he had rented a speeder. "That'll be fine. No need to go under cover though. I keep myself accessible to others. It helps in regulating any conflicts that might arise."

But then he handed her a gift. She paused in her steps and studied the contents. It had been some time since she had seen the Atrisian leaves and already she could imagine the aroma. Was it really the last of it? She certainly hoped not. Kay smiled and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, much like she used to. "Thank you. I'll be sure to use it on special occasions, and have people search for some seeds of the plant. Maybe we could grow some here." She let him go, imagining what Atrisia could be like now. Probably barren in some parts. That made her sad. No doubt Mythos felt even worse about it.

Not long after, they were back in her office. Godfrey had already had the tea and small meal prepared. He knew her schedule. Extra food was there not so much because of Mythos, but because Godfrey and Kay's assistant Olivia insisted that she eat more. The smells of the cooked meats and baked goods quickly reached their noses. "Right on time. Please help yourself."

The look Mythos gave when she stated that she made herself accessible to others was one of friendly disapproval but it was not his pace to judge, he did the same in Atrisia to be close to the people and to gain their respect and love. Everything went smoothly with Kay, it was as it always had been, a mutual understanding between them and peace which was rare for any sith wherever he may be. It was when he saw her eyes gazing at the leaves that he remembered the illusion he had crafted for her in his home in Naboo, elaborate and beautiful in an intent to woo her. Mythos truly didn't know what he would have done if Kay would have given him a chance and stayed in Atrisia... but some part in him knew she probably would have ended up as queen to the dismay of his then wife. Mythos always knew he would never be a man of one sole woman... not after Fantana broke his heart. It was then something utterly unexpected happened, a freak incident in the force... She hugged him and he did not know how to react.

Upon her embrace Mythos twitched his hands behind her back almost as if he did not know what to do with a hug... it was then it happened. Sadness and pain from the loss of Atrisia, he saw it in his mind and so would Kay. Atrisia was gone, the entire planet was an inhospitable land of ash and radiation caused by the force storm. In that instant when she held him in her arms she would see it as he had seen it, the death and pain... his failure. 'I failed them...'

'But I won't fail you' He thought to himself as he looked at Kay and smiled, a sneaky tear from his eye slightly visible as the food came. Ahhh baked goods... his one weakness and something his fitness trainer would have a heart attack if he saw him eating. A man could sin in diet every once in a while. "That smells amazing" he said, changing the tune of the atmosphere and levitated what looked to be an amazingly unhealthy pastry into his hand and rerated the cardio he would have to do to remove it...

Most leaders of worlds didn't care to be around their own people, or the common folk. They tended to see everyone as being beneath them. But both Kay and [member="Veiere Arenais"] weren't like that. They weren't born into their roles, and both knew full well what it was like to survive on nothing. So there were plenty of times when they would venture out into the city and elsewhere, moreso for Veiere than her as she tended to be busy with meetings and politics in general.

The visions that came as [member="Mythos"] hugged her came as a shock. She wasn't expecting them. The pain, the guilt, the sorrow, all of it came to her at once. She didn't go during the battle, others prevented her from doing so. Even if she did go, it wouldn't of changed anything. The planet still would've been lost. In the grand scheme of things, she was a nobody that was easily replaced.

"You didn't fail them...others did as a whole. They attacked and killed innocent people. I haven't looked at their government the same way again. I just can't..." It was during that battle that had confirmed both to herself and to Veiere that the Jedi had lost their way.

Kay smiled as he seemed to enjoy the foods that were available. Kay of course went straight to the tea. It was her comfort. She poured herself a cup and then went to her desk, securing the pouch of Atrisian leaves in a drawer, before walking over to the food tray and selecting a biscuit. She sat herself down on one of the comfy chairs, wondering who should do the catching up first. There was plenty for the both of them to discuss, but now might not be the right time for it. Still, she asked anyways. "What happened when you disappeared? Or would you rather that I tell you about what happened with me?"

Mythos could't bare to look at Kay, he was scared that she would see his shame but most importantly his anger and fury. Mythos hated them, he swore vengeance on them and would not rest to go to the afterlife and the embrace of death until they were all wiped off the face of the galaxy by His lightsaber. He could not let her see that hatred, he could not let her see that pain instead he looked down like a scolded child, wallowing in his pain and suffering for himself. It was his burden to bear... not hers. As they ate she asked him a question that threw a smile on his face again. "The first time or in Atrisia...? " He chuckled as he answered his own question. "After Lujo i packed up Atrisia and left to Midvinter to live among the Valkyr, i did regular missions as the force was severed from me" He stated, not holding any grudge to the Heavenshields for severing him from the force, after all, they spared his life after he almost killed them both. "In Atrisa when i returned i actually died" He said looking into her eyes, yellow blazing fire to accentuate the fact that he had indeed seen what lies beyond the realm of life. "I saw it..." He said, shifting his gaze to the abyss. "I saw the realm of Chaos and i climbed out... now i am here" He finished, smiling warmly and taking a swig of Caff, good caff too. "What about you?" He asked inquisitionaly, in truth he knew nothing but that she lived now in Commenor, his knowledge of modern galactic affairs was limited.

"I know nothing of how the Galaxy is now a days... my memory itself comes and goes..."

Midvinter. So many have gone there, yet it was one of the places that Kay had never been. More than likely she wouldn't either. The chances that she had to leave her territory were getting fewer and fewer. But at least with the growth of CSA territory, it allowed her the opportunity to go and visit worlds other than Commenor. [member="Mythos"] had lost his connection to the Force and then regained it somehow. He had died and then came back. All of that just led to even more questions.

Yet instead of giving her the chance to ask, he inquired about her instead. He touched upon not knowing much about the state of the Galaxy, and of memories. Kay's own memories that were lost had come back, but it was confusing at times as the memories of dreams were mixed along with it. Even the memories of Mythos were taken from her for a time. He was lucky to have returned now instead of a few months previous.

"The Galaxy is the same that it's always been. Full of war and conflict. However here...it is safe. We are neutral, have trade contracts and non-aggression pacts with different sides, so they have no desire to strike at us and no reason to do so. Our neutrality keeps us safe."

She sipped her tea, giving herself a moment before she continued. "I came here after I was fired from the Republic. Then I was sort of pushed into running for President. I won the election easily, although it happened after our sector was attacked my the Mandalorians. I secured a deal with them, ensuring our safety. That sort of started it. Deals with other large government powers came afterwards. Then he came." Kay clenched her jaw. "Somehow Prazutis knew of my Force Sensitivity. He abducted me and took me somewhere far away. I was tortured for months. There was no break, hardly any sleep and just barely enough food to survive. He stole my memories of everyone that I loved, including you, leaving just bad memories behind like the death of my first husband. I was beaten all the time. I had to become his student to get out of there. He made me...kill other prisoners. I'd do it quickly at first...but he wanted me to make them suffer." She shut her eyes as she pushed down the emotions that tended to be brought up by it, and by the nightmares. "I was brought back here when he felt that I was ready. Afterwards I secured the throne. He made me think that everyone was going to take everything away from me, so I had to protect myself." She opened her eyes and sipped her tea. "Veiere helped me. He stuck with me and showed me the way to recovery. I owe him so much." So she married him, promising her loyalty to him in the way that he gave her his. She wouldn't have it any other way.

Mythos sat and listened to her, his eyes narrowing to focus. He did this by reaction. He could sense her pain and emotions as she told her story. When she told him about the galaxy he could't help but to smile. That was pretty much what he expected from the galaxy and its schemes, a war torn and divided galaxy that never truly seemed to get along, equalizers like Mythos were more than needed. It was when she told him about Prazutis. He could't help but to mutter when he heard his name "Coward" In his eyes he was nothing more, he had the courage to face the silver Jedi, the courage to raise arms against him but not the courage to the face the Galactic alliance. One of the many names in Mythos' list of people he would kill was Prazutis, a man he once called brother. Yet he said nothing more as Kay told him her story, he tapped into her naturally, feeling the emotions flow as the brutality and cruelty she told him unfolded through her words. His eyes blazed with anger but he was always angry, always resentful and always full of hate now a days... He would not tell Kay he killed his own son, he would not tell her that he would slaughter innocents too. He was far from saving now.

He noticed her pushing down her emotion and remembered to stop himself from sopping her. To him those emotions made her stronger, that anger that hate and that desire for vengeance was what brought him from death it what conquered everything, it seemed counter productive to him but he let it go and simply looked at her when she finished. "your Husband is a good man" He stated, finishing his cup of caff before he turned his eyes to the abyss once again. "By my saber you will have your justice"

Kay felt the same way that [member="Mythos"] did. Prazutis was a coward, and cruel and many other names that were much nastier to say. Yet she was glad that he never set foot on Commenor again. If he did so, she was afraid that the anger that it would cause in [member="Veiere Arenais"] , the need for justice, would cause her husband to go dark. She saw that enough after Connor attacked her. The look in his eyes, the same that he gave her after he basically ordered her to not get into another situation with the Sith like she did over Yutan, she didn't like seeing that from him. She didn't like how he felt in those moments.

She sipped her tea again, nodding in agreement that her husband was good. But to his comment on him seemingly talking to his lightsaber, she raised a brow. Mythos wasn't looking at her, so it was obvious that he was in his own thoughts.

Kay finished her biscuit, her appetite gone with her bad memories having been brought up. She got to her feet and walked over to the side table to refill her cup. "Shall we go? There's plenty to see."

Mythos let out a breath, sigh of both releif and stress given the nature of their conversation. He armed his smile and confidence, eyes gleaming with anticipation and curiosity like a child in an amusement part. "Lead the way My Queen" It was the first time he used that title but it would not be the last by any chance in the galaxy. He was a man who either lead, ruled or served a worthy ruler, like the emperor of the One Sith. A man with no equal until he was murdered by Mythos' own master... he would have justice done for that too when the time came but not now, His master could still be brought to sensibility. Mythos stood and walked behind Kay, donning his suit and tie as well as his lightsaber in his belt, neatly tucked away and out of sight.

Before they left there was one thing in Mythos' mind that still nagged at him and he needed to speak his mind about it. "You are strong in the force Kay" He stated, eyes narrowing in the fact that the light was powerful within her and it blinded him in a way. "I told you" He swallowed hard, he had to say it. "In Atrisia i tried to train you to defend yourself against attacks, against the evil that would eventually come to your doorstep" His words with an edge, cutting like a knife through the air. "you ignored my advice then, preferring peace and pacifism against the evil of both the Zambranos, the Galactic Alliance and the Undergoround crime syndicates" He paused, letting his words sink into her while he stood with a defiant stance. "Will you ignore me again...? Or have you, or will you let me train you to fight and kill Sith Lords and Jedi in the art of combat?" It was a straightforward question that would either make his job incredibly hard or much easier. He knew every lightsaber style, a plethora of force abilities not all of the dark side of the force. It was much easier to protect a queen that could swing a lightsaber and blast a droid into smithereens with telekinesis than one who expected her peaceful nature would disarm invaders and tyrants.
