"Apprentice? Of what?" He was a bit confused on the term and was handed a datapad. Jedi? Sith? Phoenix? Hakora had heard about all three in the Alliance, but weren't they force user groups? Hakora could not use the force so why was he studying them unless it was better to understand the enemy. Ah, that must be it. Dux Kotass, as she had told him, had offered Hakora a position as a solider among their non force user group because since a young age Hakora wanted to ride dragons and become like the Dragon Riders of Poolok and fight for peace and justice and bring order to the Galaxy. She had offered to train him as his only form of combat was swordsmanship and she believed he could learn more than that. He bowed as he had learned this was how they saluted here and went out of the chambers without a word.
He went to his chambers and began reading the codes which seemed like remembering a far off dream, but at the sametime very foreign. Three codes:
Phoenix Code:
"There is no serenity in my heart, there is only passion;
Through passion, my heart burns with a righteous flame;
There is no chaos in my mind, there is only control;
Through control, I command the righteous fire;
There is no death, there is only purification by the flame;
Through purification by the flame, I am reborn."
A few hours had passed and Hakora returned to her chambers. After being addressed to speak he recited the three codes from memory which was something Hakora had always been good with as farmers had to memorise many documents to do their job. "The problem with the Sith code is Peace is a lie. If peace is a lie then the Galaxy is doomed to a constant state of war and disorder which history has proven is wrong. The Jedi code is wrong because there is emotion in all things and emotion, though unstable and able to cause us to do wrong, it also can strengthen us like love. The problem with the Phoenix code is the mind and the heart. The mind is stated as calm and in control, while serenity means calm, peaceful, and untroubled. The mind and the heart are linked and if they are at odds where one is calm and one is not then you with have war within yourself. The Jedi code teaches enlightenment which is needed to keep us making choices that may go against emotion. The Sith Code teaches Emotion and passion which make us fight harder and longer for what we believe. The Phoenix Code takes both and harnesses as a weapon of justice." Hakora took a deep breath after talking so much and hoped he had the right answers.
