LITHIOS
Ar'ekk and Jyn's New Apartment, Upper District, Ethos City

Moving out of Aurum without Jyn and little Tefie was the hardest thing that Ar'ekk had to face for the past months, an even greater pain than what happened on Nar Shaddaa or Malachor V. Having to leave the side of what he considered his ultimate life pillars was a hard pillow he had to swallow but it had become unbearable for the man to live somewhere he didn't feel at "home".

As a child, Ar'ekk had become captivated by the sights and sounds of an ecumenopolis so great and magnificent such as Coruscant with its crowded streets, markets and landmarks at any time of the day and at any hour. After the discovery made about Lithios and the other planets of the Meissa System, deep in his heart he knew that moving over to this place was a must. Leaving his loved ones on the other hand? Would never happen.

Thankfully, Jyn decided they'd have to split time between working at Aurum and living on Lithios so they could keep seeing eachother. She and little Tefie would come over to stay with Ar'ekk for a month or less if the Je'daii required her presence urgently, so coping without their presence had become a slightly easier task to follow through with.

The Je'daii Ranger waited with great anticipation for Jyn's second arrival to Lithios after they discovered the planet two months ago and to check out their new apartment located in a more than decent (accomodated) neighbourhood of Ethos City.

When Ar'ekk had informed her of his desire to remain behind on Lithios, she had felt what she could only consider to be heartbreak.

After so many years of being apart, after the hardship they had faced and the struggles they had overcome to bring him back onto a more stable path they were to be parted once more. It was not a long journey, from Aurum to Lithios, it took an hour at most if she was pushing it to get from the fifth planet to the ninth planet in their little system on the fringes of space, a route which would no doubt become easier to travel along once the Starship division and their astrogators plotted a more direct and safer course.

It wasn't a matter of distance or time, however, it was about duty. She was beholden to the Order they served, to the Archives which required her attention, and the students who relied upon her. To say it was unfair to be disappearing constantly would be an understatement, and outside of that it wasn't fair on Tefie to be dragged back and forth on a starship for hours each day.

As Tranquility docked, and she and Tefie disembarked, she could not help but wonder just where it was Ar'ekk had chosen for them to live. Their first visit after discovering this place had left them in a hotel of sorts, but given the permanency of the situation on his end setting up roots made sense.

The thought made her miss him all the more, however, when they were apart.

The built-in alarm system notified Ar'ekk of his beloved soulmate and daughter's arrival to their "new" home and as such, he grabbed a jacket from the armoire and walked right out the door to greet them at the main hall.

Obviously, Jyn was given the exact coordinates to the apartment with early anticipation so their arrival would be as smooth as possible. Finding their way around Ethos City would not be such a headache thanks to their preparation.

The garage was luxurious, as you would expect from an apartment complex on the most accomodated side of Lithios, with many vehicles belonging to other tenants that lived there.

An elevator would take both Jyn and Tefie to the first floor where the man would be waiting near the front desk. The interior was delicately designed with soft colors, big windows to let the sunshine come through and a red velour carpet that covered the entire floor. His pacing became much more impatient by the minute, the waiting had been killing him for weeks now.

The thought of separating almost broke him entirely but he knew that being strong was the only choice left. To become the man he once used to be, the one who he hated and despised the most was out of the question. Duty called for both of them.

At the end of the day, they would all be together no matter what and nothing, literally nothing could take that away.
