CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
FERRIX, MORLANI SYSTEM
OBJECTIVE: SCAVENGER HUNT

These days, it seemed that every planet Ronhar landed on had some sort of sordid history with the Imperials of old.

Last week, it had been over the skies Lothal, engaging in a mock dogfight against the latest models of Mahporeenian starfighters. Today, it was on Ferrix, a scrapyard planet not to dissimilar from Ronhar's homeworld of Mahporeem. About a thousand years ago, Ferrix had been the site of a planetary rebellion against the ancient Galactic Empire, and from what Ronhar had understood about it, it had been particularly brutal for both sides involved. But that was all ancient history, as Ferrix was now under the control of the Mandalorian Empire. Still, Ronhar's presence here was sure to raise more than a few eyebrows, even if he and Dral-Kar'ta Saandyr Dral-Kar'ta Saandyr were making efforts to thaw relations between the Imperials and the Mandalorians.

Nonetheless, Ronhar's reason for being here was important enough to warrant the risks that his presence brought upon himself. Mahporeem Intelligence had identified an object of immense importance somewhere within the scrap fields that dotted the planet, and Ronhar and his men were determined to find it. Complicating things, besides the obvious Mandalorian presence, was the confirmed existence of smugglers, criminals and mercenaries sneaking their way onto the planet to grab the object for themselves, all under the noses of the very empire that had sworn to govern Ferrix in the Imperial's steed. Ronhar doubted that the Mandalorian authorities were aware of what was going on, and by the time they figured it out, it would likely be far too late to do anything about it.

Naturally, finding the object in question would be easier said than done, though Mahporeem Intelligence had narrowed down the locations where it could be. Hopefully, anyone not involved in what was going on would just think Ronhar was here collaborating with Dral-Kar'ta Saandyr Dral-Kar'ta Saandyr on his PB-950 project. That was Ronhar's cover story, and what he would be sticking too if anyone asked him about it. Then again, chances were anyone lurking about the scarp fields would not be there by coincidence, and in reality Ronhar was much more likely to be "greeted" by a blaster bolt than by anyone or anything else.

As the MIN Night Reaver touched down and Ronhar and his men jumped out, one thing was certain: this whole experience was bound to be a rather interesting one...

The comms frequency station (or CFS - I made an in-universe radio made from Mahporeen junk and gave Ronhar Tane Ronhar Tane permission to steal and make it on-forum, if he's so inclined) was coming in more clearly then they tended to do on many worlds far closer to the Galactic Center then this one was... Korben forgot EXACTLY where she had agreed to accompany Ronhar Tane Ronhar Tane to. The device hung by a leather strap hanging over the shoulder of one of the men who was walking just ahead of the Sciurid alien, who stuck out like an injured digit among the motley crew of junk-armored, if kindly and supportive bunch of humans who composed this particular incarnation of the Empire. They had been nothing but a friendly, if touchy lot of folks, at times. The CFS blared forth with a rather too-chipper announcer's vice as the Dug-accented voice blared forth in Basic, "And next up, we've got a most scaaaaaandalous by a most scandalous crew - maybe you've heard of it, and maybe you've not, but either way, get ready for "Opinion Mine!" by The Maverick Philosophers, only here on Junker's Paradise, your FAVORITE frequency in the Remnant!!"

Korben rubbed her temples beneath her black travel cloak's hood as the soft, slow build-up of the classical string intro began, and she closed her eyes as she made her way along, silently hoping that no one would recognize her backing vocals... She shivered, drawing her tail up under her cloak to escape the damnably chilly air that surrounded her. Couldn't at least have picked someplace warm... she thought glumly. Recalling the recording on opinion mine back on Malastare a year or so back, the Chikarri snickered: she probably had nothing to worry about, as she had had a cold that day, and due to both that fact and the editors' attempting to alter her vocals afterward, she just MIGHT be able to get away with not being recognized this time! A few paces behind, a jellyfish-like droid with dark dome hovered along behind the Chikarri's tail, spokes of metal hanging down a good foot or so away from the dome's base. PI-11 took up the rear of their little contingent, Korben's accompanying medical droid, in case anything untoward were to either encounter them or fall upon them - literally. Junkyards were notoriously unsafe, and Korben wasn't sure that the Troopers with her didn't fully understand that concept - the younger ones didn't at least.

Korben Aej had been gifted with snug, species-appropriate armor that was doing wonderfully to keep the chill to a minimum, even despite the harsh climate. A gust of wind blew and billowed the Chikarri's cloak up and backwards, making it snap in the wind as the girl held her hood in place over her head, sidling up to Ronhar Tane Ronhar Tane as she kept her gaze low, watching her armored feet clomp steadfastly over the frozen earth.

She turned to gaze up at Ronhar Tane Ronhar Tane 's armored visage, as cold as the land around them, "We're searching for scrap, I know, but..." She paused and licked over thin, furred lips, emerald eyes met his helmet's, lidded and more tired then anything else.

"Are we looking for anything in particular?"
