Special Features:

• Able to fire it's projectile at 3 mp/s due to mass-driver propulsion system(Cannon)
• Tungsten rods it fires assures that even a near miss will be harrowing due to impact damage. They may not harm, but you will notice them hit.
• Produces an ear splitting roar when fired, similar to a peal of thunder from far off
• Bolts/Bullets can puncture all but the strongest armor (Class 8 and below)
• Can pierce vehicle/tank armor with concentrated fire
• Smooth armor or flutings may redirect and reflect the projectile.
• Intertial dampeners and gyrotic stabilizers in the shoulder mount reduce recoil and improve accuracy.
• Folds up along the back next to jetpack for nearly unobtrusive storage
• Able to be slaved to fire via gauntlet control or HUD control. No manual over-ride.
• Noise mufflers to prevent damage to Ijaat's hearing
• Mini Repulsors in barrel and body of gun to reduce weight and help with recoil and stability
• Hybrid liquid-gas coolant system to keep barrel(s) from overheating
• Intense pain on shoulder when in use for more than 5 rounds.
• Firing under 5 rounds more than twice will cause small tears in rotator cuff.
• Firing for more than 50 rounds continuously will cause a dislocated shoulder and damage to the joint itself requiring medical attention

Description:
Shoulder mounted. Mass Driver. It is very smooth and rounded, on an articulated mount and limb. It is finished in copper and white to match his armor, with a round number of six barrels inset into the shroud. The system works off a linked chain of belt ammunition fed into a mass driver unit within the body of the gun. The ammo box runs along the lower part of the body and contains a healthy 300 rounds for the default ammunition.

The body of the gun is mounted in such a way, with various gyros and servos, that it has almost full 360 degree range of motion and fire arc, barring where length of the barrel would prevent positioning the gun to it. Each barrel is set within the shroud and has it's own coolant system along the path from the accelerator to the tip of said barrel, and the shroud has several small, weak repulsors to help keep the entire thing steady while firing.

Each tip of the barrel is also containing a small noise dampener to keep hearing damage off the cards due to the proximity of the weapon to Ijaats ears. Without the use of specialized equipment, the use of the A-10 system causes severe discomfort, pain, and even permanent (barring corrective surgery and therapy) damage to the user if mounted to the shoulder. This is a feature Ijaat has not yet been able to overcome, though the addition of a power armor suit should more than compensate.

Mini Repulsors in barrel and body of gun to reduce weight and help with recoil and stability

Before I begin I want to point out that this is essentially a cannon that would or should be mounted on a larger vehicle in most situations, in which cases the recoil of the cannon would generally push back the vehicle itself when using repulsorlift technology to move, as with the AAT. I'm not quite certain that a smaller version of such a cannon that fires at a faster pace would be withheld by a much smaller repulsor system with such a large amount of recoil, which in comparison to the .50 Caliber M2 Browning used as a range example above would be much greater.

I know the physics is slightly tricky. I usually try to base the range and strength off real world equivalents, but sadly there isn't a good one for this one... I could tweak it to more closely resemble a M134 than the other example (which I liked for rate of fire only), which is a minigun, but downplay the relevant factors, excepting speed of the projectile (and even that can be toned down too if need be) to fall more into line? I'm really flexible on the exact stats to be honest, since there isn't a precedent for basing the physics off of, not that i've stumbled across anyway. I was also thinking with Ijaat having the mag-locks in his boots he'd want to engaged these before firing it or some such.

More of the issue is the physical toll on the shoulder/body of whomever is firing it. The closest example we have is a shoulder-mounted particle beam laser that has minimal recoil but is still powerful enough to cause severe back pain.

I can easily edit the sub to make it so X rounds within Y time frame would cause damage to the shoulder (torn rotator cuff, dislocation, whatever is found acceptable) and that any use of it would cause some sort of severe fatigue and pain. That's an easily acceptable side effect.

Drat! You read my mind/plans! Curse you Vitium!

The idea in evolution was for him to design this, mount it to his beskar'gam and realize it wasn't suitable, and so begin a quest for a power armor for some of his toys. So it'd technically still be usable in regular mandalorian armor, but not very well...

Did some edits, let me know what you think. I'm game for flexing and amping the drawbacks if needed.
