OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To create a high explosive projectile round.
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: Thermal Imploder [X]
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High-Explosive damage
  • Moderately armor piercing
  • Battlefield scale range
  • Ignores personal shielding & deflector shields
Strengths:
  • High Explosive: This round is basically modified Thermal Imploder housed within a slug that will detonate on impact, as such it has immense damage capabilities.
  • Armor Penetrating: Due to the Turadium tip, this round can penetrate light vehicles, medium vehicles, meter thick duracrete, and other lesser materials.
  • Ripper: This round is an energy-propelled slug that ignores personal shielding and large scale deflector shields.
Weaknesses:
  • Massive: This round is gigantic and weighs a lot.
  • Volatile: If this round is struck hard enough on the head, it will detonate.
  • Expensive: Due to ever round requiring a thermal detonator and other materials, each of these rounds has a staggering cost associated with them - completely barring the less affluent from its use as well as being a high risk financial investment.
DESCRIPTION

This round was developed in order to provide an ammunition type that would wreak havoc on light and medium vehicles, devastate infantry squads, and pulverize structures. The round is a modified thermal imploder encased in durasteel and capped by a turadium tip. Unlike the standard thermal imploder, the Ram'ika round detonates on impact. Due to the modified detonation mechanism, the Ram'ika round must be handled with more care or run the risk of accidental detonation.

With this in mind, I suggest lowering the production to Limited.
