Name: 769th Breakout Company
Intent: For breakout tactics ground side, for ship to ship boarding in space and for the tactical breaching of large installations.

Affiliation: 769th Stormtrooper Corps, 769-BR Breaching Regiment, Kylath Connar Amadis, [member="Kelon Amadis"] and the OS military high command.
Availability: Limited to the 769th Stormtrooper Corps, 769-BR Breaching Regiment, containing 4 battalions of 4 companies each. A total of 2048 men.

Quality: C
Type: Infantry, Fast Attack Vehicles and Space Boarding Craft.

Strength: 128 per Company.

Description:
As per OS military structure, the company is broken down as follows:

Total Strength: 128
One Captain, leading the company of 4 platoons.
4 Lieutenants, each leading a platoon of 4 squads.
16 Sergeants, each leading a squad of 8 men, officers included.
107 Regulars
25% of which carry heavy or support weapons, often forming separate fireteams within the platoon, led by a corporal.

The 769th has been developing counters to republic troops since defending against the invasion of Balmorra, and becoming so pinned down by a superior armed, armored and importantly positioned opponent.

Their functions:
Breakout:

One of the functions for any breakout move, is to wedge yourselves in enemy lines, allowing your unit to become surrounded, then push out back to the main battle lines, thus creating temporary encirclement of opposing units from two directions or more. The companies are also very useful beachhead troops for example, establishing a forward command by pushing out to a distance while others arrive in behind, then later rejoining the main force by breaking out of any encirclement.

Successful breakout does not require breakthrough in enemy lines, it can instead be used to relieve a unit for a time of pressure, or create a weakspot for further attacks by the main force.

Breaching and Boarding

As breaching and boarding units, the 769th breakout companies are adept at entering a facility, though there are more elite troops for this certainly. There are few large scale stormtrooper regiments specialised for example to act on a citywide level, or over a super large fortified complex such as a small moon, swarm a stardestroyer on mass or other tactics. This also makes them suited for capital ship boarding, much more than for example boarding a corvette filled with Jedi. Man for man they perform better than regular troops at boarding actions, using magnetic boots for zero actions, charges for breaching actions and using jump packs for breakout on the ground.

Outside of these roles, the 769th Breakout Company is much less useful, specialised in this type of engagement.

Strengths:

Weaknesses
- Specialisation, there is a lot of things this company cannot do, no medium or heavy armored tanks, no extended fighting, fewer ranged options.
- Average Training, your average run of the mill stormtrooper.
- Some of their boarding options leave them stranded, so its win or don’t come home when in space for many of them.

Carried, either: Blaster Carbines, Ion Rifles, or MRS-1 Rifles (All Attachments and Ammo Types)
On hip, either: Jack Knife Pistols, Vibroaxes, or Vibroswords.
Jump Packs
Riot Energy Shields, either on back or in hand.
When Zero G - Magno Grip Boots

3 Grenades each.
1 x Cryoban Grenade
1 x Gas Grenade
1 x EMP Grenade

When boarding a ship, station or facing a ground installation.
Sapper Charge or a 53-R High Yield Thermite Explosive

Basic Targeting Visor, Communicator, Field Medkit with Bacta, Rationpack, Life form scanner, Climbing, Welding and Digging Tools

Fire Support Team:
Carried instead of a regular rifle, any of these:
Icebreaker
Vonginator
Plasma Cannon
EMP Pulse Launcher
PLX-1 Portable Missile Launcher

*Fire Support Teams carry no medkit, riotshield or climbing tools due to the extra weight

Sergeants, on hip.
Blastswords
Sith Energy Shield instead of riot shield

LT’s and Captains, on hip.
Force Imbued Blades
Sith Energy Shield instead of riot shield

Vehicles:

Ground:
Macau Mobile Armed Combat Unit
ATDP
With 2 operators, every company when required in a pitch ground battle, uses 8/8 of these light vehicles. 8 Light Tanks and 8 Light Walkers, making for a total of 1 platoon inside of them, or 1/4th of each company's fighting strength.

Space:
Spiral Class Assault Ship
Droch Class Boarding Ship
Any minor or major produced small OS boarding ships.

When using 6 man craft, there are 21 Boarding Craft in a Company, each with 6 men on it roughly
When using 8 man craft there are 16 in a company, each with 8 men on it roughly.

The pilots are kitted out like regulars, as they nearly always use throwaway or expendable ships and vehicles. Anything substantial would be piloted or supported from a different part of the navy and army respectively.

Good Question

I think because these are light vehicles and ships there'll be drawn from the companies own numbers. With heavier armored support or transport done by separate subs and units.

For all the listed items you have here, has the OS done any form of aquisitions or purchasing to have them available at this number? I realize that Vornskr is a part of the One Sith and your alt has provided a number of these products.

Vehicles | Gear
Everything is cannon tech except one of the light tanks, which is former sith empire now open market, and has no base of contact.
As far as I know i've never seen someone do purchase threads for cannon tech on a sub, or seen majors/minors need to do so for their units.
Its manufactured by a canon company but if you need the subbed tank swapping out its no bother to pick a cannon tank roughly the same though.

Weapons:
All the hutt tech is supplied at a low cost, as the OS has given [member="Goros the Hutt"] shelter since the cartel split, IC with hutt politics being what are!
OOC: The plot arc is he's trying to buy out Raien Keth.

The characters had a few combined threads, the first has them reference beginning to work together on projects, the second demonstrates this further.

As this is around probably 1000 custom rifles, rest being canon taking a better look at the numbers, it will be the companies biggest order but the activity here in that link should warrant it, we sold 300 units in one go, 100 in another order, and are negotiating for larger orders with the OS here:

I'm satisfied with your answer. I wasn't looking for development per say as much as the opportunity for you to think about that acquisition rabbit hole and see how far you had gone down it. A lot of these weapons seem somewhat unique (the personal shield, the blaster sword, etc.) but none of it is particularly ground breaking in combination with the other items. After all, these are NPC's and we have Vong running around with force immune armor and lightsaber resistant whips that shoot acid 10 meters out. So I appreciate you taking the time to do something different, particularly with the One Sith.
