First of the new stormtrooper regiments or divisions for faction use, suitable for breakout tactics groundside, large ship or station boarding in space and large scale tactical ground entry. The 769th has been developing counters to republic troops since defending against the invasion of Balmorra, and becoming pinned down by a better positioned opponent.
Jump capable company with packs suited to quick bursts of forward momentum. Light supporting tanks, light walkers, and small space boarding craft. They carry physically framed energy shields (riot shields) to assist in pushing forward across terrain, and melee weapons should they put themselves into melee, as well as magnetic boots for zero-G operations. Carrying blaster, iron and modular slug rifles, the company contains small fireteams with supporting heavy weapons, and each man has access to high yield explosives if needed, satchel charges if needed, and 3 grenades as standard.
From the wiki, with edits: Breakout, a breakout is achieved when an invested force launches an attack on the confining enemy forces and achieves a breakthrough, meaning that they successfully occupy positions beyond the original enemy front line, and can advance from that position toward an objective or to reunite with friendly forces from which they were separated, causing an enemy force to be hit from two directions or more. To be categorized a breakout, an invested force is not necessarily required to be completely encircled by an enemy force. Rather, they may have their movement partially restricted by a terrain feature or potentially the use of an area denial weapon such as gas. Establishing new beachheads are also a function of this unit, quickly pushing forward to then withdraw back as the beachhead is setup. Finally they need not fully breakthrough to be successful, instead relieving a pressured front or weakening a fixed point for heavier assault.
Due to how they were founded, the destruction of their families and homes at central centrax, 769th as a corps is fundamentally inspired when fighting galactic alliance regulars, and due to republic clone troopers broadcasting their desire to violate their dead memories over the GNN news, they have a special taste for taking clone blood!
