Intent: to create a hyperdrive for use in MandalTech Ships of light freighter size up to 400 meter frigates.
Development Thread:
Manufacturer: MandalTech
Model: 500 Series Hyperdrive
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: No
Production: Minor
Material: Hexophilenine, titanium-chromium compound (inner casing), Durasteel (outer casing)
Description: Based on data from Older model ships like the Besuliik which boast a .4 class hyperdrive. The team at MandalTech set out to design a hyperdrive for larger vessels than fighter size. The hyperdrive they came up with was the 500 series. The 500 series hyperdrive is larger than some older hyperdrives and has a larger energy need. The hyperdrive also is fitted with Hyperwave inertial momentum sustainers that allow it to bypass most interdiction fields when travelling through hyperspace. However, this does not allow a ship to jump to hyperspace from realspace when inside a gravity well or interdiction field. The hyperdrive is slower than the Besuliik and other fast advanced hyperdrive systems but is also fitted for craft between light freighter and frigate sizes (30 - 400 meters).

[member="Ordo"] - Mass producing a HIMS isn't something I can stamp, so either drop to Minor or cut the hyperwave inertial momentum sustainer -- or, if you like, do a massive dev thread. Otherwise, looks good to me.
