50H31
Seeker of Enlightenment
"Enlightenment is not a condition of the body, but of the spirit. Who is to say my spirit is less because it grows from artificial means? We have encountered crystals and floating clouds with wills to power--why is it so hard to believe I too am in possession of it?"

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :
The Good:
Adapt the Mind to Truth: Like most tactical droids, Five-oh's mind is quick at adapting to situations, and prone to establishing capable tactics and methods on the battlefield. He's built for war and tactics mentally, and is capable of adapting to the chaotic, shifting realities of this universe quite well.
Seek greater Wisdom: Like other TA-3's The Monk has an advanced droid brain capable of processing numerous tasks. 50-H31 is very smart, particularly in relation to close and urban combat and propaganda operations.
Finding Victory Within: For reasons unknown, Five-oh has developed an appreciation of spiritual and artistic rhetoric, having specialized in "Morale and Propaganda" as a Techno Union Officer. Five doesn't just revel in combat, he revels in artistic and meaningful victory, and he knows how to make even a Pyrrhic victory look good.
Lightening one's Burden: Due to a mixture of after market alterations and rather minimalistic designs, The Monk is both fast and enduring. He is slightly lighter and more maneuverable than his stock variations.
Removing Earthly Tethers: One of the after-market mods for Five-oh was a repulsorlift package he cannibalized form a speeder bike. He can levitate for up to twenty minutes before draining the relevant power cells.
Endure what remains: As a droid, things like breathing, jedi-mind tricks, neuro-toxins, and other things designed to attack organics specifically just roll off him.
Mastery over the self: Five-oh has some alternative weapons programming in basic unarmed combat, and has developed a form of Remote combat drone syncing to use in combat (this will be better explained in dev threads). He has a moderate proficiency in Echani combat and Teras Kasi, and some small amount of tactical knife training.
The Bad:
All things change: His loyalist and command protocols were damaged heavily in the slicing attempts (read history). He's no longer loyal to a specific government, although he could find new allegiance if he saw fit.
Hope above all else: Partially due to propaganda and partially due to raw crazy, Five-oh is often full of his own hype and a little bit optimistic about his own odds. This recklessness allows him to fight ridiculous odds, but often also leads to heavy losses.
I am beholden to my followers: While becoming a religious leader has removed his resource problem, he is no longer quite as free to do as he pleases, and is responsible for the Temple and the city of Freehold that has sprung up around it.
The Law Does Not Protect the Wise, for it is Written by Fools: As a droid, he has no legal rights.
To Sever from the Earth, One can not Cower Beneath Steel: To lower his weight and increase his speed and agility, he has lessened his armor plating slightly from stock design, making him slightly more fragile to concussive force. He did leave his shielding unit intact, however.
I am No Sorceror, Merely a Pilgrim: As intrigues as he is by the force, he cant' quantify or analyze it meaningfully. This bothers and amuses him to no end. He is wary of many Force-users, for they would brand his ideals mad at best and heretical at worst.
The Other:
I Shall Ascend: Five-oh's chief desire is to Transcend, but even he's not certain how that will happen or what it will entail.
War Isn't a Crime: Although he is no longer a professional soldier, he is by no means a pacifist.
Let us speak: Discourse, violence, and games of strategy are all the same thing in Five-oh's philosophy.
My Raiment is Mine: Like many ta-3's, The Monk wears clothing, but not a military uniform, as he has no rank.
APPEARANCE:
As shown above, The Monk is a Bi-pedal humanoid tactical droid. He has altered his face plated to appear more personable, including trappings of H'kig monks from early migrations over 300 years ago. He is frequently seen surround by a group of levitating golden remotes, which are useful to him as tools and weapons.
BIOGRAPHY:
Formerly a ranking Tactical droid and officer in the Confederacy of Independent Systems and later the Techno Union, 50-H31 was attacked by a group of slicers hired by the Omega Protectorate in an attempt to reprogram him into a sleeper agent. Unfortuantely, the override didn't fully penetrate the internal loyalty systems of the unit, and when it was initialized during the invasion of Naboo, it forced a default reset on his loyalty parameters, blank-slating him from either side of the conflict.
Injured in the ensuing cross-fire, he slowly repaired himself with scrap parts and stowed away on a ship, bouncing from place to place, trying to find purpose. He arrived on the planet Jiran VII, and spent several months with the monks there, in a monastery of little repute. Eventually, he developed the Heavenly Spheres, based on legends of Dao Jodh and his prayer beads.
He went on pilgrimage, to find enlightenment among the heavens as war unfurls about him. For a while, he served under the loosely organized confederation of forces working under the Primeval Cult. While he found the tactical work fulfilling, he did not enjoy the groups more capricious cruelty to civilians, and parted ways with the command structure after the civil war within the faction caused by Zambrano the Hutt.
Afterwards, he fled to ruins of the old Hegemonic Automaton Facility on Ord Cestus, and began a homestead there, preaching sermons to passers-by and experimenting with droid technology in the former factory. As more droids and organic sentients began squatting around him, he slowly coordinate to restore the facility into a livable city of sorts, home to thousands of droids and organics. He christened the city "66726565 686F6C64" or "Freehold" in galactic basic.
Recently, he has been given the mantle of priest-king, and his religious and governmental duties have taken up more of his time. While he wishes to expand both his knowledge and his ambition, he also realizes that leadership requires responsible and powerful governance to put in place. Thus, he now strives to fidn a new balance between his material responsibilities and his own spiritual needs.
