Dragonfyre Rounds

Consisting of a thin durasteel coating and a mild steel cup surround magnesium shards, when fired it emits sparks, flames, and white hot shards burning at about 3,000° Celsius. The round is visually impressive, similar in effect to a short range flamethrower, leaving a target covered in burning magnesium shards. The difficult to extinguish shards, emit a bright white light that is also capable of blinding nearby spectators and the victim in question. The round sacrifices range, down to about six meters in exchange for this effect.

High Explosive Round

The High Explosive Round consists of a number parts, including a bronzium jacket, a magnesium incendiary mix, a baradium high explosive charge, zirconium powder, a Duranium carbide penetrator, and a durasteel cup. It is powerful for a small 5.7X16mm round, capable of disentigrating 20cm holes into its target. It is however not devoid of drawbacks. Being so volatile means that it could be dangerous carrying large quantities of the round, also it sacrifices the standard round’s effective range, now only about 15 to 20 meters, not exactly where you want to be when fighting a tank.

Shrapnel Round
Image Here
The Shrapnel Round is an anti-personnel munition carrying large quantities of tiny individual pellets, designed to be fired close to a target and ejected over an area of about one cubic meter. While the pellets are almost completely non-lethal due to their small size, they did injure, distract, and possibly blind possible victims. The Round consists of a bronzium jacket, sixteen small durasteel pellets, and duranium cap to eject the pellets. When the duranium cap strikes a solid surface it is propelled backwards small blasting charge rod in the center of the round that launches the pellets in different directions.

So I think the first two look good.

On first look I thought this size of round is going to be a bit small for a shrapnel round. Sixteen pellets seems about the right number. Over a wide area you'd struggle to hit much and yes they'd be fairly ineffective. Perhaps a lower-yield version of the hi-ex, as a fragmentation round would make more sense?

I edited the Shrapnel round to define the "effective" area, but as far as its effectiveness, it was intended to be a crowd clearing with low fatality/serious injury type ammunition, so I am not really worried that it isn't going to be effective in true combat. I can adjust if need though.
