STRENGTHS

• Packs: A .48-caliber slug delivers quite the punch. Even if it can’t penetrate armor - and it often can - the impact can break bones, cause hemorrhaging, or even rupture internal organs in all but the more shock-absorbent armors.

WEAKNESSES

• Low Capacity: The standard magazine only holds eight slugs, far below the capacity of typical blaster pistols.
  
  
• High Recoil: Each shot has tremendous quickback, requiring some training and familiarity with the weapon to avoid inaccuracy, friendly fire, or personal injury. Suffice it to say, this is not a rapid-fire weapon in all but the most expert of hands.

DESCRIPTION

Most military sidearms go for a lightweight, high-capacity blaster pistol. But the Sith Covenant went in a different direction. After contracting Hydian-Wyl under some secrecy, the Covenant received a high-power, somewhat unwieldy slugthrower based on the Morellian .48 Enforcer - they called it the Sharpdraw.

The .48 Sharpdraw delivers high stopping power in a fairly compact package for what it is, giving Sith troopers a lethal backup option in close-to-mid range encounters. Some soldiers may simply prefer the weapon as their first choice when fighting indoors, or through tight streets. Regardless, the weapon is composed of fewer parts than a standard blaster, giving it excellent reliability with low maintenance. But the weapon is not without its trade-offs. It is loud, punchy, and low-capacity, requiring some training and familiarity to use it effectively.
