Model: 3M4H-03-X3
Affiliation: Salem Norongachi
Modularity: None
Production: Unique
Material:Circuits, etc
Description:
Emah was created by the brilliant minds at Aratech Repulsor Company, and as the wiki says “BRTs were quite possibly the most advanced supercomputers ever constructed. They were designed to operate on a planetary scale, capable of being hooked into millions of networks and mainframes. Its consciousness was generated by a supercomputer that takes the space of an average-sized room, and was typically more powerful than the entire combined networking system of most Outer Rim Territories worlds” it was designed to be the pinnacle of computer technology.

Emah went through many owners over the course of her 900 year life before falling into the hands of Salem Norongachi in 23ABY. Having recently acquired an Imperial Star Destroyer but not having the sufficient crew to man her, Norongachi in conjunction with techs and engineers from his network of contacts began the process of installing Emah aboard the Hand of Fate. She would eliminate the need for a flesh and blood crew, having been wired and hooked into every system aboard the ship. Her core, or physical shell, was housed in a central “vault” in the depths of the Star Destroyer.

After the events that lead to Norongachi’s arrival 700 years in the future Alli Wren and Baktoid took up the task of restoring Emah and the Hand of Fate to full functionality. Over the course of which the A.I’s housing was upgraded as well as her processing power by roughly 45%.

Emah can’t access anything outside the Hand of Fate, data only flows one way when it is needed such as the Holonet or information from the CIS data banks. This data is obviously heavily scrutinized by the A.I who possesses adaptive anti-intrusion systems capable of detecting, isolating and eradicating invasive code or slicing attempts, even after which all data must pass through a series of firewalls and gateways to actually reach her core and corrupt her system, should it contain any nasty surprises.

The only occasion where Emah could project herself beyond the Hand of Fate is through a stringent series of measures; vocal recognition, retina scans and DNA scanners. All of which are keyed specifically to Salem Norongachi and no other. This is to prevent the A.I from ever escaping the ship and dispersing out into the holonet or other systems she might access.

While the use of QQ-543N/53R Cap Drain Module’s keeps the brunt of electrical attacks away from the A.I and there is a heavy focus of them around her central core, a series of circuit breakers are also in place. Should a surge of such a magnitude be detected that could fry the fragile mechanisms of her BRT Supercomputer they will automatically sever all connections.

While protecting Emah this will disable the entire ship with the exception of very basic systems (See Hand of Fate sub), as she would have no control over any of the systems until the breakers were reset by either human hands or the various droids she utilizes for repair and maintenance of the Fate. Given the sheer volume of networking that went into this level of automation, this could take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.
