25 Percent (Azalus)

CORUSCANT

A stolen speeder slid into a back alley, completely silent. In the fiery light that filled the streets of Coruscant by night, its black paint seemed to shine orange.
The craft had belonged to an Ithorian three days earlier, but now a Rodian sat in one of its ragged leather seats. Coincidentally, the Ithorian was still with him; one meter behind, sealed in an unmarked black bag. He was starting to smell, and said Rodian was regretting not disposing of him earlier. Still- it was too late now. The speeder would serve its purpose today, and then tomorrow it'd be sold off for scrap halfway across the planet. This Rodian was Shakes.
He was waiting for his to-be companion for tonight, one 'Azalus.' Admittedly, he'd never met the man, but the Hutt who'd given him the job in the first place had promised he was good, so Shakes took his word for it.
As much as he wouldn't dare admit it, he was experiencing some pre-job nerves- Shakes was shaking.

To return some calm to the situation, he lit a cigarra- its dull glow filled the speeder with a grim light as he waited.

Cling. Clang. Cling. Clang.

The sound of spurs was a rare one nowadays. Mostly because no one used horses or other animals to ride nowadays, instead they have speeders, starships and all that good stuff. So why would someone wear them, you might ask. Easy, have you ever gotten kicked by the back of a boot that had spurs on them? No? Well, lucky you, because those things hurt more than a gundark crushing your leg. They're perfect for acrobatic and dirty melee fighting, exactly the thing the wearer of the boots was good at. Fighting dirty would be that man's second name, if he had one, but the only word he's known by is the Huttese word Azalus. It was a fitting name, after all Azalus was quite dangerous to Hutts, having taken out one of their smaller cartels on Tatooine once. He was mostly either hated or loved by them, depending on the individual Hutt's stance towards the killed Hutt, though he did get hired by them easy enough. That was because of a lack of Bounty Hunters and Mercenaries nowadays. Everyone's either a super nice space magician or an evil sadistic madman, with magic.

So it was a bit of a surprise to find out he wouldn't be going on the mission alone. It wasn't a bad one though, a helping hand is always appreciated, especially when it's about doing a robbery on one of the galaxy's most secure planets, Coruscant. Luckily though, he was only there to blow up some stuff, for that he was walking towards a spaceport where a speeder filled with explosives was supposed to wait. The speeder was of course not brought there by Azalus, he had merely contacted one of smaller gang on Coruscant to fill the thing with explosives and leave it there and so they did, at least that's how it seemed to be. What explosives and how many were in the speeder, was unknown to Azalus, but that didn't matter. He'd just steer the thing into some building and jump out before it collided with the front of the unlucky building. That was, after all, his only job.

A quick glance at the speeder's clock told Shakes it was time to roll.
The speeder made an unhealthy-sounding noise, and in seconds he was speeding for his destination; as he drove he was particularly mindful of the fact that beneath his seat was a case filled with enough explosives to say, blow open a bank vault.
He didn't want to bump into anything.
Fifteen minutes and he'd made his way to the bank. Another three and he'd unpacked, loaded and otherwise prepared the small arsenal he'd been given by the Hutt- add a mask that did little to disguise the fact he was a Rodian and a rather cheap-looking armoured vest, and he was ready, rucksack full of high explosive and ammunition included.

All he needed to do now was wait for his companion to complete his part of the task.

Once he was at the Speeder, he got in, started the damned thing and flew off. His target, he wasn't sure yet. He wanted to cause some major destruction and get as much attention as possible, to distract from the robbery that's going to go down at some bank. This won't be too hard to do, since Azalus already had something in mind. The best way to get attention from Coruscant's Security Forces is to attack them directly, in form of a security station. He'd attack a small one, kill off any remaining security personnel and then run off with a stolen speeder to meet the guy who's doing the robbering.

And so he was flying through the air of Coruscant and admiring the view. There were reparations going on everywhere and he even saw a couple piles of graves from all the fighting that had been going on only a couple weeks prior to this day. He had to say, the Sith did a mighty fine job of killing the Jedi and their Forces, though that didn't earn them any more sympathy from Azalus. He still hated Sith, Jedi and everything in between equally. It was a sort of lifestyle of his, since he never believed in any of their philosophies. The only thing he admired about the Sith was their brutality and the carnage they could unleash, but then again, Azalus was different than most people, he actually enjoyed killing people, rather than protecting them or saving their lives.

Then he saw his target. A small security station located not too far away from the bank, but also not too close. It was the perfect place to strike to cause maximum damage and confusion, he had to be quick and efficient though. It was important to not let anyone live and then to escape quickly, so that no one would see where he was going. After a couple more minutes of flying he was finally there. He flew extra low, so as to be able to jump off without injury and then set the course of the speeder directly into the building. Then, about 10 meters away from the station, he opened the cargo hold a bit, jumped off and once the thing broke through the glass front, he sent a shot after it so it could detonate the explosives, which it did.

Then the station lit up in a glorious explosion of fire and death. "Aw, that's just beautiful." Azalus said once he landed, wiping away a fake tear on his mask.

Shakes leaned forwards, highly sensitive ears pricking up as he heard a distant crash. Just to be safe, he waited for a few more seconds, opening the door of the speeder. He heard screams, wild confusion.
There wasn't a better sound in the world.
With a thump he hit the ground, shoulder barging the door away and making for the bank- exactly as planned, all attention was focused elsewhere. As quiet as one might manage, the glass doors of the establishment melted away with a single blast from a scattergun; boots trod on the searing hot remains. Alarms blared, but they were insignificant- there was no staff in the building at this hour, and all security'd been diverted thanks to Azalus. Now all Shakes needed do was make his way to the vault and take the money--

A pair of security droids rounded the corner, armed to the teeth.

"Intruder detected. Lethal force will be employed."
