Porro mulled over the possibilities. He had decided against the casino at the beginning of the night for fear that his manner of gambling might scare off a potential date. As he got to know Vaux a bit more he guessed that they could have a good time at the tables a place like this had to offer. At the same time however, Porro didn’t tend to win as often as he lost. And the funds spent on gambling recently had been scaled back so that he could finish off the work on the Gambit. For as long as the current sound was playing however, Porro kept his hands on her back and their bodies close together for as long as he could until finally the song came to an end and he took a step back. One hand fell to the side while the other moved to hold onto Vaux’ hand.

”In the pamphlet for the ship, I read that they have quite a few dining options. There is also the casino and the Stargazing Galley that was called out in the Zinder suggestions,” Porro led Vaux from the dancefloor back towards the bar area, not wanting to get in the way of those who were still trying to dance.

”Finishing up the Gambit has put a limit on what I can afford to gamble. If you have interest in stargazing I would certainly accompany you, but my attention would be on you, not the stars.” It wasn’t just a clever line that Porro hoped would gain him favor. Porro loved flying through the stars, but the sights were not the excitement for him. He would much rather stare at Vaux and watch her face react to the stars above, if that was something that would interest her.

”I can always eat as well. If dancing has built up a hunger for you,” Porro continued. That was the boring option in his opinion. But while they ate there was an opportunity to continue to learn more about each other and where this thing could go beyond this night.

”The Gambit in her current state is in the hangar of the ship,” Porro smiled. He continued to stress that his ship was not complete, but in truth he was pretty proud of what he had done. And didn’t shy away from showing off. Especially with someone who knew ships. It was true that the Gambit wasn’t ready to be thrust into action, but a short time ago it wasn’t even a complete hull and now it was completely space worthy. Even if it required an astromech to travel through hyperspace.

After a wide smile Fomys noticed a degree of nerves in Vulpesen’s expression. She had no idea that he was a highly recognizable person on his planet. And that wasn’t anything that would make him any more or less attractive as a potential partner to Fomys. She would probably be described as a simple girl with a less than simple job, but her mind was always excited by intrigue. Being a part of something bigger was certainly something that she would not hesitate to jump head first into. Especially if there was the added intrigue of a handsome fellow to go along with it.

She gave a pleasant smile and a nod when Vulpesen mentioned that they could perhaps walk to the bar for the next drink. As she took a sip of her own drink her eyes followed the miniature wolf for a bit before returning to Vulpesen, and hearing the explanation of Ace. ”Perfect size for sneaking,” she responded with a giggle. Fomys had a pet Tooka when she was younger, but she had a feeling Ace was a bit more than a pet to Vulpesen. That was confirmed with the next statement. ”I should have known there was a Force thing going on between you. Seemed like you were silently talking to him.”

The statement that Ace and Vulpesen being in the same place made things “clearer” made Fomys think for a moment. ”So will Ace bond to someone who isn’t gifted in the Force?” she questioned curiously. ”I doubt it could ever be the same. But I hate to think that I might have to try to come between the two of you if he views me as competition.” She laughed a little at the tease. Vulpesen had claimed to have known love before. Fomys didn’t know how old Ace was, or how long they had been together, but based on this first date, she would bet that there had been other people in Vulpesen’s life at the same time as Ace.

Vulpesen chuckled and offered a small shake of his heat at her first assumption. "Actually, our bond has nothing to do with the force. Ashlan wolves usually bond with Ysalimiri, or the occasional vornskr." He shook his head when she posed her question, however, though his lips did hold a wide smile. "Ace wouldn't bond with another because he's bonded to me. But another wolf could certainly bond to a non-force sensitive like yourself. As for coming between us," he looked up to the bar where Ace was sitting proudly besides a filled glass, his tail wagging. It had taken some work, but he had managed to climb into the barkeeps view to deliver the note, "I wouldn't worry about that. He rather likes you." He lifted a hand and after forming a barrier around the top of his drink, quickly floated into his waiting palm.

Lifting the drink to his eyes, his smile persisted as one of satisfaction, the amber liquid containing a bright red fruit and a peel of citrus around a large cube of ice. "I suppose that's one of the side effects of us being able to constantly read each other's minds. Our opinions tend to be the same in most matters. No need to argue when you can literally share the thought process that leads to your answer."

The pilot smiled, listening to the options. It all sounded fun really, and a blush would hit her cheeks when Porro noted he wouldn’t be staring at the stars. She also didn’t really mind if his ship wasn’t finished. Her Viper still needed a lot of work too after all. Then there was the casino, which could also be a good time if either of them struck on some luck. She thought for a moment, looking back at Porro as she finished her drink.

“I mean, it all sounds fun. A little gambling, or a little not focusing on the stars.”
