Description:
The 1st Experimental Assault Platoon is the brainchild of an ancient man by the name of General Rom Mohc. The project stems back into the Galactic Civil War era, in the ages where the Galactic Empire was researching and experimenting on their Stormtroopers to finally perfect humanity to its fullest extend and weaponize said humans. While they were far from perfect, they managed to create one of the most advanced and elite variants of stormtrooper that the galaxy had ever seen - Dark Troopers.
While the project had largely been untouched for centuries, the First Order's Science Division has commissioned a single unit of them. This singular platoon is much different from their archaic brothers, though they're all various clones of male human specimens and were both genetically and cybernetically modified to become the perfect instruments of war. Numbering at thirty eight strong, the 1st EAP is commanded by newly commissioned Lieutenant Kalius Aegrus and is tasked with destroying enemies of the First Order, both foreign and domestic, by utilizing the most extreme forms of lethal force available. As far as the rest of the Imperial Military is concerned, this is just an experimental unit used for research purposes and to test the effectiveness of the Science Division's newest lab rabs.
In terms of training and equipment, the 1st EAP has received the best in both fields. Having a lifetime's worth of training, each and every Dark Trooper has the skills needed to operate a multitude of weapons systems and vehicles, respective maintenance procedures, and knows how to kill mortal beings with extreme prejudice. War is all they know and thankfully the First Order hasn't asked them to be the best at anything else just yet. It is worth noting the various cybernetic enhancements that each Dark Trooper now sports: Cardio-Muscular packages, Hi-sense enhanced eyes, Hifold sensory packages, and nervous system upgrades.
Equipment-wise, the Dark Troopers of the 1st EAP sport aesthetically modified AV-1A assault armor systems as their primary form of protection. Their secondary layer came in the form of a tight-fitting thinsuit that was implemented solely for the purpose of lengthening their lifespan should egress from their primary armor system be required. All Dark Troopers also carry the standard issue military mobility shield for an added layer of protection against energy-based weapons. And finally, their primary weapons are the CZ-837 LMG or the Judge SAW for ranged weapons and an Echani vibrosword for close quarters engagements.
Having long since seen the horrors of wars and defunct empire that the First Order strives to be, the 1st EAP were infiltrated and offered a chance to serve a superior cause. Stealing a small vessel to carry them all, many of the platoon defected from the First Order save for a large portion of the third squad.
