1st Expeditionary Strike Brigade

The Expeditionary Strike Brigade is a test trial model of a culmination of different organizational lineages which push for a military formation centered around expeditionary warfare. While in this day and age the idea of expeditionary is a little confusing as seemingly all military units are capable of this the ESB is much more devoted to being part of the Republic’s ability to project force, respond for defense, and strike as needed. The ESB is built up of four core elements that form a balanced orbital-aerial to ground combined arms task unit.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of all species, you have chosen to take up arms in the name of the Republic. You have sought a path to defend your home worlds, to protect and hold liberty and justice above all. Soldiers and Warriors welcome to the Expeditionary Strike Brigade. We shall respond to the call of war against those who would seek to tear down civilization. They shall hear our voices as we bellow the cry we've held so deeply that unites us. For the Republic!" - General Kista Fel

Force Organization
The ESB is built up of four elements. Those elements are the Command Element, Ground Combat Element, Aviation Combat Element, and Logistics Combat Element.

Command Element
The Command Element consists of a Headquarters and its Staff that exercises command and control over all elements of the ESB. While the Headquarters and Staff direct all elements that fall under their respective areas of command the HQ is supported by a company capable of performing military police actions, along with special reconnaissance units, and special detachments assigned to support the brigade's mission.

A regiment of three infantry battalions form the landing teams for the GCE. Each battalion is its own organically self unit. Trained to perform independently from the brigade on detached duty if necessary. The GCE contains combat support units of armored companies, artillery batteries, reconnaissance, and combat engineer companies. Further more each battalion contains their

A minimum of three infantry battalions are what make up the minimum strength necessary for an ESB to conduct its expeditionary mission. Working organically with its although smaller in number of personnel makes up for it in use of machines.

Aviation Combat Elements bring the void and air power to the ESB. This includes all starcraft capable of space and atmospheric flight that support the ESB by providing close air support and transport form the ground combat elements and logistic combat elements. The primary roles for the ACE are: assault support, anti-air/space warfare, offensive air/space support, electronic warfare, control of air/spacecraft and missiles, aerial/orbital/space (AOS) reconnaissance. The units that make up the ACE are organized into two wings along with support groups and squadrons. All pilots, flight officers, and enlisted crew are part of this element.

With the reliance on the ACE the LCE is primarily responsible for the following missions: Orbital to surface delivery, Aerial delivery, EOD, and landing support teams. While units in the GCE tend to have their own logistical support from within they work interwoven with the LCE to ensure that supplies and replenishment is efficient and effective.
