At Peace
Aola fired back at their pursuers but Shai didn't care about that now. They needed to get out of here as quickly as possible. "Like I said, they can be good business partners as long as you don't piss them off!" she hollered over her shoulder as she drew her pistol and fired a stun round at a nearby soldier. The less damage she did now, the more she could salvage her relationship with them later.
Thankfully they arrived at the ship, but Shai didn't stop. "The kark you stopping for?! Come on!" she shouted at them as she stood in the doorway, firing at some guards coming at them. Once they were all on board, Shai rushed to the cockpit and started the ship up. soft thudding echoed through the ship as blaster bolts hit the hull. Though at least they didn't do much other than scratching the paint. Shai flipped switches and started the ship up. The scanners quickly pointed out the incoming vessels. "Aola, I need you on the shields. Get them online like I explained. Buckle up, kiddies. This is gonna be a bumpy ride." she ordered Aola as the ship started to take off.
She hit the throttle and the ship blasted forward. Leaning hard on the controls, shai swung the freighter around and flew in the opposite direction. The ships were getting closer and closer. Cannon bolts zipped past them with some scoring a hit. A shudder rocked the ship as the shots impacted. "Divert more power to the rear. Tauss, can you work gun controls on a ship?" she asked the massive being as she swerved all over the place to avoid getting hit. She spotted a bunch of jagged peaks and massive trees, giving her an idea. "Hold on!" she called out, diving the ship straight to the ground. At the last minute, she pulled up and yanked the controls back and forth as she avoided the trees and rocks narrowly.
She was nervous but she held her focus. As long as Aola could regulate the shields, they would be fine. She took a hard turn and flew between two mountain peaks. To her satisfaction a blip disappeared on the scanner, bringing a smirk to her face. "One down!" she quipped.
