Charting new Paths
James considered crushing what remained of the woman's skull under his boot--but thought better of it. Instead he moved and called in the shuttles to help move these former prisoners out of this hellhole they had been in. When the hours of moving the beings off the ground into the shuttles was done, the sun was beginning to rise over the horizon.
James shook the exhaustion from his body and gave Gray a slap on the back, "Good work, mate. Lot of lives saved today. Very successful."
The spacer stepped onto the last shuttle out of the world and onto one of the capital ships in orbit. A few moments later they were in hyperspace on their way to Soceras once more. The spacer trudge into his bedroom and crashed on the bed, quickly falling asleep.
