1 Million Credit Combat Tournament Round 2: Rhaeon Starburn vs Ar'ekk Daesharacor

Iridonia
Combat Tourament
med_1447550864_image.jpg

The screams coming from the crowd were entertaining for the young warrior he had fought his battles but never on a scale such as this. The world of iridonia ,mostly inhabited by the strong willed Zabrak species whose love for dueling rivaled his own . This would be a real challenge that would show the spectators what he was made of . This tournament was to start hand to hand but as the fight would progress random weapons would be used.

He had been in the waiting room cracking his fingers , waiting for the Referee to announce his name thinking who he would be up against , Only having taken a quick glimpse of the stadium in its entirety only knowing there had been enough space for fluent movement which his fighting style heavily relied on. Strategies raced through out his mind, one by one making his stomach turn from the anxiety . Finally his mind had switched to something else to focus on the Announcer finally began to speak.

"Ladies and Gentlemen from all over the Galaxy let me introduce one of our first contenders He's a bit young some may call him a kid but don't let that fool you he is quite the spitfire and a bit of a surprise we have a mandalorian in our midst give it up for Rhaeon... Starburn!!!

He began to walk ,Unhooking his hilt and giving his sword to one of the guards to hold onto. "Don't play with that it's sharp" saying sarcastically The light had shun in his face when entering through the doors to the arena . The Crowd's uproar had been enough to bring a wide eyed grin to his face all notions of nervousness had been swept away when hearing his own name . He began to walk to the center of the stadium observing the crowd of horned spectators looking to see a show.

Rhaeon, standing at the center of the coliseum ,The announcer then began to call for the opponent .

The real challenge would come today.

Sweatbeads dripped down Ar'ekk's forehead as he warmed up before the fight against this new opponent whose name would not be revealed until the two of them were inside the arena, ready to fight for the next spot in the tournament. The Knight had the experience and skill to take any opponent regardless of their abilities, having taken part in a war where death was the every day occurance.

Mandalorians didn't frighten him at all, having fought against assassins and bounty hunters in Nar Shaddaa during his tenure as a crime lord working for Gorba the Hutt and his Bareesh Kajidic. Nicknamed "The Champion of the Kajidii" for tearing down his opponents and showing no mercy in duels back in the day, Ar'ekk gained a reputation among the four-side rings.

His name was called out by one of the guards standing outside the locker room where the man was warming up in,

"It's your turn, guy. Come on, they are waiting for you."

The lights went from bright to dimly lit as Ar'ekk walked towards the arena, wrapping both of his hands with bandages. His knuckles were protected and ready to throw punches, limiting the pain and bleeding when the time came. The fight was going to be one against one, no weapons until they decided it was time. Personal, up close. Just like he liked it.

"And now, for the next contender. Known as "The Champion of the Kajidii" in the Smuggler's Moon, reputation that preceeds him as one of the deadliest men alive and also veteran of Malachor V... Ar'ekk Daesharacor!"

The person behind the megaphone and his voice echoed throughout the arena as the public howled and threw things at the warrior, spewing insults that you wouldn't even dare to reproduce for anyone to hear. Handing over his crossguard lightsaber to one of the people in charge of the tournament, Ar'ekk made his way to meet with Kid.

He knew the young man, a Je'daii Journeyer with a bright future but lacked the experience of battle. A decent opponent overall who would love to prove himself tonight, that's for sure. Never underestimate your enemy, someone wise once said. It was only smart to listen and understand that advice.

From the corner of his eye, the man saw [member="Jyn Lorr"], [member="Sargon Vynea"] and the little [member="Atefeh Lorr"] watching from the stands in one of the private/VIP areas. He had to deliver that night, for the sake of the show.

The wind howled from within the arena making his hair blow wildly , small sediments being uplifted from around the coliseum blaring voices could still be heard over the rows of crowded seats filled with offworlders and the planets inhabitants. You could either hear one of two things , cheering and enjoyment or yelling which sounded like curses being said all in their own respective languages .

Rhaeon had come face to face with his opponent surprised by who it had been [member="Arekk"], the both of them sharing the same order but one evidently had more experienced as shown by his age and constructed lightsaber. Hearing his titles he had earned from impressive feats no less made him quite cautious of him they may have been comrades but he wouldn't be shaken by him, he would stand tall in the face of it all .

The Atmosphere was lively, reminiscent of his homeworld the scraps he would get into with his people evident by the long scar down his chin. The roughness of his upbringing had shaped him, each cut and black eye had taught him the basics of fighting, never to be fearful once you were scared the fight would already be lost. Before the fight would soon begin ,he had walked forward starting some banter before the fight could lift the spirits of the both of them and make the fight a bit more entertaining .

"See the way they make it seem its as if i'm fighting the strongest man in the galaxy sure your skills haven't dulled a bit Ar'ekk .......anyways hope its a good one"
laughing a bit but also offering to bump fist as a pre fight ritual a sign of respect ., Returning back to the previous side of the coliseum he had originally been standing .

Hearing the megaphone restart signifying the beginning of the tournament.
" If i may have your attention please draw your eyes to the center of the ring , We have a match in store here we hope you all here would enjoy ,To the left I give you a painted war veteran vs the young prodigy . The match begins in 3.....2.....1!!!

"Good luck."

That was it.

One simple lighthearted comment to wish his opponent the best during this duel. For a man like Ar'ekk, duels like these meant that your honor and respect were put in the line and you'd have to fight with your teeth to defend what you have. Regardless of the opponent or foe, victory was the only answer.

He responded to the fist bump by returning the gesture, out of respect.

By removing his leather jacket to reveal a naked torso full of scars, like a walking war painting, plus the cybernetic arm covering the entirety of one side of his body, the man prepared for the skirmish by getting lighter in terms of gear. Only what you take with you.

"Fair fight, gentlemen!"

His hands turned into balled fists as he took an immediate defensive stance, keeping a safe distance from Kid. Giving the initiative to the young man was key for his plan, the first attack and counter could be the most important strategy to win this duel.

His feet moved armonously throughout the arena as he shifted sides and moved back and forth from Kid's reach.

Ar'ekk waited for the first blow to be delivered.

He was quite aware of what the picture of war was and by the look of it had seemed as if [member="Arekk"] had seen it himself . Battles leave scars some you can't see ,but here his were clearly visible. The deep slashes covering most of his body , while an entire arm had been cybernetic-ally replaced This lead him to believe he truly wasn't a bluff and how his titles had been earned honestly.

Rhaeon knew who he was, and how he was just beginning to make something of himself. though his skills were still unprepared for the rest the galaxy had to offer , he had heart and that made up for most of his shortcoming. The spirit and tenacity he was known for would be shown today , He was ready to start the tournament . Seeing Ar'ekk take the defensive showed that he would have to be the one to strike first to really start the match .

Whispering battle talk to psych himself up " Its fight or flight right about Now , I am a Mandalorian we know ,no defeat"

And with that the earth began to hit is feet , running swiftly towards the knight seeing him pace himself around the arena. All planning made from the short moments before the fight had disappeared . Rhaeon was strictly running on instinct, Each step closing the gap between the two, until they were in arms reach.

"AAAAAAAARGHHHH" Roaring to get the crowds cheer on his side

Thinking quick on his feet , he unhooked his cloak from around his neck throwing it towards Ar'ekks face and then to out manuever him he would take a sidestep to the left keeping him off guard and thinking . Making his movement clear he would attack with a barrage of punches to the face seeing what is opponent might do to counteract against the flurry of attacks....

Confidence poured from the man's body language and he showed no fear towards Kid.

However, the young Journeyer played dirty by throwing his coat Ar'ekk's way in a pitiful attempt to catch him unaware of his intentions. The Knight was quick enough to react and get out from harm's way.

Kid threw a plethora of punches his way which he deflected in time, grabbing the young man's wrist with his cybernetic hand and twisting it. Quickly releasing the grip, Ar'ekk regained his defensive stance but this time moving around his opponent to make himself a much more difficult target to hit.

Bending down to touch the cold sand beneath his feet, the Knight grabbed a pinch of it and held it inside his balled fist.

His eyes followed Kid's every movement, reading his body language and maneuvers to anticipate the attacks properly. Ar'ekk had the instinct and experience to follow through his fight and make sure the damage done to himself was kept to a minimum.

No words were uttered by the man, unnecessary for a situation like this.

The booth blocked out most of the noise of the crowd for the as Sargon focused on the matches going on across three worlds. It was still a bit of shock to him to see the company forming up and actually getting matches running, a fair few even quite exciting. Of course on paper the chances looked great, but until something was working in action it was all just theory. He'd been a bit surprised though [member="Jyn Lorr"] had asked to come watch the match with him, pleasantly surprised, but surprised none the less. She hadn't ever shown him much inclination for enjoying the move violent entertainments of life, it was nice though to share this moment of success with her.

At that moment the buzzer went off overhead as the randomized chances just went in someone's favor. A pair of leather gloves were dropped a dozen paces from the fighters, hardened at both the knuckles and the palms it would be a good step off if someone could get them. It was also one of the more minor pieces, but he supposed that would keep the match even for a bit longer. The match could change quickly though once some of the bigger weapons came out, of course if you could hold out and keep on the move the next cycle might even it out again. It was a definitely a favored match among the betting public. The question was would [member="Arekk"] or [member="Kid Starburn"] get the edge first.

Shifting his eyes up to check on the other matches he brought them to Jyn's guest, "So, who's our little friend here? Another member of the Order?"

[member="Atefeh Lorr"]

"AUUGH"

All he felt was utter pain jolt to his right wrist , drawing back when the cold steel of the mechanical hand had twisted it. If he wasn't ambidextrous he wouldn't be able to wield his sword for weeks , the injury would leave his right jabs a tad softer than usual. His first attempt had backfired and he had dealt with its consequence stepping back he watched his opponent quite carefully , his calm demeanor not even fazed by the sequence of punches.

If i he was going to come out of this with less bruises he would hope for he needed a plan he thought .Remembering all his skills he had acquired from the past years, he then switched to echani style tier 2 poses not wanting to use as much stamina this early into the fight. Waiting patiently to see what trick he would do, keenly eyeing the sand balled in his fist.

Hearing in the background the megaphone announcer describing the fight to the crowd as it went on, embarassment spread across his cheeks.
"The fighters have made their moves the youngster had tried against the war vet and felt its backlash , that wrist looks quite out of commission maybe he can turn it around to work in his favor"

Usually Rhaeon was better composed and calm but his mandalorian traits resurfaced in him. Impatience and hotheadedness had gone hand in hand ,sometimes even getting the best of him . This being one of its moments, He began rushing towards [member="Arekk"] with one agile step at a time moving towards him ,crouched aiming the uppercut right to his jaw.

Grunting "I'm gonna put that arm where the twin suns don't shine" Mostly the pain and anger talking .....

Kid had courage to come up to Ar'ekk and attack him just like that again, he respected that. It showed him that his opponent had guts as opposed to the other scum he fought against in Nar Shaddaa.

His crouching blow aimed at his jaw hit one of his elbows considering both of his arms were covering his face, another failed attempt to strike the Knight with a deadly swing, taking damage from this courageous movement would've signified a cold knockout.

Tightening the grip on his fists and still holding onto that sand, he quickly threw it towards Kid's eyes in an attempt to phase or blind him and find and opening to strike.

His feet aimed to hit Kid's lower side as he crouched underneath the man, that would hopefully put him out of balance for a quick second although he could escape after the first hit.

Ar'ekk continued to look at his opponent with fiery eyes, defiant ones at that too. His experience in true battle would give him the upper hand on this duel but he knew that underestimating Kid could be his demise, that's why his attacks were composed and not rushed unlike the young Journeyer's Echani style.

Mandalorians were known to be hotheaded but deadly at the same time.

The fast acting defense led him to feel considerable amount of pain. It now traveled from his right wrist to now the left "Gaah" , the strike was done quite sudden and brash on his part, The feeling of bare knuckle meeting metallic elbow made him want to howl in pain but quickly stopped himself by biting down on his lip.

Rhaeon severely needed to think about his next move before this fight was too far gone, but before he could lay out a plan of attack . The grains of sand that had been curled in [member="Arekk"] fist were thrown towards him, trying to shield his eyes with his more mobile hand. While looking down to do so, he saw the fast incoming blunt kick aimed at his hip from the knight .

The massive crowds grew louder each time a move was met with a skillful action .The more the tournament progressed , the more the crowds colors showed ,no true side was shown yet ,even if it seemed as if earlier it was starting to get one-sided.
"Destroy the child" "Finish the has been" "Where's the weapons I paid to see blood "!!!!

Ar'ekk had attacked just as quickly as Rhaeon did earlier in the fight,He had to give it to him he was impressive. The veteran's reflexes moved as if he had seen the many styles of fighting the galaxy had offered. His hands may be injured but his body was maneuverable , able to evade the staggering blow by rolling under his opponents leg.

"I've got you now!!!"

Having a clear view of the left side of his body he was free to move where ever the arena stretched. But instead of the calm retreat , to backtrack and plan .His stubbourness led him to attempt to get at least a few hits in. Rehearsing the combo in his head before demonstrating it for real . Left mid kick to body then right straight jab and then palm to face It was all or nothing he then hurled his combo at Ar'ekk wondering what he would do to manage...

Sat within the booth alongside [member="Sargon Vynea"] Jyn fixed her eyes upon the two combatants with a curious grin upon her lips. Not toward the violence, no, Jyn didn't really have a violent bone in her body, moreso at the ludicrousy of it all. Who would have thought she would see her lover and her student pitting it out in so serious a duel? One where reputation and money was at stake? Certainly not her.

It helped too, of course, that she sat alongside Sargon. The Zabrak was as close to a Father figure as she had ever really known, and being able to see his vision come to life while sitting here beside him was very fulfilling to say the least. He did not know that she held relations to the pair beyond their affiliation with the Je'daii, perhaps it was time to change that.

First, though, he asked about [member='Atefeh Lorr']. Jyn reached out and gently settled a hand upon the young girl's shoulder, smiling in pride before she looked to her dear friend.

"This is Atefeh. Stardust this is Sargon. Say hello."

She gave the girl a moment, before letting out a loose shrug.

"She is my daughter. I adopted her from Dromund Kaas. You're a little young to be a Grandpa, but all the same I suppose in a way you are now."

Her grin became much larger with those words, and she rested her head against the Zabrak's arm while watching the initial rumblings of the fight down below.

"You know, I never expected I'd see my boyfriend fight my student like this. It's strange..." What a way to drop that bombshell, perhaps it wasn't the best time to do so given that their fates were now within Sargon's hands, but she couldn't help but spill the truth to Sargon. He was her whole reason for existing in one piece. He was the one who had saved her from the curse.

Ar'ekk paid the price of his rushedness attempt at dealing a striking blow to Kid with his leg, being quickly outmaneuvered and punched on one side where it really did hurt him. Gladfully, he was able to parry out the punch coming towards his face because otherwise that would've been bad enough for the fight and himself. He was able to take a few jabs but taking one this early? Not a chance.

Grimacing in slight pain and moving backwards, the Knight adopted a much more offensive style but still adopting some defensive techniques to counter Kid's movements. He was fast and liked to improve, not bad at all. The show had to end however and he was ready to finish this soon enough.

Not yet, the people roared for blood and weapons albeit it was too early for that. Maybe throw a couple of punches for the next five minutes.

Taking a couple of steps forward to get up close and personal with Kid, the man lounged towards the young Journeyer in an attempt to rock him off his feet and onto to the ground where he could pin him down.

If he were to be successful to this maneuever, he'd hold Kid by the throat while on the ground but without punching him. Metallic hand grabbing his neck, almost squeezing. Taking the arm wouldn't even move away the grasp held tightly by Ar'ekk, no matter what Kid tried. Choking the poor fella to death wasn't in the plan because the idea was to keep him down until he gave up.

No blood to be shed, an honorary duel.

This was quite the predicament.

A student that had been under my teachings at one point, facing a friend of mine, and my own Mentor's boyfriend. Who to rally behind, and who to support.

I watch the fight from afar. Sitting off to the side well away from the main fight, but close enough that should one fall in the battle, I could rush in cart them away. To be honest. It wasnt all that much to come here and see the two fight, but more so work here. I mean, I totally wasn't here because I knew how to heal people through the force, and thus could heal the combatants after battle. Nor was I here cus I wanted to get some credits on the site. Nope. Not at all.

There was a deep part of me that wanted Rhaeon to win this fight. To show that even the weakest of underdogs could win a fight. However, I had a feeling that Arekk would come out on top. The two were closely matched with prowess and skill. However, Arekk and his Knighthood within his previous work as a Jedi would give him the leg up in this fight. His combat experience would give him much in the way of finesses over the young man.

I knew that Jyn and Stardust were watching from some venue. However, I would not be with them. As much as I wanted to see the adorable smile that could change the night into day from that child, I had to be down here in the sand and dust and dirt to make sure these fools didn't kill one another.

[member="Arekk"], [member="Jyn Lorr"], [member="Kid Starburn"], [member="Sargon Vynea"],

The medical systems were monitoring the situations closely as both tractor beams tracked their specific fighter ready to separate them at a moment's notice should there be a need. From the looks of the numbers though Arekk wasn't actually squeezing to put his opponent out, just to hold him down, made more sense now that he knew they were comrades. Still the count down went on though as the overhead system sent off two warnings as two new items were released onto the arena floor. The first a heavy single headed flail, and the second a long steel chain, simple but effective. They dropped down on opposite ends of the arena on each side of the fighters. As each moment ticked away at the fight the chances someone picked up something rose, but these two seemed focused enough on each other they might not even get to them.

Wrapping his arms around Jyn as she settled on his shoulder he chuckled softly, "That's a lot to throw on a man at once you know? I assume the younger one is your student? You know usually parents met these people at a dinner or something not while they are busy trying to kill each other. Of course he isn't really trying to do that is he. That's going to be a mistake if he moves on, I've got an assassin, a Mandalorian who nearly killed his last opponent, and Velok the Younger I swear is more interested in eating his opponent then winning the match." Normally he'd have laughed at that bit, but he wasn't really sure it was a joke at all.

Turning his face towards the girl he motioned her over, "A bit young to be a grandfather you say? Well I suppose you're trying to rush me to grow old, very well I accept the challenge. Come here, Stardust, let me take a look at you. I'll get a pair of old man glasses from somewhere so I can see you better." The last absolutely dripped with sarcasm, but his smile was genuine, old indeed. He was still young by even human standards, much less the longer lives of Zabraks.

Atefeh Lorr

ѕтαrdυѕт
Atefeh had arrived lightly clung to mommy's hand, as she tended to do whenever confronted with new surroundings such as the hot planet of Iridonia. The little girl was still fascinated at how each planet could be so different from one another, so she took any opportunity she got to let her eyes take in what surrounded her. Soon enough they were entering an enormous building, the shape of which she had never seen before. A colosseum, she had been told it was yet she knew that pronouncing the intricate word was still beyond her speech abilities.

Tefie knew her daddy would be fighting, and she was both slightly scared and filled with an innocent type of pride. Before coming here, Jyn had spoken to her and told her that what they would see today was a real fight and that they could sometimes be ugly. She had had time to prepare for that idea, and knew that if at any moment it became too much, all she had to do was turn around and keep her eyes away.

Once they entered the booth, the roaring of the crowned drowned down significantly and her green eyes were soon to settle on the figure of a man she did not know. Since she was in the company of her mother, Stardust managed to remain much calmer than usual and though she was still somewhat shy, there was a faint friendly smile to be found on her lips.

Apparently, this man was Jyn's dad, making him her grandfather. Feeling how trust radiated from the young woman towards the Zabrak, Tefie's shyness was slowly replaced with curiosity. "Hello!" She exclaimed, eyes shining brightly as she greeted the man. He looked a lot like most of the people they had seen today in this planet, so she assumed he must have been the same species.

Atefeh took some steps towards [member="Sargon Vynea"], after looking at Jyn for a second. She stood just a few little steps away from him, which taking in account how short her legs still were that was fairly close. The little girl tilted her head up, also with the intention of seeing and remembering her grandfather's face. She offered a sweet, now confident smile and then her eyes turned back to her mother.

"Mommy! Is Uncle Ignis coming?" She asked, curiosity filling her voice. Since [member="Arekk"] was fighting Jyn's student, [member="Kid Starburn"], she could thought that maybe the young man would be present at the event too. She had still not peered over to the actual fight, though she could tell by the muffled uproar of the crowd that it had probably already started.

[member="Jyn Lorr"] [member="Ignis Imura"]

A smile painted across his face from the shock the sudden feeling of a punch landing a hit in , was quickly overshadowed by what had happened after. All he felt was the back of his head feeling the soft earth beneath him Looking up to see the light rays beaming down on him. He had achieved getting a strike on his opponent but at the cost of him being pinned to the ground. The Metal arm around his throat and his body sprawled across the arena floor .

Hearing the crowds words of encouragement for him really lightened his mood on the situation
"End the boy" "It was obvious from the start " "Get up child i bet 300 credits on this"
"He got a hit but now what , he's a goner?" "If this is kids a Mandalorian then i'm a hutt HAHAHA!!!"

Laughter from the last comment had erupted a whole row in laughter , His face flustered from the talk of him, anger present on his face boiling to the surface.

The announcer's irritating voice again reemerging, detailing the mistake he had made to the crowd
"Uh oh seems as if one step forward and two steps back for this kid he's now grounded quite literally how will he ever get out of this predicament.

His mind was for a period blank he looked up only to be met by the blue of the sky , Thinking on how eager he was to prove himself going into the fight only to be quickly deconstructed this early. Having nothing better to do looked around the arena. Tilting his head upside down to see the guards throw weapons into the center of the arena, too far for his reach to be of any use. His eyes and nostrils flaring at each attempt to get out of the knights grip. He was very defiant by nature but knew the proper time to retaliate wasn't right now.

He was unable to move at this point only able to wait to see what would his opponent do next .
" Good move if only you had any idea how tempted I am to hurl one at you right now "

Kid was at the mercy of Ar'ekk's next move now and it only meant a clear win for the Knight here, as expected before the duel even began. An experienced war veteran against an upcoming but promising young Je'daii Journeyer. The odds were clearly in favor of the expert but something unexpected was about to happen.

His metallic hand gripped tightly to Kid's throat as he stood up, continuing to hold him but now his feet would be dangling from the floor as Ar'ekk reached for one of the weapons on the ground.

It seemed as if the Knight was about to deliver the final blow that would put an end to this fight and move on to the next round. Holding the single headed flail and looking deeply into his opponent's eyes, a thought dawned upon him.

No more blood.

Ar'ekk wanted to teach the young Je'daii a lesson he would never forget for the eternity to come. Signaling with his fingers towards the booth where [member="Sargon Vynea"] was staying with his beloved Jyn and little Atefeh, he indicated he was surrendering.

Yes, everyone heard that right. Surrendering.

"Why are you giving up, Champion?! You're the clear winner, the kid is a laughing stock! He'll get killed anyways!"

The people roared their discontent towards the "act of honor" demonstrated by Ar'ekk against his opponent. Little did the Knight know he was sending the young apprentice to his near death.

And just like that... The Knight walked [member="Ignis Imura"]'s way to get his injuries patched up.

It was over or really was it?

Ar'ekk was still holding on to that single headed flail as he walked towards Ignis, yet he stopped midway.

Only then, during that brief moment, he remembered the opponents that Kid would have to face in the next round. Stronger opponents that were nothing like he imagined.

Holding his hand up to the booth where Sargon and Jyn stayed at, he signalled to "Stop and reverse that" as he moved towards Kid.

He was laying in the same place where he left him and Ar'ekk picked up him up once again, sending a powerful kick towards his torso that would send him flying.

The crowd went crazy as they roared even louder this time, screaming all sorts of expletives and words of enjoyment,

"You merciless bastard! What a great move! I knew you were kidding! Finish him off and stop playing!"

Ar'ekk threw his hands up to taunt the crowd, feeling the energy come from them in all directions. He was enjoying this, every last second of it.

Rhaeon had been quite confident in his abilities through out the whole fight , He knew who he was facing and bravely took on the challenge even while aware of the skill gap. Finally facing the last minutes of the fight it had been summed up to this, All his faults crashing down around him.

He was still unable to break out of the metallic arm's grasp , Using his hands to try and punch at the arm . A wasted effort but showed he had some fight left in him. The crowd chanting now fully aware of who they wanted as their victor .Ar'ekk having reached for one of the weapons thrown into the arena, looking ready to finish it here . Rhaeon's eyes wincing ,ready to feel the pain of the weapon crashing down on him.

In shock he looked up feeling nothing .He looked to see the knight stopping, Turning to a section of the crowd gesturing forfeit of the match !?!?

Dropping to the soft ground , Finally able to catch his breath he was in disarray same as the crowd. He then walked away back turned leaving towards the exit of the coliseum, What was he to gain from forfeiting was he merely there to test his skills or was their another motive .

Sitting in the dirt visibly confused at what had just happened ,. Hearing the sounds of foot steps crunch beneath the ground. Barely able to speak each gasp followed by a cough , He looked up to see his opponent return.

" You.. hear to give... me words of closure or....

He was stopped mid sentence by the cybernetic hand again reaching towards him , hoisting him into the air by his collar. He then followed it up with a kick flying into his stomach,. Dropping him back to the ground below.

Laying face first into the ground feeling the soreness in his mid section , Watching as his adversary showed off for the crowd .Struggling to get to his feet glaring at the display in front of him , positioning himself to an offensive stance ready to go forward with the Tournament

"This is where it really begins"

The fight was near its end, quickly as possible. Weapons were thrown into the arena and Ar'ekk had already grabbed his, the flail being flaunted around in a menacing manner.

Though his opponent was unnarmed, the Knight pointed at the long steel chain laying by the sand nearby so Kid could pick it up. He wasn't going to fight the young man without something to defend himself, at least he could give him that much otherwise this duel would be shorter than expected.

"Go get that and let's finish this."

He had remained quiet since the duel just started and only now he spewed a few words out to the young apprentice in front of him, ready to take him out of the tournament for good. Enough of this "honorific" way of duelling, if he was going to face stronger opponents then this one would be treated like a proper one.

Moving his cybernetic arm forward, Ar'ekk taunted Kid to come towards him and make use of his steel chain. The man waited for the next move to be made while keeping an eye out for his body language, trying to decypher what he was going to do next. Careful calculations would give him the opportunity to counter attack properly and put him out of service for good.

Here we go.

It all came down to this

He was standing that's all that had mattered to him, He had suffered the brunt of the attacks due to his lack of evasiveness earlier into the fight. Struggling to even move, squeezing his forearm ,it ached but he tried his best to power through the pain received from the repeated clashes between the metal arm.

"Its over end it already" "He's no worth the time"
comments coming from each section of the collisieum all aimed at him.
