“...Just a Common Heist.”

Nar Shaddaa:

What better place for the scum and villainy of the galaxy? Aubrey smirked. This was his second maybe third time on the smuggler’s moon. Aubrey sighed as he sat in the crew quarters of his XS Stock light freighter. He began to strap on his mercenary gear and holster his DL-18 blaster pistol. His ballistic mask sat on a desk, shining from the cabin’s light. He would grin as his comrade entered the quarters. “What are you getting all geared up for?” The man asked as he took a seat on the rolling chair near the desk.

Aubrey smiled. “You know, the normal: picking up hot guys at bars.” Aubrey joked. The man laughed nearly falling out of the chair. Aubrey grinned. “What is it that much of a fantasy that I wouldn’t get some hot guy or girl at a bar?” Aubrey asked. The man looked to Aubrey and nodded. “You’re something else Bree.” Was all the man said. Aubrey glared. “Whatever Spectre 1, you obviously have been out of the game too long to know a real player when you see one. At any rate I’m going to a club, maybe I’ll be able to make a few credits pick up a job.” Aubrey pauses. “Throw me that mask next to you, I’ll contact you if anything goes south.” The man threw the mask to Aubrey who attached it to his belt. “Oh and keep working on gathering intel on that bank, we’ll hit it soon. And remember this is just a common heist.”

With that said, Aubrey then made his way off the ship and began walking towards a club. On this way he passed the very bank he was planning a heist on. There were still a few kinks in his pan, they needed heavier weapons and to get them, they’d have to raid some cartel shipments. He shook his head.

Some time later he reached a pretty popular club. He didn’t really look at the name as he entered, he just knew that they had good booze, good, dancing, and good music. Maybe he’d even pick up another hand for the job. As he entered he realized just how out of place he was, many of the clubbers were dressed appropriately. He laughed, he was so out of place in his merc gear, but he couldn’t lie. He liked all the attention it got him. Aubrey made his way to the bar and sat. The bartender made his way to Aubrey. The bartender was a very attractive Zabrak. “Hey hot stuff, mind if I get a couple shots of tequila?” Aubrey said with a wink. A few minutes later, his drinks arrived. Aubrey smiled and turned to face the club, his eyes scanning the dance floor.

“Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.” Aubrey said as he downed his first shot. He knew he should’ve been planning for the job but he figured he needed a small break, the heist would happen soon.

Nar Shaddaa.
(18:22 GST)

With the sun settled into its routine slumber, the hordes of vagrants and outlaws and all manners of scum slithered out of their respective recesses to wreak their habitual havoc. Such was the norm on the smuggler's moon. The cultural and economic epicenter of Hutt Space, the externally nondescript ecumenopolis was a cesspool of the galaxy's most unscrupulous inhabitants - murderers, thieves, slavers, kidnappers, gun runners, junkies, rapists, and just about every vice known to man. Those wallowing in their gluttonous luxury in the Core and Colonies bastions wouldn't survive a day on a shadowy street corner here, much less an hour. Life on Nar Shaddaa was ruthless, cutthroat, and unforgiving. To survive here, one doesn't need to be the strongest or the fastest or even the smartest. You just need to keep your head down, pick your friends wisely, and adapt to any and all situations. Oh, and you need a fair amount of luck. A lot of it.

Anders was used to this lifestyle. As an orphan, he was forced to learn the law of the jungle the hard way. His youth was a whirlwind of transporting spice and arms for local gangsters, taking meager bounty hunter contracts, and briefly being pushed into prostitution. Much older now, his questionable youth had crafted a more than capable young mercenary.

Anders found himself walking down a neon-lit street corridor. A trio of homeless warmed their hands over a tiny bonfire with drug dealers heckling passersby. He entered a brightly-lit club, crowded to the brim with patrons and droids. He shouldered through the crowd and settled into an empty booth, ordering a bottle of beer from one of the wandering server droids. Scanning the area, he stopped at a young male human sitting at the bar.

He ain’t too bad… he thought to himself, giving him a smirk and speaking with his eyes.

Aubrey put the empty shot glass down and picked up the second one. He laughed at himself for drinking before an important job, while his companions were working on getting details of on the weapons shipments. Aubrey shook his head as he scanned the club again, this time he made eye contact with an attractive man. The merc would smile. Raising an eyebrow slightly. Huh, maybe. At the very least I could share a drink. Aubrey thought as he downed the shot. He quickly ordered a beer and made his way towards the man. Aubrey strutted over with confidence and slid into the booth. Aubrey took a swig of his beer and shot [member="Anders O'Tor"].

"Hey, I'm Aubrey. Come here often?" Aubrey said with a goofy grin, he was a sucker for overused pick-up lines. Aubrey shook his head slightly, then took another gulp of his beer. He would look to the dance floor for a split second before returning the man's gaze. He was debating on speaking of the heist, but he had to make sure that this guy was a hired gun, first. If not, hey he still got to hang around eye candy. He smirked slightly.

Right about now, Spectre 1 and 2 were tracking cartel messengers and watching movements, soon they'd find the location of the cartel's stash of heavy weapons.

Aubrey sighed, this job would need more than blaster pistols and a few thermal detonators. He'd figure it out though, he always did. He looked the man up and down before settling on the man's eyes.

The man was certainly more attractive up close. Anders was glad he approached him.

"Not really," he said nonchalantly. "But maybe I should more often. You got a name?"

The silver servant droid returned with a tall bottle of Corellian beer, setting it down onto the table. He popped the cap and took several swigs. He shuffled his pants to display a pistol tucked in his trousers, implicitly indicating that he was a merc.

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

"Aubrey," The man said as he sipped at his beer. Aubrey chuckled when the guy said maybe he'd come more often. Aubrey watched as a serving droid dropped off Corellian Beer, the man popped the cap off and took a swig from the tall bottle. Aubrey smirked, maybe he'd challenge the man to a drinking contest later. Soon after the man would fix his pants revealing a blaster pistol. Aubrey didn't know if it was intentional but he smiled anyway. he did need another hand for the set of jobs he was planning, and it definetly was a plus that the man was handsome. Aubrey smiled brightly. "A blaster? At a club? How very strange." Aubrey teased because he carried a blaster into the club as well but instead of tucking it away, Aubrey wore it openly on his hip.

"You wouldn't happen to be a Mercenary would you?" Aubrey asked raising his eyebrows. He took another swig of his beer."If you are, I'll make it wort your while." Aubrey winked.

He put his hand up to order another beer from a serving droid as he finished the first one.,

[member="Anders O'Tor"]

"Mercenary, assassin, thief," he said with a lazy shrug. "Anything I can do to make money." He finished the bottle in one final swig, shouting at the servant droid who was several meters away for the same drink. Anders looked into Aubrey's glistening brown eyes, reflecting so nicely against the club's luminescent lights, his incessant smiling complimenting his looks. He was definitely flirtatious. I bet he's like this with all the guys...

The droid returned on nimble legs with the same bottle, opened this time. "Oh, and the name's Anders."

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

Aubrey was definitely like that with a lot of guys, and it got him into trouble, more than a few times did he get his ass kicked, this was a nice change of pace because Aubrey was a flirt, he just couldn't help himself. Anders said he was a Mercenary, Assassin and a Thief. Aubrey raised his eyebrows and let out a whistle. Smile ever present Aubrey kept Anders' gaze. Hm, Could definitely use those skills on the job. Aubrey watched as the serving droid brought the pair's beers. they were opened. "Thanks." He nodded to the droid as it left. Aubrey took a swig of the new beer. "It's a pleasure to meet you. A man with your skillset must know how to get things done...so I wonder..." Aubrey said as he put his hands down on the table. "Would you be interested in helping me on a job?" Aubrey asked, not giving away too much detail. He ran a hand through his hair, his eyes fixed on [member="Anders O'Tor"]. This job would definitely be fun with him around, Spectre 1 and 2 are too boring. Aubrey thought The merc took another swig of his new beer.

"A job?" he mused. "Hm, I could certainly use the money. What kinda job, though?"

Anders swung his head back, taking in the cold dark liquid. He almost coughed at how harsh it was, customary of Corellian alcohol. Aubrey seemed to be a master at maintaining eye contact, never drawing his eyes away from Anders' own. It made him blush, actually, blood filling his freckled cheeks. He'd met plenty of guys before - usually sleazy and lacking in any charm. It was the norm on such a squalid moon like Nar Shaddaa. This Aubrey, however, definitely wasn't from here - thankfully. Anders already mentally agreed to take the job. Partly because he really needed the money, but mainly to observe Aubrey a little closer.

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

Aubrey glanced around for a second making sure that nobody was listening. Nobody was, they were too focused on music and dancing to be paying attention to the duo. Aubrey lit up when Anders said he needed the money, it wasn't a yes but Aubrey had a feeling. Aubrey let his eyes roam [member="Anders O'Tor"] for a second, Aubrey noticed the blush that filled Anders' cheeks. Aubrey smiled a innocent smile, his teeth gleaming against the lighting of the club. "The job is a step by step process, First we need to disrupt a deal going on between two local crime lords, One is buying heavy weapons from the other. We of course interfere and take the weapons, explosives and credits. Secondly, once we steal the weapons and explosives, we need to set a few bombs here at the club, which we will set off just as we are leaving the bank with all the credits they have. From there we board my freighter and ditch the system." Aubrey said,of course there were a few kinks, but Aubrey was still confident. He smiled. He was really hoping the man would accept, though it wasn't just the skills Aubrey liked. The merc let his eyes roam again, giving a sly smirk as he looked to the dance floor and took another swig of his beer.
[member="Anders O'Tor"]

Anders leaned back and considered the mercenary's offer. This was quite the daring plan. The crime lords on the moon wielded a considerable degree of influence, even extending beyond Nar Shaddaa and Hutt Space. Their armies of goons would also pose another threat, but they were typically inept castaways with no real grasp in any field of combat. Either way, the mission sounded like it would bring in a hell of a lot cash.

"I'm in," he said, looking Aubrey up and down. "Only if you quit staring at me like that," he said with a smirk, indicating his sarcasm. Anders slid out of the booth. "We should get moving then, hm?"

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

Aubrey knew that it was essentially really dangerous, but no risk no reward. The mercenray smiled when Anders said that he was in. His smile flashed away for a second when the man said he'd only go If Aubrey stopped staring. The man then realised it was sarcasm. "Of course I'll quit staring as soon as you do." Aubrey joked back. Aubrey slid out of the booth as well, tossing a handful of credits on the table. The mercenary then began to lead [member="Anders O'Tor"] out of the club. Aubrey pressed his commlink as they walked down the warm streets. "Spectre 1, Hope you guys got the details of where this deal is going down." Aubrey said. "Haha, yup, but only if you managed to actually pick up a guy." Spectre 1 said. Aubrey grinned. "Shut your dumbass up." He said. "Eh whatever, okay the deal's going on at a docking bay, a secluded area uh #42." Spectre 1 said. Aubrey nodded. "Meet me down there as soon as you can, time to take some fun to that deal" Aubrey said as he looked to Anders. "Hey, you all geared up and ready to go hot stuff?" Aubrey asked with a challenging smirk.

Anders overheard the conversation Aubrey was having on his comlink, chuckling at the sly comment the person gave on the other end.

"All ready," he said. Hot stuff? Anders swooned, his charm making him so dorky and cute. This'll be a lot of fun...

Anders shuffled beneath his cloak, adjusting the thin tactical vest underneath. The pouches peppered over the vest sheltered thermal detonators, fragmentors, darts, and plasma packs. The sleek cargo pants concealed hidden knives and daggers for auxiliary purposes. He'd probably need a larger gun for this operation, but the pistol should do fine.

"Lead the way," he said, crossing his arms and eyeing Aubrey's whole frame.

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

Aubrey smirked, as Anders said he was ready. Looks like the other Merc didn't mind Aubrey's comment. And Anders asked for Aubrey to lead the way. Aubrey gave Anders a smile and a wink before turning to head towards the rendezvous. He looked back to [member="Anders O'Tor"]. "So what do you think? Go in guns a blazing or should we take a quieter approach? It's up to you." Aubrey said as he unlatched his ballistic mask from his belt. The mercenary would pull it over his face as the walked. "Sorry gonna have to hide my pretty face for a moment." Aubrey let out a short laugh. They got nearer to where his allies Spectre 1 and 2 were waiting, A few buildings down from the deal in the shadows. Aubrey smirked as he approached. "So Anders, what's the decision?" He looked over to Anders. His mask covered his face but exposed his eyes, which would give Anders a wink.

[member="Anders O'Tor"].

"I prefer a more tactical approach," Anders took out his miniature macrobinoculars, observing Docking Bay #4. The expansive perimeter was awash with neatly partitioned rows of light freighters and much smaller airspeeders. Maintenance droids of various shapes and sizes scuttled on long legs or hovered on glowing repulsors, checking diagnostics or logistics or any other kind of operation. Scanning the area, the computer display zeroed in on a much larger transport with Gotals hauling out large crates, flanked by armed, towering Trandoshans. "I'm assuming that's them."

"I'm going to hurl two fragmentors to disorient them. Once the smoke pops, fire on their left flank seven meters away - tell Spectre one to fire on them on the right flank seven meters away. I'm taking 'sniper' position with the pistol. Sound good? Or do you have any better ideas than flirting?" He teased and grinned.

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

Aubrey nodded as Anders said he'd like to take a more tactical approach. The three other merc watched silently as Anders observed the group in the Docking bay. Aubrey listened to Anders' plan, He had to admit his plan was actually really good Aubrey smirked as he looked Anders up and down again. "Ah ha ha! So good looks and a tactical mind, A man after my own heart." Aubrey joked. He then threw a commlink to Anders. "Here ya go." He looked to Spectre one and nodded. "You heard the man, let's get into position." Aubrey said. Spectre 1 nodded. As they got into position Aubrey took aim on the left flank and Spectre did so on the right. "Hey so you actually got someone to fall for your stupid pickup lines and insufferable flirting?" Spectre 1 asked over the Commlink. Aubrey laughed. "I told you to shut up about that. At any rate....Anders on your go." Aubrey said. He and Spectre 1 got ready to send a hail of fire as soon as the fragmentors were out.

[member="Anders O'Tor"]

Anders reached into the pouch on his chest, revealing a dense, spherical detonator. He cocked his arm back and hurled the fragmentor at the armed party. The devices erupted with a quick, deafening explosion followed by thick clouds of gray smoke.

"Now!" he ordered over the comlink. The merc dashed behind a crate, unsheathing his pistol and firing on the rival hunters.

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

Aubrey smiled, they definitely got the drop on the deal. Anders gave them the go and threw the smokescreen. Instantly Aubrey started cover fire on their right flank and Spectre 1 started on their left. Trying to draw as much attention as they could.

“We’ll draw their attention, when they’re focused on us. Blast them.” Aubrey said over the comm. Hos DL-18 blaster was firing as fast as it could. The mercenary smirked. The plan was actually working. “Remember, be careful of the explosives. Don’t want them blowing up prematurely. That’d be really bad” Spectre 1 said as the duo continued to draw the cartel’s fire.

[member="Anders O'Tor"]

The plan was going perfectly, far better than Anders anticipated. The smokescreen bewildered the rival hunters, forcing them into a mad frenzy of blaster fire. Caught off guard, the dozen and a half Trandoshans and Gotals relented and pulled back in disparate directions as they shouted curses at one another. Much of the hangar bay's civilians and droids had left in terror, the area now oddly quiet as the firefight closed. Anders approached the crates the bounty hunters were hauling out, observing the alphanumerics on each one.

"This is is, right?" He asked. "We should get going as soon as possible, I'm sure they'll be back in greater numbers."

[member="Aubrey Landcaster"]

Aubrey laughed as the two factions pulled off, leaving the crates and credits behind. He looked over to Spectre 1 “Okay, keep an eye on the perimeter. Call Spectre 2 to bring the ship. We’ll load up the cargo quickly, The first step is complete.” Aubrey said as he pulled off his mask, his hair damp from sweat. The man ran his gloved hand through it and looked to Anders. Aubrey clipped his mask onto his belt. “Good thinking out ther hot stuff.” Aubrey complemented the merc and patted him on the shoulder, leaving his hand there for a second before walking over to the crates.

Soon after, Aubrey’s XS stock light freighter came into view of the hanger, landing near the crates. Spectre 2 came down the loading ramp, his armor identical to Aubrey’s. “Okay let’s load it up, no time to waste. In a few hours we’ll plant the charges at the club.” Aubrey said as motioned for Anders to follow. He then boarded the ship and made his way to the lounge area. Spectre 1 and 2 began to load the crates.
