The decision to stand with the Underground is no small thing and we are grateful you have considered this path. Because of that, we will not insult you by pretending this will be easy, you deserve honesty about what this job demands. By joining us, you can expect to have moments when you question whether what you are doing matters and days when you are tired and it would feel easier to throw in the towel and give up. Most of what we do here exists in the margins, and often comes without formal recognition or public commendation.
That is not why we are here, and if it is, then this is not the place for you. There is no shame in turning around and finding your calling elsewhere.
If you stay, I assume it is because you already understand this. Perhaps you have been witness to too many lives extinguished, and cannot look away. Perhaps you lived it and have experienced those losses firsthand. Or perhaps someone already standing in this fight saw you and believed in your strength of character, and in the skills you possess. Believed you could make a difference and champion the flame of hope that we fight to preserve.
We need that. The Galaxy needs that.
Peace does not arrive on its own, it is a fight that demands payment and is bought in the measure of lives and those willing to spend them. You have chosen to answer the call and stand before the consequences of inaction or action.
