Naboo
Ruins -Porte Homestead
The burning smell had just within the last few days left the area. From what he heard there was plans clear away all the chaos that was left by those responsible and according to his father. He was in talks with some to get the place rebuilt. Aiden offered a small smile to those that had passed by, members of Shiraya's Hope. It was a Victory, however that didn't come without suffering, loss or sacrifice.
Aiden walked the ruins as he was moving towards a singular location. A spot he had picked out, it wasn't the place where she fell. It was a place where the sun would shine on her. The Jedi Padawan took a deep breath as he laid some flowers next to her tombstone.
He let out a small exhausted sigh as he knelt next to the tomb. His finger tracing the flower gently as he drew a deep breath. Trying to find the words, whatever he could say. Wouldn't be of any significance as to what she had went through. The only consolation that he felt was when he saw her become one with the force. The smile, it was a really good smile, laugh, everything.
"I sometimes wonder if this was my fault? Did I bring this on you?" Aiden rubbed his chin lightly before he sat down next to the tombstone. "I'm just glad to know that you are at complete peace now, and no one can disturb that." The Padawan wiped a tear that fell from his eye, and he heard the slightest crunch of grass. He turned quickly to see his Dad standing a few feet away.
"Hey Dad." Aiden spoke quickly as he made a move to stand up. But the hands of his father raised and motioned for him to stay where he was at. "I didn't mean to disturb you, I just wanted to check on you and pay my respects."
Aiden smiled and nodded quickly. "Thanks." He looked back over to the tombstone, and he heard his father speak again.
They were laced with wisdom, not as a lecture from a teacher but as a father trying to console his son.
"Aiden, what happened to Esme......it wasn't your fault. This was darkness, evil and something nobody could've predicted. You did the hardest thing you could've done. But it was the right thing to do."
The Padawan nodded his head as he looked off into the distance. "I feel ashamed, there was a moment. Maybe longer than a moment where she asked me to join her. Join her in darkness, to leave with her. I know that wasn't her talking. But for that moment however long it was I considered it. I considered leaving you all, forsaking everything I've grown to care for and love."
"I'm so sorry, I'm sorry to you, Lorn, Kalantha, Brandyn, Briana. To everyone......"
Kahne let out small sigh, not out of frustration, anger, disappointment.....
But of understanding....
"Aiden, its okay son." He placed on hand on his shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Her spirit, her true spirit is always going to be with you." The Jedi Master turned to walk away and mid turn Aiden called back to him. "Hey Dad, w-would you mind staying with me for a minute."
The Jedi Master showed a small smile, but it was full of caring, understanding and hope. "Of course, I'll stay as long as you need me too."
Kahne took a seat next to his son, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. An indication that he was here for him for as long as he needed him too.
