My Fellow Echani, Citizens of the Compact and the Galaxy,
It has come to my attention that the Zweihander Union has attacked the world of Ilum and brought unjust harm upon the natives that call the world home.
As most people know, I am a Jedi. I do not ascribe to any particular order, but I adhere to the ideals of peace and justice. Ilum is a world of special importance to me and many like me, as it is the location we chose to venture to in order to obtain the crystals for our lightsabers. It is a part of the journey of the Jedi. To see the local populace torn asunder so that another totalitarian regime can harvest the crystals that have grown on the world breaks my heart and I cannot sit by and allow this atrocity to occur without doing something about it.
After consulting with my council, The Echani Compact officially declares war on the Zweihander Union for this intrusion upon sacred ground and the ignorant and willful slaughter of the people that call Ilum home. We support the Galactic Alliance and the Wardens of the Light in their statement against them and pledge that we will not rest until justice is served. You have my word on that.
