"Do you know where I put my bag? I can't find it and it has my repair kit..."

Her nanotech robes were damaged. Though the hole in the center had repaired itself, the code that kept it running was all tuckered out.

"I think it was," Brandyn trailed off. He seemed distracted by what he was reading. "I think it was left in the speeder."

"...I oh..I better go get it.", she mumbled, trying to revive the nanotechnology by rubbing it. Like getting rid of a spot.

"I can get it for you," he said, jumping up from the desk with a smile.

Cybelle smiled back in return. It was a little off, not quite touching her eyes, perhaps tired. "If you don't mind?"

She wasn't up to...People.

"No problem," he said. He took the long way to the door, dropping a kiss on her forehead. "Early to bed tonight?"

She paused working for a moment, blushing, but only slightly. The hole in her suit...She could still see it. Their friends kept sending memos to congratulate their successes but all she could see was that hole. Even if it was gone now. "I might stay awake for a while. Do some reading."

His head tilted as if to question the wisdom of that decision, but he did not say anything. "Reading, huh? Sounds… sleep-inducing," he said with a hand wave before leaning towards the door.

"Only if the reading is boring...", she countered softly, though a smile sat at the kiss of her mouth. Even when she was confused...Miserable...Bran had a way of making her feel like it might be all right. "What were you looking at--?"

"Oh, just another New Way report," he said over his shoulder before disappearing out the door.

The New Way still left a touch of apprehension in her...But it was less, now. There were worse things. She hunched over the battle robes that were laid over the table and kept running the diagnostic. Words like "|| << Fatal Trauma >> ||" kept flashing across the screen of the holopad. It was jarring. Especially, when she glanced toward the door so she could...Erase the history.
