Endorsement of House Riyaré for Kalantha
It is a matter of public record that I, on behalf of the people of Naboo voted against the transition away from the Royal Naboo Republic to this High Republic and I shall stand by that decision. However, this is a democracy and the majority has spoken so it is my duty to act in the interests of the new High Republic as well as my constituents.
Former Queen Kalantha has done an admirable job, she has shown kindness, nobility and strength that is beyond her young age. She handled the emergency powers granted to her with dignity and returned them without requirement of parliament. She has done nothing which would give me concern about her continuing as our head of state in this new position.
To this end, I, Countess Annis Rosâte Riyaré of Lopenthé as the head of House Riyaré do give my endorsement to Queen Kolantha of the Royal Naboo Republic to be elected as Chancellor Kolantha of the High Republic. I shall be voting for her, and I suspect many other will. I will however, like my esteemed colleagues, encourage you to vote for what you believe is right for your worlds so that we can move forward together in strength.
