The Stormtrooper didn't endeavour to spend much time considering the morality of the orders she received, or even the purpose of them, but it was becoming inescapable as the Empire faltered. They were no longer a threat to the Alliance and they were treated as such. Katja couldn't help but wonder the futility of their actions.

Such thinking had its toll and for at least a short while, she sought solutions which was how she found herself in the barracks with her squadmate and a healthy dose of stimsticks, among other... remedies.

"Do you ever wonder what the point of all this training is?" She asked Leto. "Is that supposed to be a serious question?" He responded, unenthusiastic to be part of her conversation but with little hope of escape.

"I just mean... it feels like we're always training and there's no point to it anymore." She admitted, in a brief moment of clarity. "On Exegol, I just felt cornered. Like there was no purpose." She told him, unaware of how her words could be misconstrued. She intended no disloyalty but it was only natural to wonder about the future of the former Empire.

"I was with a Stormtrooper who I thought was going to desert right there and then." Her words earned her a glance in her direction. "What did you do?" He asked, sceptically. "I informed the ISB but who knows what happened after that." She got up from the bed she had been laying on to grab another stimstick.

"You should've just shot him." He told her in his usual cold manner. "What? No. The ISB can investigate it. He didn't actually defect so maybe he'll only get a prison sentence. I did threaten to shoot him but it was a bluff." She shrugged it off and returned to her original position, ignorant to the warning signs.

"I mean... it did seem pointless to fight a Jedi when there were Sith there too but I was just following orders." She continued to ponder on the topic. "You're questioning orders now?" He asked, becoming increasingly suspicious, and Katja didn't catch onto the tone but she knew the question was accusatory. "No. I just wonder the purpose of them sometimes. Don't you?" She asked in response. "No."

His response only prompted a chuckle. "Sounds about right. I can't imagine you doing a whole lot of thinking." She joked. After the amount of times he had mocked her, it was only right that she could get her fair share.

No sooner than when she put the stimstick to her mouth did the door slide open and she immediately hid it behind her back as an officer stepped inside.

They were going to be hearing about this for months...
