I wish this correspondence was one relaying good news, however, I regret to inform you that I fear this will be the first of many to convey similar findings. Rumors had reached my ears of trouble on Apatros, the site of Thorn Academy. I personally led a team of Knights to the site where we discovered the rumors were, in fact, true.
It would appear the unforeseen consequences of the activation of the artifact we have come to call the Eye are more troublesome than we anticipated. While it was thought the threat was contained, it was not. Rifts to the Netherworld are still opening at locations which seem to be tied to areas within Confederate space that have heavy ties to the force in one way or another.
Our team was able to deal with the threat, but not without difficulty. Creatures poured out of this rift, the likes of which I have never laid eyes on before. I fear if these rifts continue it may embolden other threats which will threaten the peace and security of every Confederate System.
