Minor Faction Operation: Sundown - Tempo of War Pt. I

The Galactic Empire marches to WAR at the behest of their Emperor, Darth Solipsis. Once again the mad Sith Lord threatens the Core in his quest to destroy the galaxy and reforge it in his image. The Galactic Alliance stands in defense of the Core Worlds, overextended on many fronts as enemies new and old encircle their territory. Only two short years after the Dark Empire’s failed assault on Coruscant, a grand army stands poised to finish the job and lay claim to the galaxy anew.

In the shadow of the Empire’s push for the Core, the Sworn Host devise a plan to strengthen their forces and weaken Darth Solipsis’ hold on the Core in one fell swoop. A strike team led by Masters Ashina's eldest son, Ikuma, assaults the Balmorran Arms Factory in search of weapons, supplies, and information to be turned against the Empire. The Lightsworn arrive under the cover of a stolen freighter and engage the factory’s defenses in a brutal battle.

Master Henna Ashina coordinates the offensive from the Hirata Praxeum back on Atrisia, emboldened by the sense of serenity found within hearth and home. Skirmishes break out across the Arms Factory as the Lightsworn come face-to-face with servants of Darth Solipsis’, poised to repel the assault. Jedi Knight Tilon Quill leads a dogged defense of the landing zone as the facility’s droid defenders descend on the commandeered freighter in waves of escalating danger. Thalen Dhorain works tirelessly to evacuate damaged soldiers and Jedi alike throughout, working in tandem with Quill and Ikuma Ashina to blunt the defenders’ push for the landing pad.

Elsewhere, Jedi Master Kornon and his ever-faithful students pierce the Arms Factory in search of Governor Drachmas Venti. The barabel’s allies carve a path through the facility in a frenzied assault through the lowest level, while Master Kornon moves under the cover of the chaos. His chosen path inevitably sets him on course with Governor Venti, empowered by a pair of AR-S Siege Battle Droids and encased in the dastardly CAP-2 Captivator model walker. The battle is short lived, however, as Master Kornon soon overwhelms the battle droids and puts an end to Governor Venti’s dreadful reign.

But not all is well for the Lightsworn!

In Governor Venti’s final moments, his deft command of the factory defenses see the Sworn Host’s escape freighter under heavy fire. Threatened by an even stronger model of droids in the SD-10 battle droids, and ever decreasing shield, Knight Tilon Quill calls for the evacuation order and departs from the landing pad to protect a ship full of wounded fighters and looted weaponry. Before the pilot can successfully flee the battle, another aboard the freighter notices Talin Treicolt’s dismemberment at the hands of Meliant, the Blackguard. Jedi Knight Corr protects Talin long enough for the wounded Jedi aboard the commandeered freighter to force pull both Talin and Corr out of the Dark Jedi’s malignant grip.

Amid the chaos of Governor Venti’s death and the final push for the landing pad, Jedi Knight Corin Kaze successfully infiltrates the Arms Factory and discovers a key piece of information left behind in the Galactic Empire’s departure. Dubbed Project: Stardust, the information stored within does not bode well for the galaxy….
