In the deepest part of the Dhorain home, the elders of the family converged together amongst a circular reflective table, watching what appeared to be a camera set in a training room. It was only after a few moments of watching that someone would be able to come to the realisation that it was not simply a camera hovering in the air, recording someone going through the motions. No, it was if the recording was coming from the person's very own eye. Exhausted pants echoing through the room before a sharp hiss of pain escaped the lips of the recorder.
"Foolish boy. He was not to get himself involved in the politics of the Galaxy."
A sharp voice wheezed through the room, one of the Elders making their disdain clear.
"What did you expect? Without our guidance, it was clear that he'd get himself into some kind of trouble. At least it makes for pleasant viewing."
With that, a softer voice echoed through the room. Afterwards, a series of beeping noises to the tune of binary came from one of the figures in the room. The beeping carried on for an extended period of time, and whilst most would be unable to understand what was actually being said, it was clear from the tone and pace of the beeping, the figure wasn't as pleased as the softer voice.
"Yes, yes. I know Sunder. You are annoyed that Our Tool covers his Gift when it comes to his secret little meetings. Can we truly fault him however? At least we get to see the blood he spills. The information he brings to us from outside these walls that we can not leave. If not for him, we might not even know of this Galactic Empire."
At that, a robotic hand slammed down on the table, causing the video feed to glitch for a moment before it shut off, instead being replaced with that of a wanted post. A bounty to say the least. Various eyes and optical sensors turned their attention to the table, looking down the list until they came to the name at the very bottom.
"It is this very Galactic Empire that has put a bounty out on him, because of his own foolishness and recklessness! We should not have let him leave! He is naive! Foolish! And now he has a bounty on his head! Imagine how much we could lose if he was to be captured."
More beeping in binary came out in response, as this "Sunder" seemed to be agree with the wheezing voice, taking his place in the conversation as the wheezer broke out into a series of violent coughing.
"That is fine. He is Our Tool. Like any good tool, he is also disposable. Once he has reached the limits of what he can do for us, we can move onto a different member of the family. I believe his sister is eager for our attention...I am quite eager myself however to see how far The Tool can progress...See, Miu, you believe Thalen is a blight to the family because he has a bounty on his head...I believe he is a blight to our family since his bounty is so little."
The table swiftly flickered back to the recording, as Thalen let out a sudden sneeze.
"...Why do I have a feeling that someone is talking about me?...It's probably the Elders."
At that, the recording was obscured as Thalen wrapped a ribbon over his crystal eye and went back to his training. With their show for the evening now blocked, the Dhorain elders ended their meeting, the table flickering off.
