In an epic of fable and legend, when the Galaxy lay cloaked in mist and bathed in mythos, there lived a mortal named Set, birthed from the noblest of Kings with unyielding benevolence.

From the dawning days of his boyhood, it was evident that Set's destiny was painted in grand brushstrokes, his life a series of astounding feats and courageous deeds which led him to become a legend among his people. On the breadth of the lands entirety, none could hold a candle to Set's valor.

Yet, unbeknownst to the dauntless Prince, his greatest trials had yet to reveal themselves—a destiny written in the stars by providence.

She was known as Shiraya, the treasured and honorable lunar goddess of unparalleled esteem, the only daughter of the revered and fearsome Kharos.

Of all the Gods, only Shiraya traversed among mortals—whom she held dear—veiling her divinity behind an alter ego called Veré, whom was hailed for her beauty and likened to the morning star's brilliance; bestowing blessings aplenty across the realm, ushering forth fertility and prosperity to the populace.

When the powers that be arranged the stage for the two ill-fated lovers to meet, it is said that the moment their eyes met, their hearts were irrevocably intertwined, bound by the impartial thread of destiny. Foredoomed to endure ceaseless tribulations.

Those who couldn't comprehend the immeasurable love shared between the two, murmured in the shadows, until the tale of their affections echoed far amongst mortals and immortals alike — eventually reaching Kharos himself, lord of the celestial firmament. Deeming their union a desecration, Kharos beseeched his daughter to return to her heavenly dwelling.

Defiant, Vere refused his demands, provoking the wrathful Kharos to summon treacherous travails and fearsome creatures to send against the steadfast lovers. But Set and Vere endured the tempest from the heavens above, braving countless tribulations through many cycles of waxing and waning moons. The valor of Set and the purity of Vere never once diminished.

Yet, even those most righteous of heart and strong of will, elude not sorrow's embrace.

Weakened by unending strife, Veré and Set devised a strategy to send the princeling beyond the confines of mortality, to the world between, to procure an artifact of the divine in the hopes of sealing away Vere's father and at last find respite from their endless tribulations.

In the twilight of their tragic affair, the star-crossed lovers, weighed down by the burden of their impassioned hearts, bid their doleful farewells as Set ventured forth on a treacherous quest. Alas, his valiant soul could not surmount the insurmountable.

In a final desperate act to assuage her father's unrelenting wrath and secure a life of quietude, Veré surrendered her godly essence, relinquishing her immortality and forsaking her celestial status.

Infuriated by his daughters decision to embrace mortality, Kharos unleashed a curse of apocalyptic proportions upon Set, transfiguring him into a nefarious being wrought of darkness – boasting titanic wings of obsidian and diabolically sharp talons.

His spirit now corrupted, bereft of its erstwhile elegance, he was banished into exile – dreaded by the commoners and scorned by nobles alike.

Perhaps, Kharos believed, this would cause his headstrong daughter to abandon her folly.

But none could foresee the unwavering intensity and purity of Veré's devotion. Like a radiant beacon amidst an unending night, her love pierced the abyss that enveloped her beloved, shedding light upon the wretched depths of what was left of his mangled soul.

With compassionate mercy and selfless ardor, Veré liberated Set from his nightmare, bestowing upon him the serenity of an eternal rest that he deserved.

Consumed by grief for her irrevocable actions, she laid herself beside her ill-fated love and willingly embraced death's chilling clasp.

At last, her plaintive elegy in these final hours stirred the frigid heart of Kharos. Moved by anguish and a remorse hardly known to him before, he granted the duo an opportunity to ascend — reborn as the divine beings, Shiraya the Moon Goddess, and Aditya, God of the Sun.
