Thirdas Heavenshield
AKA "Chief Ironside"
Colonel
Commanding Officer

A young lieutenant by the time of the Battle of Sev Tok when he led a desperate last stand at the city of Anvil, Heavenshield achieved legendary status in the latter half of the Bryn War by founding and commanding the brand new Jaeger Battalion, AKA the Bloody 88th. Comprised solely of veterans of Sev Tok, the battalion took pride in their ruthless assault tactics and sought to match the bloodlust of their hated foe.

The battalion would play a decisive role in every major battle until the last Bryn'adûl hive was set ablaze and an end to the war was declared. Suffering the highest casualty rate of any battalion in the history of the Corps, it was by their blood and deeds that countless trillions were spared a horrific fate at the hands of a genocidal species. In the aftermath, it became clear that the greatly depleted Rangers were no longer the same fighting force to be reckoned with that he had once joined, and so sought to embark on a new mission.

Now, going by the nickname earned while leading the 88th, the Son of the Lion leads his elite band of fellow renegade Rangers in a righteous crusade. Woe to the tyrant, the tormentor, and the terrorist.

Ezekiel Creed
AKA "Commissar"
Lieutenant Colonel
Executive Officer

A career soldier through and through, Creed grew up the son of a poor farmer on Ord Mantell before finding himself drawn to the worthy cause of the Antarian Rangers in the golden age of the Silver Jedi. When partaking in his first-ever battle as a young recruit, he found himself in the presence of none other than Grandmaster Heavenshield himself, ending up assaulting an enemy position alongside the legendary Jedi. The events of that day left an indelible mark on the young man, who even earned a commendation for his bravery.

In the decades to follow, the weathered veteran finds himself serving alongside none other than the son of the great man he admired so. Together they faced the Bryn on countless battlefields, forging a bond stronger than beskar, and when he was tasked with putting together a new battalion, Heavenshield brought Creed on board as his second-in-command. They are the only Ironsides to have served together the entire war.

His loyalty to his commander is absolute, just as his steely resolve and sense of duty.

Proctor Yarrick
AKA "Yeoman"
Major

Logistics Officer

Born a member of the Coruscanti aristocracy during the planet's occupation at the hands of the One Sith, Yarrick enjoyed a privileged, if sheltered, childhood. Hoping to please his overbearing father by following in his footsteps and joining the military academy as a cadet, he finished second in his class and earned his father's belt as punishment.

On his first deployment, then-Lieutenant Yarrick refused to give the order to massacre a family of civilians allegedly sheltering "enemies of the state". A proponent of facts and figures, he argued there wasn't enough evidence to prove their guilt, earning the privilege of being lined up against the wall alongside them.

He was saved at the last second by a squad of Antarian Rangers, proving that the family was indeed guilty of harbouring enemies after all. Already branded a traitor by his government and presumed executed, he begrudgingly agreed to join the Rangers and would provide what inside knowledge he had to their cause. In the years to come, he earned himself a friend in Creed, the man who saved his life on that fateful day.

Sebastian Balor
AKA "Bonesaw"
Captain
Chief Medical Officer

A native of the tropical planet of Kattada, Balor grew up the son of a humble fisherman and spent most of his youth on the water. He enjoyed a poor but happy childhood, working hard to make ends meet and spending his time off playing on the beach with his seven younger siblings.

On the day of reaching manhood, his hardworking parents gifted him with a ticket off-world, hoping for a better life for their eldest child. Balor vowed he would make them proud and embarked on his journey the next morning, booking passage on a transport heading for Kashyyyk, the capital of the Silver Jedi.

He enlisted with the Antarian Rangers shortly before the Battle of Anvil, becoming a combat medic thanks to his extensive knowledge of poisonous flora and fauna. Joining the venerated Jaeger Battalion, Balor served with distinction throughout the second half of the Bryn War. A true believer in his commander's plight to make the galaxy a better place, he later joined the Ironsides.

He still wires any credits he can spare to his folks on Kattada.

Jirrel Pac

AKA "Pioneer"
Captain
Chief Engineer

Pac is considered a tech savant, having worked for Mon Calamari Shipyards and coming up with daring new designs for their starships since age sixteen. He was also able to simplify and improve upon existing systems, streamlining them to a point where even the common man might comprehend. While initially hailed for his genius, his entrepreneurial spirit made an enemy of the higher-ups looking to protect their patented designs so crucial to their reputation as a species.

Finding himself without a job, Pac sought out the Antarian Rangers, recognising their need for skilled technicians to weather the relentless onslaught of the Bryn'adûl. He fired his first shots when defending his repair crew from a surprise attack on Nimban, single-handedly buying time for them to evacuate. He was awarded a medal for extraordinary valour.

After the events of Sev Tok, Colonel Heavenshield recruited Pac to the Bloody 88th, making him Chief Engineer of the battalion effective immediately, and would later go on to design the weapons and armour of the Ironsides, joining them in their crusade.

N4U7l1e.png
Ghul Hak'ken
AKA "Hurricane"
Flight Lieutenant
Ace Pilot

Having spent his entire life aboard starships, it was no small wonder Hak'ken would become a hotshot pilot at an early age. The son of two navy officers, he would join his mother and father on their years-long deployments, learning from them every aspect of piloting and maintaining a starship.

Joining the navy branch of the Antarian Rangers, Hak'ken quickly distinguished himself as a brave but brash pilot, infamous for his daring manoeuvres and for frequently breaking formation, saving lives by either strafing enemy reinforcements on the ground or bombing anti-air guns ahead of a landing party. Beloved by infantrymen and scorned by his fellow airmen in equal measure, Hak'ken's happy-go-lucky personality never cared for receiving acknowledgement. He did not need medals to tell him he was the best.

Having become somewhat of a guardian angel during the Bryn War to the embattled 88th Battalion, their commander approached with an offer in the aftermath of the war to leave the Rangers and join the Ironsides. There he found true joy in finally working alongside like-minded individuals, unafraid to take risks like himself.

Azrael Gaunt
AKA "Grizzly"

First Lieutenant
Lead Scout

Gaunt's past is shrouded in mystery as even he can't recall where he came from or who raised him. It's recorded that he joined the Bloody 88th as a day-one recruit and would immediately stun his fellow Rangers with his unnatural skills at marksmanship and use of stealth, earning him the position of Lead Scout, tasked with surveying battlegrounds ahead of deployment and assassinating enemy leadership from afar.

Pale and skinny, Gaunt suffers from a degenerative disease of unknown origin, ravaging his mangled body with horrific scarring that slowly spreads, having already claimed the use of his left eye. It has also been confirmed that the disease is responsible for his memory loss, as he can no longer recall his first years of service or the many faces he's fought beside.

Realising he's living on borrowed time, he eagerly joined the Ironsides and struck up a close friendship with Balor, who would devote his medical expertise to studying the disease with hopes of curing it. Still, his aim remains true and his instincts are as sharp as ever, and he will give every last bit of himself even as he slowly rots away.

Belial
AKA "Blindfold"
Sergeant Major

Guerrilla Warfare Specialist

Despite being born blind, the child who would take the name of Belial nevertheless grew up to become a feared bounty hunter, bringing in marks from across the galaxy. Known for his taciturn and spiritual nature, he made a name for himself among criminals and lawmen alike. Whether aided by the Force or acting solely on instinct, no one knows.

During the height of the Bryn War, he'd accepted an anonymous contract to hunt down a humanoid in Silver Jedi space. A master tracker, he was able to ambush him on the planet of Kintan and separate him from his men. His plan of attack was thwarted when his mark simply snatched the poisoned dart out of the air with his mechanical hand, alerting him to his presence. Belial presented himself, brandishing his electrostaff to challenge the young one to an honour duel. He was ultimately bested, yet the commander of the 88th Battalion did not kill or punish him for the attempted capture. Instead, he helped the old man to his feet.

The wizened Weequay then swore allegiance to Chief Ironside, becoming his silent shadow throughout the war and beyond. As the respected elder of the team, he only speaks to offer cryptic words of wisdom.

3ekybyo.png
Rrauros the Red Dread
AKA "Rowdy"

Gunnery Sergeant
Heavy Weapons Expert

Orphaned at a young age, Rrauros can still recall finding his parents skinned by Trandoshans. Surviving alone in the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk for years, the adolescent Wookie learnt what it was to be hunted, and what it was to be the hunter. When representatives of the Antarian Rangers visited for a recruitment drive, Rrauros appeared to hand in his application by way of presenting his impressive collection of trophies.

Struggling to fit in at first given the discipline required, his bitter hatred for the enemy - any enemy - would be the cause of several infractions during his first months of boot camp, earning him his nickname. He eventually caught the attention of the commander of the Bloody 88th, a battalion known for its aggressive assault tactics. Rrauros found his true calling then, receiving unrivalled heavy weapons and armoured warfare training.

He was offered a place among the Ironsides in the aftermath of the war, being told he would face the toughest foes and conquer the toughest challenges. A no-brainer for the likes of the Red Dread.

KZCir5o.png
Galadin Cain
AKA "Cypher"

Sergeant
Cyber Operations Specialist

Cain fell in with the wrong crowd at an early age, spending his adolescence as a street punk while simultaneously caring for his sickly mother. Occasionally stealing to put food on the table, the only light in his life was his childhood crush living next door. The two would appear at their bedroom windows and chat late into the evening despite her parents' objections. They were both sixteen by the time of the Bryn invasion.

Answering the outnumbered Rangers' call for volunteers, Cain would take up arms alongside Mira in the city's defence. It was while awaiting impending doom from above that they made their feelings known to each other by the simple act of holding hands. What followed was the stuff of nightmares.

Somehow making it through the day, the traumatised teens were singled out by the young lieutenant who had led the defenders to victory, applauding them for their courage while lamenting the loss of their innocence. Inspired, Cain and Mira left their old lives behind to join the Antarian Rangers, forsaking their youth for the betterment of the galaxy.

Their outspoken love now serves as a source of hope to their fellow Ironsides.

J2Mh7KD.png
Amelais Mira
AKA "Mercury"

Sergeant
Infiltration Specialist

Mira and Cain had played together as children before Cain's father passed away and his mother became ill, forcing him down a path of trouble. She never stopped caring for her childhood friend, drawn to his shy yet boyish charms.

Their infatuation became evident the day they manned the ramparts in defence of their homeworld, partaking in what was to be the turning point of the Bryn War. In the immediate aftermath, she was there for the funeral of Cain's mother whose poor health made her an unfortunate casualty of the war, and he supported her in bidding her parents farewell. With tears still wet on their cheeks, the young couple appeared before the saviour of their city requesting that he take them with him when he departs Sev Tok.

Mira and Cain would become founding members of the Bloody 88th, pushing back the Bryn horde with ever-increasing grit and determination. They followed their beloved commander as his protégés, and when offered the chance to continue serving under a different flag, the two Anvilites were the first to accept.

NtMVXhJ.png
Ciaphas Trek
AKA "Trader"

Privateer
Intelligence Officer

Bothans are renowned for their spy networks and pursuit of political power, ever duplicitous and paranoid. Trek was no different, inheriting his family's network carefully cultivated for generations across several systems. A member of the Silver Jedi Concord by the time of the emergence of the Bryn'adûl, the world of Bothawui invoked ar'krai, calling on all Bothans to devote their resources to a common cause.

Trek used his contacts to smuggle supplies behind enemy lines, keeping many systems in the fight long enough to slow down the impending doom by several months. He was known to fly some of these missions himself, as evidenced by his appearance to reinforce the 88th Battalion on Kessel with critical stores of munitions to maintain their assault on one of the Bryn'adûl hives. He and Heavenshield met there, and the pair struck up a professional partnership.

While never an official member of the Antarian Rangers, he was offered a place among the Ironsides, becoming their spymaster. Although not a frontline fighter, his intelligence network makes him a formidable strategist and an invaluable asset to the team. He frequently serves as Hak'ken's co-pilot.
