MAJOR FACTION CAPITALS


Faction Capitals are represented as planet icons on the Galaxy Map.



1. Each faction, upon creation, will name one planet as it's "Capital". Factions may not invade the capital planet unless you have occupied a neighboring hex.

2. The Defending Major Faction of a Capital Planet gets the following buffs during an Invasion targeting the Capital Planet:

A: Invasion Minimum Post Count: +100 Posts

B: Faction Aid Requests: +5 Writers




MAJOR FACTION ARMORY



1. Each Major Faction must have a list of it's ships, vehicles, and infantry units prepared and located under a topic titled “Armory Manifest”. This should be easily located within each Major Faction's discussion forums.





MAJOR FACTION INFLUENCE CLOUDS



1. Major Factions now have "Influence Clouds" displayed on the Galaxy Map.

2. A Major Faction spreads it's Influence Cloud by invading (Invasion) or dominating (Dominion) a planet near it's borders.

3. Planets invaded further than two grids away from a Major Faction's borders will not increase a Major Faction's Influence Cloud.

4. Planets dominated further than one grid away will raise the Dominion's minimum post count by +50 posts per grid from the nearest point in your Major Faction's Influence Cloud. Planets gained this way will increase a Major Faction's Influence Cloud.

5. Planets on the official SWRP Chaos Map whose icon touches a grid line counts as a planet for all hexes the line(s) intersect.

6. If a Major Faction's Influence Cloud is completely severed into two or more smaller clouds by an Invasion or any other method, the Major Faction loses the cloud(s) furthest away from it's Capital Planet and only retains the cloud it's Capital Planet resides in.


Major Faction Deterioration
  • If a Major Faction fails a Major Faction Monthly Check-In, it shall lose approximately 1/3 of it's Influence Cloud on the SWRP Chaos Map.
  • If a Major Faction fails a second consecutive Major Faction Monthly Check-In, it shall lose approximately 2/3 of it's remaining Influence Cloud.
  • If a Major Faction fails a third consecutive Major Faction Monthly Check-In, the Major Faction will be demoted to a Minor Faction.
DOMINION



Label your faction's name, the planet, and the opposing faction (if there is one) in the topic title. Acquisitions will not be awarded in the future if this is not adhered to.



At any point, a faction may declare “dominion” over an unoccupied planet outside of their Influence Cloud. This is a way for factions to passively gain planets without competing with other factions.



Other factions may not interrupt a faction's Dominion thread.



The faction must meet all minimum requirements in order to gain the planet during a Dominion.



1. The thread must have a minimum total of 100 posts.

2. The faction must construct a believable plot for the duration of the role-play and present some sort of opposition for it's members.

3. You may only dominion a planet that is available on the SWRP: Chaos Official Map.

4. If you finish a dominion within 30 minutes of a faction finishing a dominion on the same planet, an Invasion thread for the planet must be initiated to decide ownership of the planet.

5. All posts in a Dominion must be made to be quality posts.

6. Dominions must have a minimum of 5 unique writers posting in it.



Once a faction has finished it's Dominion of a planet, consult a Roleplay Judge to have the Dominion approved and the planet added to the Faction's Planet List.



A Major Faction may begin multiple Dominions at once.


INVASION



Label your faction's name, the planet, and the opposing faction (if there is one) in the topic title. Acquisitions will not be awarded in the future if this is not adhered to.



Before an Invasion begins, Faction Leaders must convene to discuss how the Invasion will be handled by both sides to account for fairness and balance. If a compromise cannot be reached please consult a Role-play Judge.



At any point, a Major Faction may “invade” another Major Faction's occupied planet. This involves one Major Faction's members fighting for control of the planet against another Major Faction's members.



The winning faction must meet all minimum requirements in order to declare victory.



1. The thread must have a minimum total of 100 posts between both factions.

2. Both factions must have a minimum of 5 members per side. If either faction cannot meet this requirement within 72 hours of the beginning of the invasion, that faction forfeits.



Once an Invasion nears it's completion, the Major Faction Leaders involved in the Invasion must convene with each other and decide on the victor. If a decision cannot be made, a Roleplay Judge must be privately contacted and he/she will make the final decision.



A Major Faction may only begin one invasion at a time and may not start another until the original invasion is completed and judged.

REQUESTING AID:

1. Both the opposing and defending Major Factions in an Invasion thread may request assistance from factions not involved in the thread.

2. A maximum of 10 characters total per side in the Invasion may provide assistance. Each character must be played by a different writer.

3. Character rotations/substitutions are not allowed. Only the first 10 characters to provide assistance per side may do so.

4. Faction Leaders will be held accountable for regulating the number of characters they have assisting their Faction.

5. A character fulfilling an aid request for another Major Faction may not join any more Invasions until the Invasion thread they are aiding in is completed.
