BIOGRAPHY: Emma Farron grew up on Coruscant. She led a normal life with her parents until she was 14 years old. Emma’s parents were smugglers for the Jedi though they tried to keep a low profile for the safety of themselves and Emma. Emma was force sensitive, though her parents were not, and they knew that their line of work could put her in danger if the wrong people found out. They always tried to be careful and keep their actions hidden from prying eyes. Due to loose lips from some of the operatives they worked with however, the Sith found out what they had been doing.
One night Emma and her parents were taken from their home and brought to an interrogation facility. Over the course of a few weeks, Emma’s parents were mentally tortured and broken for information on those they worked with. Meanwhile, the Sith had taken an interest in Emma. She was a strong kid, tried to fight back as well as she could while being terrified of what had become of her parents. Emma being a force sensitive was probably the only reason she was kept alive. One of the Sith took it upon himself to meet with Emma everyday. His name was Lucian. Lucian slowly twisted Emma’s mind, convincing her that the Jedi were to blame for her parents' demise. His words echoed in her mind over and over. They became a mantra of anger and pain. “If the Jedi cared at all then why weren’t they here to protect them? The Jedi are too weak to strike down the Empire. I could help you hone your powers and you’ll never be weak again.”
After 2 months of Lucian’s rigorous manipulation and coercion, Emma was reformed. She had gone from prisoner to a husk to a power focused child with a new outlook. Her mind no longer drifted and wondered where her parents were or what their condition was. It instead looked forward to the daily visits from Lucian to work on her force powers. She was a quick learner and Lucian had told her that she was able to channel her force very effectively for a child her age. Lucian had successfully taught her telekinesis but her emotions would flare up sometimes and cause her power to slip from her control.
Emma was angry. Her anger was for the Jedi, Lucian had warped her mind to believe the ones who swore to protect the galaxy had abandoned her. She wanted them to feel the pain she had felt when she was taken from her home. Emma wanted them to suffer and show them that what they thought was power was nothing compared to what she was going to be capable of.
Emma gained more freedom as her training with Lucian advanced. Having fully given herself to the dark side, she could be trusted to roam the halls of the facility instead of being locked up in her cell. She would walk the corridors and hear the screams and pleading of other people being interrogated. The sound of their anguish would put a smile on Emma’s face, in her mind, they were getting what they deserved.
Another half of a year passed and Lucian had forged Emma into a strong Sith apprentice. With her proficiency in channeling the force, Lucian thought it best that Emma became an Infiltration Operative for the Sith. By now Emma had learned to hide her powers with Force Stealth and even disable security cameras with ease thanks to force-flash. Regarding weaponry, Lucian thought it best to avoid a lightsaber, since it gives away an identity so to speak once it is seen, instead he taught Emma force weapon, with her innate ability to channel the force so well, it would allow her to use anything she had around her as a weapon, and that made her all the more deadly.
On the eve of the day before Emma’s 15th birthday, after a long day of sparring and training, Lucian approached her. He told Emma that her training was almost complete, that she had come far within only a single year of training. Emma felt a small amount of pride, but her anger still was always right under the surface, ready to break out at a moment’s notice. She found it worked best for her there, ready to be utilized. “What else is left for me to learn?” Emma asked Lucian. She was promised by Lucian that she would be a sith agent after her training was complete. She was ready to serve, at least she thought so. “Follow me and I will show you your final lesson.” Lucian coldly stated.
Emma followed Lucian down the dark steel halls of the compound, pondering how they once were a prison, and now, in some way, a home for her. Her mind sometimes trailed off and thought of all that had occurred over the last year. Her life had been completely changed in an instant. All because the Jedi were too weak to look out for the ones that had helped them for years. As she started to think more, Lucian stopped in front of a door. Emma knew this was one of the interrogation rooms that was used here. What she wasn’t prepared for however, was who was waiting in there for them.
The door opened and Emma held back a gasp. Her parents were slumped over and chained against the wall. Emma fought the urge to run over to them, they were still her parents after all, even though their actions brought suffering. “What are they doing here?” she asked Lucian. Emma had inquired about her parents' fate since they arrived at the compound but was always told that they had been taken care of. Emma thought that Lucian meant they had been killed but it appeared she was wrong. “They have been here since you were brought here nearly 1 year ago. They proved to be quite formidable against our interrogation techniques, but eventually they folded, as they all do.” Emma’s parents struggled to slowly raise their heads but went wide eyed when they saw her face. “Emma, you’re not dead, thank goodness” her mother managed to get out before being winded once more. Emma’s anger flared up, and she yelled at her parents. “NO THANKS TO YOU.” Emma felt Lucian’s gaze upon her. She realized that this would be her final test. At that moment, Emma was prepared to do what she needed to.
Emma screamed once more “how could you provide for the Jedi when all they do is take and give nothing in return! For years you helped them but when you needed them most, where were they, off “saving the galaxy” and letting you rot in a cell, forced to be subjugated to torture and suffering.” Her father spoke after her, “What have they done to you, my sweet child?” Emma scoffed at the question, “What they have done is shown me true power, the way to protect myself and not have to live in fear ever again, I’ve learned more in 1 year here than in the first 14 with you.” There was a heavy silence in the air after Emma finished. Lucian broke the silence, “Do you understand your final test?” Emma looked over to her master, eyes on the brink of tears. “Yes, I do, I will cut them out and sever my past from my future.” Lucian nodded “Good, now finish them and become the sith I know you can become.”
Emma’s parents became frightened. They finally understood why they had been kept alive for all these months. They began shouting and begging Emma to put aside her anger and free them from their shackles. Emma looked at the floor for a moment, wondering how she would end her parents' lives. Emma couldn’t hear them though, her head had suddenly filled with an immense force. Their cries were muffled as her anger grew. A single tear rolled down her cheek as she lifted her head. Her eyes were glaring orange as anger overcame her entire body. Emma’s parents' tone shifted from cries for her to screams of anguish as their skin began to blister. Their arms and faces were being melted away.
Emma wasn’t sure what was happening, but she felt that it was her that was causing the pain. When her anger was at its peak, Emma’s parents were all but skinless and deformed. They looked like they were melting, their insides were sloshing out onto the floor. Once they were no longer alive in any capacity, Emma felt drained and she had to close her eyes and hold her head from the amount of pressure that was built up inside of it. She dropped to her knees from the pain.
After she calmed down she managed to stand up and look at Lucian. He looked pleasantly surprised with her. “What was that, did you do something to me” Emma asked. Lucian responded with a smile “No, my apprentice, that was all you, I have only heard of Deadly Sight, but have never seen it in person. You hold the power to kill with a single look, I find myself envious, but alas, I will help you hone it, after all, you are a Sith now.”
Having murdered her parents, Emma was now fully severed from her old life and committed to the Sith Empire. Emma felt proud to have made her master astonished, but the pain that came when she ushered her anger into that attack was excruciating. Over the next few years Emma learned to harness her anger and control her powers better, she quickly rose in the ranks of Sith operatives with her abilities.
Emma has been an operative of the Sith for over 15 years now and her past is pushed so far down it might as not even exist. She is now almost always on a job, she enjoyed her line of work. She also visits Lucian from time to time to report in and learn from him as she is always wanting to better herself as an operative.
