OOC NOTES: The Crossroads Republic is a faction whose basis is to apply IRL military themes and realism to the way it RP's. Therefore, ALL NEW characters created for the Crossroads Republic faction that are intended to go to the military will not be created by jumping ranks straight to anything but Recruit. The reason, there are standards which I intend to make an effort towards helping bring all our members up to, teaching simple stuff like: "How our comms work", "The best way to proceed into a town", "How to clear a room or a building", "How to operate as part of a convoy", "How to operate as a ship in a fleet", "How to operate as a starfighter pilot in a squadron", "How to treat casualties in combat", etc. There will also be more complex teaching moments in our threads on stuff like: "Our military's tactical, operational, and strategic doctrines", "How to command a unit ranging from fireteams to entire divisions", "How to command a fleet in a variety of battle space conditions", etc. There's much to learn, and Crossroads, as a faction, will strive to welcome anyone and everyone, teaching and learning. But above all, Crossroads will provide a chain of command, standards, and benefits to loyalty and team play.

Your character names are up to you, but your names will not include your rank, your rank, unit, and branch will go into your Custom Title. For instance a character for going towards the Army:

Character Name: John Doe

Custom Title: RCT: Army Basic Training (Note that if John Doe is in the Fleet it'll be "Fleet Basic Training")

When John Doe graduates he'll be given the rank of Private 2nd Class, abbreviated to PV2, and then assigned to a unit. So, say John Doe up there graduates basic, and is assigned to the 1st Squad, 1st Platoon, A Company 1st Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division

Character Name: John Doe

Custom Title: PV2: 1-1-A Co, 1-1 IR, 1st ID

Or, if John Doe decides to go to the Fleet, his Custom Title will be his rank, the first rank after graduation being Crewman 3rd Class, followed by his ship assignment, CRS is the abbreviation of "Crossroads Republic Ship" as such:

Character Name: John Doe

Custom Title: CMN-3: CRS Repulse

When you have gotten your character posted you will then apply your character to the Crossroads Republic faction page, where it will then be approved, or if there are any issues that do not coincide, like the rank or the age for instance, the character profile will be contacted and either make the change, or provide a basis for them having such a rank or an age. From there, your character will go through training and/or go into their RP threads.
