Vyr was raised to be Mandalorian, despite his parents both being Dar'manda. As part of the Resol'nare, his parents taught his to move in armor, fight in armor, and live in armor. His parents had recycled their armor to make the armor of his older sister, who went out into the galaxy by the name of Vila Sayne. Bereft of such charity, when Vyr went out into the galaxy, his first mission was to craft himself armor. He chose to do so in a traditional design, though his armor is colored in an unusual color, steel gray with a slight purple tint. Choosing to honor his parents and announcing his reliability in the color choice, were anyone to still adhere to the ages old color scheme.

Vyr is a close in fighter at heart, and this is reflected in the heavier design of his armor, and choices of specific tech added into the armor. The repulsor nodes at the front and back of his armor are designed to push anything away from his immediate vicinity. In order to escape the inevitable equal and opposite reaction, the nodes are coded to provide enough push when the other is activated to keep Vyr standing his ground. The suit was also designed to be hermetically sealed, allowing for use in environments that were hostile to his continuing breathing. The major down side is that his armor is dependent on power systems, and significant electrical or ionic damage can short out systems and leave him in a lurch.
